***THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE JEROME AVENUE LOCATION*** I got the package for 3 45-minute lessons, a 5 hr class, for them to schedule my road test, and use their car. First I only received 2 full lessons. I was a few minutes late to the first one and instead of allowing me to reschedule they told me it was ok. But we got in the car and drove for 15 minutes and the driver ended the lesson. They told me that if I lived close enough to the school that they would pick me up and drop me off for the lessons. I live within a 5-minute drive to the school. When it came time to take the lessons, they told me they don't do that so I ended up spending money for cab fare every time. Before that I asked for a refund but they told me that is not allowed as well. It took almost two months to get a road test. On the day of the test I took a cab to the school which they told me they would pick me up that day as well. More lies. Then we had to take a can to the road test site. I don't even think they had a car because we used a car from another school and had to take a cab back to the site. The only problem I didn't have was with the 5-hr class. This is absolutely the worst driving school in New York and I would recommend you save yourself time and money. It's so not worth the headache dealing with these people!!!!! read more

I had many bad experiences with many driving schools due to it being unprofessional. I told them what my goal was to complete my lessons towards the end of August. I bought the package of 10 lesson I had no driving experiences at all. I had started off with someone that wasn't really fully focused on teaching me and I reported it to the school. They refer me to Emmanuel, he stern and strict but in a good way & hilarious. But I liked it because I was able to learn. THANKS TO HIM I WAS ABLE TO LEARN ON MY FIFTH LESSON ALL THE WAY TO THE LAST LESSON. If you work with the school they would work with you. Amazing great people, real respectful even through the situation that occur when I first started. Due to last minute cancellation they offer me another lesson with LEO who is also a great instructor. Thanks to sky auto driving school, that I passed and got my driver license. Last but not least I'm most grateful for the front desk staff Lourdes she so patient and work with me every step of the way! I had a great experience with Sky Auto Driving on Marmion Avenue! They did a wonderful job at building my confidence and teaching me the skills needed to pass my exam. This is coming from a person who did not ever drive before. All of the staff are very friendly; the instructors are patient and highly skilled, and the office staff is always pleasant. I would truly recommend this driving school! My instructor was Jonathan and he was very funny, informative and most importantly patient. After about 6 lessons and finally was able to pass my road test I was absolutely nothing but excited! One thing I definitely really liked about this school is that just when I was ready to give up on myself, they didn't give up on me which I believe is extremely important because there's times when you're going to feel frustrated but they are there to point and Guide you to the right direction. This company is a driving school but they don't adhere to parking regulations. One of their drivers parked their vehicle in from of my parking garage and I could not get out to go to work. How can they teach proper driving skills if their staff can't read parking signs? Idiots!!!! read more

I did like 20 Driving Lessons. He will sit there on the passage seat and explain things to you in real life Scenario or Situation. He is there to Help you Pass!!! 5 Lessons was Parallel Park and 5 lesson to do a Broken U-Turn. You will be driving safely with confidence. Reception at the School is Very Good. ***ABOUT SKY AUTO AT JEROME*** Not a great experience. I took 10 lessons. Used 3 different cars. And then used a fourth car for the test. As you may know, cars have different feels. Some brakes are soft, others are sharp and abrupt. As a learner you would hope the school make your experience easier and smoother. Even with my driver, I would have to ask him sometimes if something during my driving was right or wrong before he lets me know. Often, it's something I didn't do right. Otherwise, he lets it slide. Not good. During the test I was asked to parallel park. Problem? It was at a slight slope. And you know when you realize something different at the test, it throws you off. Not good at all. At least if you are taking 10 lessons, an effective instructor, at some point should have taught you to park at a slight slope where it requires you to step on the gas to accomplish successful parking. Also, my instructor acted like he didn't want to be there for the lessons. I would not mention his name, but the school will know. Perhaps that is his personality, or it was because he was young and would rather be somewhere else. Just puzzling. My take: When a driving school has plenty of customers and is thriving, they seem to gloss over details. Trust me, I've learned. I had a great experience with Sky Driving School. I passed my road test with them! I took 7 classes and 6 of those were with Antonio. He was great- smart, kind and a good teacher. One lesson was with another teacher, a woman whose name I forget now, but she was also very helpful and helped me get my steering and turning down pat. They are professional at this school. Antonio taught me the easiest parallel parking method I've tried. Before Sky, I took 3 lessons with another school and I didn't pass back then. They were good but not as detailed. She was very rude and unprofessional. She gave attitude after I finally got through to her over the phone. My testimony I went to a driving school before this and learned absolutely NOTHING! i decided that since my permit was going to be up next year i might as well try one more time to obtain my license. After a google search of the best local driving schools in the Bronx i came across this one. i went in and picked up a 10 lesson package. The best instructors in that place in my opinion were Jay and Leonel. They were very patient with me and taught me everything and even worked with me on what i needed to improve on as far as driving. I was taught how to park, do a broken U-turn and also what to do at stop signs and intersections. April 24th, 2017 was my road test (which was yesterday) and i passed! if you want to learn how to drive and need instructors who are patient and willing to work with you come here...ask for Jay and Leonel. Great school near my home! My instructor, Leonel, picked me up every lesson early. He taught me tips and tricks about adjusting the mirrors and being aware at all times. He also taught me 2 strategic methods in regards to the 3 point u-turn and parallel parking. My experience with this establishment started with the advertisement of the cars rolling around the Bronx and then I researched online reviews. The school uses big font and appropriate advertisement on each of their cars. This also helped as we practiced driving through the streets and with branding the company, very wise choice. The driving instructors and other staff are professional and welcoming. Special shout out to the 5 hour class instructor, Giovanni aka Mr. Reyes, Wandy, and Kenny (the best). Kenny provides this helpful hint when parallel parking- $2 pizza. You will understand once you take some lessons with him. Sky auto driving school was a great choice for me. They have great payment plans and make sure that everyone is able to afford it. Every employee at this driving school is a team player and eager to help the students. I was a first time driver, I did not do any driving outside of this class and I passed my driving test on the first go. The instructor that I had was Kenny. Kenny is amazing and professional. He is very patient and takes time to explain things in details. He makes learning fun by joking around but when it comes to getting the rules, he'll make sure you'll get it right. When I was taking the test, I would think of what Kenny would say, "What are you doing Clara? Did you make a complete stop? Is that how you park? That's a fail." Kenny believes in his students and gives them encouragement and motivation. Driving does not feel like something to be afraid of with him as your instructor but something that you're going to conquer. (Fordham location-Jerome avenue)Been going to this driving school since June of 2017 and started out with the 5 lesson package with 5 hour class. Before I even started my lessons, they tried to schedule me for a road test (IDK WHY) BUT YEA.. Any who, I took my lessons(each scheduled weeks apart) in which every lesson I took the instructor (Juliana) was always on her phone. Long story short I had to take additional lessons(for more money) I didn't take my road test until September of 2017 in which I FAILED. This school didn't seem to show any concern on making sure their customers pass their exam. After a couple months, I started searching for another driving school... this was now February of 2018. I found VALENTINO DRIVING SCHOOL located in the Bronx(BEST SCHOOL EVER) I first hesitated because I didn't want to spend any more money due to the fact I already spent a lot at sky auto. So I payed for more lessons at the new driving school and let me tell you they taught me THE RIGHT WAY. I thought I knew how to drive from my experience with sky auto but Nope they taught me exactly what I needed to pass and guess what I PASSED my road exam. They were much more concerned patient and most of all valued their customers. Too each its own but I will not Recommend Sky auto driving school.
