Everyone was so nice from the time I made my appointment on the phone to when I left. I went in to see Dr Crowley and his assistant Allison. They were so kind and gave me the best news. I had a bump on my ear and I thought it might be cancerous. Well best news everrrr it was "NOT"and is benign it's only a skin tag.. I will be forever grateful! Will be going next to try their esthetics floor. Well I went to my appointment today to see Dr Addison SOOO here is my update. let me tell you from the time she walked in I felt at ease and comfortable she listens she is enthusiastic and I did some Botox which I thought she was gentle and very professional. She will be my go to Dr. She also has a great assistant Anna who listens and explains everything very well. When checking out wow you will be so lucky to meet Miss Becky at the front desk on the 3rd floor she is one of the most positive upbeat people I've met here in Bozeman love her! Called ahead to advise was running behind appointment. Emily said over phone staff usually pretty generous with trying to work with clients and just to get with technicians to see what could be done. No such luck with the check in employee, after arriving 15-20 minutes late. No apology for the misunderstanding, front desk told it like it really was, I guess. I guess I'm used to people working with you, or at least doing what they say over the phone after the client calls ahead and gets the hope of an exception being made. Makes me feel like telling everyone I know plus ten more people how terrible this place is. Is there any other place in town that has better service? Might be time I start looking. read more

I took my son here to get a mole removed on his chin. I had previously had a mole removed at a different dr./office first visit. I should have taken him there instead of trying someplace new. While I like the doctor (Molly Buckland), the practice itself, and some employees there could use improving. One not everyone who worked there was helpful, friendly or that pleasant to us. First visit we arrived on time and had to check in in the entryway, then we were sent elsewhere to check in again for some reason. Even though I filled out all the paperwork online well before our visit. Then we sat in one waiting area for about 40-50 minutes. Before someone came out asking who we were and said that the check in didn't show us waiting. When we did get back to a room we had a consultation basically. That went fine minus the fact we had to schedule the procedure for another day. That's another time he had to take off school or work. We were even asked if we would like an estimate. I replied "yes that'd be great." We went back to the second check in area and paid our bill in cash and made the appointment for two weeks later. While waiting for his appointment I never received an estimate. So I called first and left a message about me waiting for an estimate and asked for one and never got a response. So I looked up on the SKIN CARE MT website and went through all the info and found something that said $200-$800 depending on the procedure. Then I called back day or two before the appointment to get a better estimate and was told that it could be $400 or more. That's fine I actually expected to pay about $450. But was told they really couldn't say exactly how much. I let it go thinking that it would probably be around the amount I originally thought. Day of appointment arrives. We show up on time. Check-in is slow again and had to check in two places again even though I filled out paperwork again two days prior I had to do it again in office for some reason. Then I was told we had a balance due. Um, for what I asked? We paid for the first visit when we were here last. They said they would look in it and sent us to the waiting area. Wait wasn't very long this time. We got back he had his procedure and everything went fine, no complication, just a regular mole removal and it was fairly quick even. Went to check out and was given a total of......$950 something!!!!! So I asked ok is that with the amount we paid last time included?! "No that's just for today. I was able to see that you paid for your first visit." Oh thanks for letting me know. That's a far cry from the $400 I got when I called. And it's even SIGNIFICANTLY MORE than what was listed on the website of $400-$800. Now I'm pretty irritated, shocked and surprised. I did express that I was surprised by that cost but went on and paid $500-600 in cash and $200-300 on a card. They said they would bill me since a paid over half. Fine. Whatever. Made an appointment to get his stitches out in one week. Got to this appointment and my son actually said to me "are they gonna charge us another $900 today?!" I said they better not charge us anything or I'll take those stitches out myself." The check in was slightly faster. Waiting was about 10-15 minutes. Got back the assistant (for lack of the correct word....I'm not sure sure about her actually title sorry) "hadn't removed these type of stitches" so she needed help learning. It seemed a bit difficult for these two to get them out. Afterwards my son said it "really hurt. She was really pulling hard." And he's a tough footballer who doesn't complain of pain much. Thankfully no charge! I will NEVER go back here! The slightly attitudy Judy, the little troubles, inconveniences and them not getting me the correct estimate as offered all compounded for me and the final outrageous fee was really the last straw. read more

I am a cash pay patient, I don't have insurance, so I paid $300 and received no treatment. This place clearly cares more about business than their patients. I do not recommend. I wish I looked a little further for a better dermatologist before going to Skin Care MT. read more

