Not to mention that everything was extremely expensive, and the mandatory orientation is basically just a tour of all the bugs you'd find in your apples, which I get, but even I was like...yikes. We were able to find plenty of apples, but they cost us around $80 and the cider was $12 for a half gallon, which we actually had to strain once we got home because of the bugs we were finding in it. I spent a ton of time cutting around bugs and even had to throw several apples out while prepping apples for apple butter. It was delicious in the end, but I wouldn't have eaten these apples raw. The staff also seemed pretty miserable and unfriendly, which was disappointing. Overall: not worth the cost. :(

I came here with my parents the other day to do some strawberry picking while they were visiting…read more We all had a great time and got some delicious strawberries! The parking lot for pickers is just north of the address on Yelp but they had plenty of signs that made it easy to find. You have to go down a gravel road to get there so keep that in mind if you don't want your car getting dirty. They had quite a few rows of strawberries for picking, and had 4 different varieties available. We also saw some apple trees where the apples were growing for picking in the fall and some peach trees. They also have veggies to pick but we didn't walk that far back. A lot of the strawberry plants had been pretty picked over but still had plenty of fruit if you pulled up the leaves and looked. We ended up picking about 3 lbs of fruit to take home. The fields are super dusty so make sure to wear sneakers you don't care about because they will get covered in dirt. We enjoyed a relaxing time picking berries and enjoying the beautiful views. I will definitely be back with my husband and daughter to enjoy picking some more fruit.

No one can convince me there's a better smell on this planet than fresh strawberries in the summer breeze. Not rain, not bread, not even raspberries--though those came in close second. Bailey's Farm is a dream. My mom and I spent the afternoon picking strawberries and raspberries together, surrounded by blooming fields and buzzing bees. The strawberries were bright red, perfectly ripe, and so fragrant it felt like walking through a natural perfume. That smell alone could heal your entire nervous system. The raspberries were generous and delicious too, but it was the strawberries that made time stop. We picked slowly, laughed often, and let the wind guide us from row to row. It wasn't just a farm--it was a pause button in the middle of our road trip, and a memory I'll hold close forever. The only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot. The entrance and exit are one-way, but it's not clearly marked. It's a small detail, but clearer signage would make arrival smoother. Still, nothing compares to stepping out of the car and into that scent. Bailey's Farm gives you more than berries--it gives you a reason to breathe deeper. And I already can't wait to go back.

The proprietor was very helpful, and gracious -- I'm sure I'm not the first suburbanite to have crossed his path -- and now, I won't have to check the circulars for sales on blueberries for a good, long time. I'm told by my local relatives that it you're planning to go, check first whether it's open, because hours are not regular, and, of course, the harvest time has to have come. The worker said I could drive there but I already had my baby in the stroller out of the car ready to go so I decided to walk it- bad idea. This isn't too far from north Seattle located in Lake Stevens and parking was ample. They even have a few farm animals (e.g. chickens and goats) where you can pay quarters to buy food to feed them. Food wise, we didn't get to try too much, we really wanted the roasted corn but they were understaffed that day and didn't want to wait for it. I got a corn dog and they also had burgers... menu had fries but they didn't have fries that day either. The highlights were the play area for the kids, giant bouncy pumpkin, the cow ride for kids and the hay ride. Best of all, we didn't have to wait in line. They also had several photo spots with gorgeous pumpkin decor set up. It probably would've felt more festive if there were more people but it was still a great time for our family.

They have your pumpkin patches and apple orchard for picking. They have your classic corn maze with a hayride to take you to the entrance. They have plenty of animal friends to see and pet. And what kind of fall festivity would it be without foods, such as apple cider, corn, and brisket. The food portions were MASSIVE. I would highly recommend sharing and if you're still hungry, it's an excuse to try more food! The mac n' cheese was our favorite food, and our favorite drink had to be the cider slushy. I love hot apple cider, but their new cider slushy was so refreshing and apple-y. All the prices are reasonable too given how much food you get. For this farm, some activities are completely free if you just want to visit, such as their pumpkin patch, apple orchard, and country store. Otherwise, their weekday price is $15 and $23 on weekends (if you buy online). The caveat is that there are limited activities on weekdays depending on staff availability. I'd recommend going the weekend if you want the full experience, it's totally worth it. Swans Trails Farms is truly the perfect fall activity for everyone, and I haven't even been able to describe everything they have to offer. I was there for an apple…read morepicking event, although the organizers were a bit late, so when I showed up at the end of the apple trail I didn't see them. I tried asking the workers, but they didn't have any knowledge about it and then sent me to the front ticket booth. Let me tell you, trying to figure what was going on was a Kafkaesque nightmare. I crashed at least three other gatherings as I was being directed from one place to another. Whoops. Anyways, I finally found my group and we picked apples. I like how they had labels on each row of trees to identify the cultivar. It also turns out that they put a few crabapples in each row for pollination purposes, but they're very obviously not to be picked as the fruits are small. Apples were $3.50/lb, but slightly cheaper if you buy them pre-picked. The fresh apples taste much better than the ones in grocery stores, which can be stored for up to a year in warehouses. I was surprised to find the fresh apples were more crisp with thinner skin! I got a cider doughnut before I left, and it was so soft, tender, and pillowy! There was great apple flavor.
