Don't do it. Th I hired them for a total loss fire at my home. When they do call you back, my adjuster would spend most of the call talking about the million dollar plus cases he was working on. I got tired of it and fired them. Their parting email said my case was settled months ago. If it was, I have no knowledge or money. They won't respond to my inquiries about it. They are happy to take 10% but won't return calls even if your case is open. One of the dumbest decisions I ever made was to hire him. read more

I turned to Skipton & Associates for help dealing with a difficult insurance claim caused by a fire. They came to my house talking like they were super heroes that would battle the evil insurance carrier and deliver justice and help me get my house restored. PFFFFT! After six months of accomplishing nothing, I helped myself by calling upper management at the insurance carrier and negotiated a settlement with very little help from Skipton. Non-the-less Skipton & Associates was happy to take over TWENTY EIGHT THOUSAND dollars while letting my family go through hell. I honestly like Jack Hanks as a person but he did little to provide any service in return for the HUGE payday. I asked Jack to write an important letter to help resolve a situation with a contractor. He said he would do it. I followed up a second time. Unfortunately he failed to keep his commitment. Justin Skipton was TERRIBLE at communicating. Days and days would pass no return call. Email? Funny, I started writing this review and never finished it. I used to work for insurance companies and had terrible experiences with PAs in Florida and Texas, but I ran into these guys a couple times and realized that PAs are not all bad. Unfortunately, the property insurance industry has become really bad against insureds so I decided to leave the whole industry.... until my friend had a really bad insurance experience and needed a PA. These guys are easily the most honest, knowledgeable and diligent PAs in town. I referred him here and they did a great job!!! If you are a total moran and cannot read and understand an insurance policy. Or you cannot find a family member or friend that understand a insurance policy hire these guys. Just remember, these guys are not attorneys. If the insurance company screws you, then on top of that they tell these guys to get screwed, well...you will end up having to pay them 15% even if they get nothing from the insurance company.
