I first visited VCCTB about 20 years ago for spider veins and IPL treatments. I later returned for Botox and Dysport. While Dr. Hunt handled my vein and laser treatments and Kristin was my injector and laser technician, I was satisfied with my results. After they were no longer my providers, I experienced repeated problems despite several adjustments. I eventually returned to my dermatologist's injector, who used 38 units and achieved the results I wanted. Although my injector does not offer promotional specials, the product was prepared in front of me and the results were excellent. Later, my dermatologist recommended a CO laser treatment for my mild sebaceous hyperplasia and quoted approximately $2,500. During my consultation, VCCTB also confirmed that CO laser treatment was appropriate and offered the procedure at a much lower price, so I decided to give them another try. In February 2026, I received a face-and-neck CO laser treatment for $900. I was told to wait a few months for the full results, but the condition remained. Because my case was mild and the treatment had been recommended by my dermatologist and confirmed by VCCTB, I was disappointed that I saw little to no improvement. I was then quoted an additional $500 for a touch-up, so I decided to return to my dermatologist for further treatment. I also purchased a Mother's Day IPL special and returned three additional times because I was dissatisfied with the results. A YAG laser was used during those visits, but I ultimately returned to my dermatologist for further treatment. Everyone in the office was kind, but the results did not meet my expectations. In addition to IPL, I purchased a 48-unit Botox special after being off Botox for about a year. The placement and results were unsatisfactory, so I returned for eight additional units, but still did not achieve the outcome I expected. I chose VCCTB because of the lower prices and because I had originally been happy with the practice. Unfortunately, the results did not match the quality of care I received from my dermatologist. I am now much happier with my current treatment. My advice is not to choose a treatment based solely on a promotional price.

However, during my prenatal massage she provided a lot of unsolicited advice throughout the session, which made it difficult to fully relax at a time in pregnancy when relaxation is especially important. Still, I was willing to overlook that part of the experience. The real issue happened at checkout. I was told I could not use my gift card for the service because the appointment had been marked as "prepaid." When I explained that their online booking system doesn't provide any option to apply a gift card, there was no willingness to adjust the payment or offer any kind of accommodation. Situations like this raise concerns about poor booking systems, lack of customer flexibility, and business practices that ultimately leave customers stuck with gift cards they cannot use as expected. Customer service and long-term client relationships don't seem to be a priority here. I had previously experienced an ineffective RF microneedling treatment elsewhere and wanted to avoid repeating that experience. I've also had three successful RF microneedling treatments in the past, so I'm familiar with the procedure and recovery process. After those treatments, I experienced noticeable redness, swelling, tiny puncture marks, and some scabbing over the following days, followed by visible long-term improvements. This time my face returned completely to normal within just a few hours, with no signs of having undergone a procedure. While I understand that recovery varies and visible downtime does not necessarily determine effectiveness, the difference from my previous experiences was significant enough to make me question whether the treatment was performed at an effective intensity. As well as I was told by the person performing the procedure that my face will get worse over next few days. The spa contacted me the following day to ask how I was doing. I explained my disappointment in detail. They initially responded and offered an in-person follow-up appointment. I explained that I was happy to discuss the situation over the phone and could provide photographs documenting my recovery. Unfortunately, I never received another response. For a treatment that requires a significant financial investment, I expected better communication, transparency, and customer service, especially when a patient raises legitimate concerns.
