The massaging part of it was good but I felt that everything else was rushed and half-assed. There was another patron coming so I felt the woman doing my pedicure rushed my paint job to attend to her. To be honest on the fence of coming back, maybe if I am in a pinch or in the area to give it another shot. But I think I will stick with my go-to place.

I was taken back quickly and examined within minutes, rather than being left waiting around as happens at so many medical offices. Allison performed a thorough full-body skin examination and explained what she was doing and what she was looking for throughout the appointment. She was professional, personable, and very easy to talk to. As a 60-year-old lifelong sun worshiper, I half-expected a lecture about my tan, but she addressed it professionally and without making the visit uncomfortable. From the front desk through the examination itself, the entire visit was efficient, thorough, and comfortable. We have been very pleased with the care here and would highly recommend the Palos Heights office.

The cave is darkened, walls appeared to be made of bricks of salt, and numerous salt lamps are recessed in the walls. There's a fireplace filled with many large salt lamps, too. The ceiling has a couple of panels that simulate a starlit night sky, and new age-y music plays. Seating is in zero gravity chairs, comfy. A recorded message at the beginning of the session explains the benefits of the salt cave. It's easy to relax completely! The fifty minute session seemed appropriate, not too long and not to short. The nurse/medical assistant was a very friendly professional male (sorry, I didn't catch your name). Mary Kate did a full body check and then discussed her findings and my options. I was initially referred for a facial mole that had begun to change. Mary Kate also found a couple of other suspicious moles, and she was able to remove all 3 during my initial visit which was an awesome time saver. She thoroughly explained the procedure, answered all of my questions, discussed after care, provided some gauze and petroleum jelly for the road, and provided a sheet of aftercare instructions showing what to expect in the coming days. So far, everything is healing as expected. I will continue to seek treatment here and would recommend Mary Kate without hesitation.