After my last visit, I feel so assured going to an office that has both dermatology and cosmetic services - had to share my experience in case it helps someone else! A few weeks ago, I went to get a dermaplane with Jessika (which was on promo for October!). As always, the staff was super sweet and helpful during checkin. They also just reorganized the practice to help organize patient flow better among three floors. (Derm, cosmetic, esthetic) When I got into my appointment, Jessika asked me if I had any sensitivities or allergies, and I pointed out that one particular area on my face was very dry to pay mind too and that it had been flaring up more with the weather change. While she was doing my dermaplane and looking closer, she recognized that it had similar signs to perioral dermatitis - and while she obviously wasn't able to diagnose it herself felt I should see a derm. I was about to leave for a 2week trip (why I needed my skin looking extra good!) and told her I was concerned about it too. Jessika offered to see if a derm was free to pop in right on the spot (I already have care established there). Addison, their PA, came in and was able to very quickly confirm that it was indeed dermatitis! She spent time talking it through with me and explaining my options for an antibiotic to help clear it. Was so grateful to get it taken care of and to Jessika for speaking up! This is the benefit of getting things done all in the same office! My appointment was a first (and last) visit to the dermatologist here. It was a "Wham bam...thank you maam" 10 minute service that leaves me angry. While freezing off a spot on my face, Dr. Bruce decided that he should cut off and biopsy a spot on my arm, even though I told him the spot on my arm was a 40+ year old scar. Imagine my surprise when they called with the results that the biopsy was merely scar tissue. I feel that since he couldn't find anything else of concern that I was charged for this service which I did not need or want! Now instead of a 40 year old scar on my arm, I have a brand new one :-( read more

This medical business is a joke. The personnel have no clue what they are doing. No follow up. You call and constantly need to leave a message. Messages get lost in translation. On top of it Botox treatments maybe last 4 weeks. The staff is full of themselves without any technical knowledge. read more

Cassidy. She was the one who 'helped' me. She did next to nothing. She gave me a prescription for something that 'might' help. From undressing to seeing her, then redressing and back out to the parking lot... took almost 15 minutes. Spent more time with the gal who checked me in (re: billing), and the nurse who did the intake, but that was only because she didn't know how to pronounce the medications I am on when going through the list. Mostly... Cassidy made me feel embarrassed for having interrupted her afternoon. As though I was not worth her time. I got better, and (more heart-felt) information from the internet. The doctor did not seem to be listening to me,I was having a severe allergic reaction for reasons unknown,hives all over,They did not send my steroid script to the pharmacy,i spent an agonizing night awake trying not to scratch myself to pieces,I called when they opened the next day and they were dismissive and put me on hold and hung up on me.then they called back and just said its not their fault.I need to get checked twice a year for skin cancer and will not be using them again. read more

I went to see Dr. Suzanne B. Schoelch, MD, (a dermatologist) and she was competent and there. But that's about the only thing good I can say about the practice and Dr. Schoelch's bed side approach. The practice was a depressing, frumpy, in-flexible and slow (I had to wait a while - this is usually the MD's fault). It seemed like all of the clients were above the age of 75, it was a very frumpy practice. More specifically the practice looked and seemed sad on so many levels. It didn't seem like a place that contemporary anything was being considered. The staff didn't seem especially informed, invested in their jobs and/or caring. For instance she gave me a brief lecture on a topic that I didn't come in for. She seem to have a very old sensibility. With the office's and dermatologist's ethos I sort of understand the employees lack of "love" for their jobs. I go to a dermatologist about every 6 months -- and will not be going back to this place. I picked this provider at random and got burned. I truly believe one star (1/5) is being generous. And I would have benefited prior to my appointment from this review. read more

My husband had Mohs surgery in Orange County, CA a week prior to skiing in Big Sky Mountain resort. He called me concerned that his skin graft was bleeding slightly on his ear. So I called around and found Montana Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center. I was WORRIED and Lisa P. was very helpful and talked with the Moh's doctor there.. then called me back with an appointment that day. She was beyond helpful and caring! Bad news my stubborn husband wanted to continue skiing and declined the appointment. I had an appointment here yesterday to check some red spots on my skin I was concerned about. I saw Julie Henningsen and I was VERY happy!! Julie took the time to address all my concerns, options for treatment etc. I never felt rushed or just another number. I have seen several dermatologists in my time due to skin cancer and other issues in my past, and was never very happy with the service. Either I was given a hard sell on their products, or the service provider would rush through the exam and not take time to really talk to me. This was absolutely not the case with Julie. The front office and rooms are beautiful and well appointed. All the staff members are friendly, efficient and welcoming. My entire experience from my first call to make an appointment to after my appointment was outstanding. read more

