After heavy monsoon rains and winds caused water to enter our home, we contacted our insurance agent to notify them that we would be filing a claim. We were "advised" against it as "so far all monsoon claims have been denied due to homeowners not doing yearly maintenance on their roofs." I didn't know that was even required. So just when I was going to take the loss and absorb what we estimated would be a 15-20K job, I was told about the public adjuster service. Interested, I did my research and found a couple to interview. None of the big companies even bothered to call or email me back, guess I was too small a job for them. One that did, a few days later, wasn't interested. AJR responded immediately, on a Sunday night, and set up an appointment for the next day. Bruce met with me and told me straight out that this would be a battle, but he was willing to take the challenge and see what he could do. Bruce immediately took over communicating with the insurance company and the adjuster. He attended every vendor meeting at the house and was there to answer questions, provide input, feedback, and support. In a word, Bruce is a Pitbull, but he's the pit bull that's on your side! Don't expect any coddling, he will be very straight forward and frank with you. Most importantly, he knows the nuances of the policies and helps to maximize your claim. At the end of the journey, we ended up with a new roof, new floors, new interior paint, vents cleaned, windows washed and elated to be back in a totally renovated house! I can honestly say all this would not have been possible if not for Bruce's tenacity and knowledge of insurance policies. His guidance and assistance are unmeasurable! Turned a possible loss for us into a six figure settlement! I cannot recommend AJR Public Adjusters enough! And a HUGE thank you to Bruce!

I received quotes for work to be done on 2 properties. Not a huge job ($3000) but a solid variety of tasks that allowed me to see if this is an experienced company that can do the jobs well and reliably (installing ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, weather-stripping exterior doors, tightening a few loose toilets). They said that it would take 4 days to complete our job. So I waited 3 weeks until they could scheduled us in. At the end of the 4 days, this was what was completed: 1 ceiling fan installed in a bedroom. Nothing else. 4 days to install a ceiling fan? The injury to insult was the total lack of communication from the office. Not one single email, text or phone call after I left multiple messages as to what the status of our job was. We had tenants moving in the following week so I sent an detailed email to cancel and explained what went so terribly wrong with this job. No reply. Just an invoice for the 1 ceiling fan. I found a different handyman who singlehandedly completed the entire scope of work in 2 days! without complaint or fanfare and $840 cheaper. He is now my go-to guy for all my repairs and remodeling jobs.

We hired SERVEPRO of Scottsdale in August 2024 to help with a water leak in our casita. They walked off the Job in January 2025, UNCOMPLETED! Jeff and Sean, the project manager, cut off all communication with us, phone calls, emails and text messages, forcing us to hire another contractor to finish the job. One of the subs they hired was a tile guy. He showed up with boxes of tile, some broken, and left them piled on the floor. We never saw him again. As mentioned above, we were forced to hire our own contractor to complete ALL of the tile work. We had to buy more tile to do the base boards, and a new bathroom sink that they broke. Furthermore, they stole both of our big area rugs we asked about repeatedly, with no answers. We had to go out and buy new rugs to replace their theft that cost us thousands of dollars. We did not complete the job with the new contractor until March 2025. SERVEPRO (Jeff and Sean) did not deliver on the work contract we signed, and we have all of this well documented. We had our insurance agency involved in every detail and they were shocked! They continue sending us a fraudulent invoices almost 1 1/2 years after quitting the job. UNACCEPTABLE AND ANNOYING!!