No reason to wait until it's full-blown cancer! Make your appointment today and return annually to the Montana Skin Cancer Center. With a minor sting, the liquid nitrogen will freeze away pre-cancerous lesions quickly and easily. The doctors and PAs all are efficient and capable. I've had appts with several ... the latest being PA Julie Henningsen. She removed troublesome spots. No more troubles. I'll return annually. You should make a point to do so, also. I've had great experiences with Montana Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center. This practice was recently acquired by Dr. Bruce. I have been very pleased with his level of expertise, professionalism and punctuality. He is highly educated and I like his proactive approach to my skincare needs. I am a regular patient, having had a form of skin cancer and feel very confident with the care I receive. The staff is also very helpful and professional. When I first came to Montana Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center I had acne that was so bad I refused to leave the house unless necessary. I came in with tears and they found me an appointment the next day. Julie Henningsen came up with multiple paths we could take to help my acne and helped me pick the right one. After 6 months of treatment my skin is beautiful and I have so much confidence now. If I ever have problems they make me an appointment as soon as possible. I am forever grateful for them. read more

As a child of a time before sunblock or even a real awareness of the danger the sun poses (perhaps I just didn't listen LOL) I have seen more than my share of dermatologists and sadly I feel qualified to compare more than just a few. While certainly no where near 75, possibly I'm one of the "frumpy" ones mentioned in the above post that absolutely baffles me in the complete difference of experiences???? With those things in mind I have to say that Dr. Bruce and his entire staff at "Montana Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center" are as as good as it gets! I went to see Dr. Bruce for a second opinion on a biopsy diagnosed pre-malignant that was on my lip. Dr. Bruce started to look at my lip and then like radar he focused on a small spot I'd had for some time on my nose and asked "What's that?". As it turned out it was a malignancy and fortunately he spotted it early. After the biopsy returned, his outstanding staff was able to squeeze me in quickly for a "Mohs Surgery" that was seriously needed. I truly appreciate the warm, caring concern as well as the professionalism and talent shown by all during the course of my treatment. Without going into great detail I will say that Dr. Bruce's skill in the Mohs process did a fantastic job during the course of a 4+ hour surgery. I was quite surprised that as early as the surgery was scheduled for and as busy as Dr. Bruce's day must have been, he still found time to personally call me that night after 8:15PM and ask me how I was doing. Truly pleased with the final outcome! The facility is modern, clean and attractive (I particularly liked the waterfall in the waiting room, very calming). From office personnel to nurses, all were obviously concerned with my well being. I have a tendency toward wisecracks and we had a lotta laughs at the appropriate times. Good folks! Dr. Bruce is now my new Dr. and I would recommend him and his place of business to anyone I know including family. read more

She was very easy to talk to and explained everything in detail. I would definitely recommend her. The entire staff, from check-in, to nurse to payment desk....everyone was very nice. I had to take my 16 year old son in to see a dermatologist, he had some moles on his face that were bothering him when he shaved. We went into Montana Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center to see Dr. Bruce. I have to say I was very impressed with the staff, and the whole encounter while we were there. The ladies at the front were very helpful, they checked us in without a hitch, and we waited for our turn to visit the Dr. ( this was only 10 minutes, and we were early too.) The MA that took us to the back was great. She could tell that my son was nervous and set the tone for a more relaxed visit, joking and asking my son what he liked to do. Dr. Bruce was wonderful. He came in and looked at the moles and talked with my son about the options that were available and asked my son what he thought. After a few minute of discussion, it was decided that he would have a procedure done right then and there and in less than 15 minutes my son was stitched up around a talkative and calm Dr. and MA. this I think put my son more at ease. My son did have a bit of severe nervousness and shook a lot, was light headed and was not too steady. I was a little concerned, but within a few moments the medical staff had come in got him some juice, and a granola bar, and Dr. Bruce stepped in and said, "Relax this is normal for teenage boys, give him a few minutes and he'll he fine ok?" I was so relieved. Sure enough with in 10 minutes my son was doing much better, and we checked out. Every person we encountered was very nice, smiling and helpful and supporting. I had to walk my son out to the car and without hesitation there were helping hands, and smiling faces to make it easier for us. I am ready to take my whole family and friends to this office I am sure that after meeting part of the staff, for now, the rest of the staff must be just as good! read more

I rarely, if ever write reviews but felt warranted in this case. It's very impersonal and they are trying to be all digital. I felt like the iPad was getting more attention than the patient and there was even a second PA who spent the entire time on her iPad during the visit, typing something. The prescription was "sent" to the pharmacy while I was in the room but when I went to pick it up an hour later it hadn't been received yet. The doctor and the PA forgot to say goodbye, or tell me that I could leave the room because they were too distracted by their iPads. The payment is done by holding your credit card until the insurance goes through, so you have no idea how much you will be charged or even to have a chance to reconcile the bill before it's paid. The various agreements including the credit card are done by signing a makeshift tablet that has your signature spot marked off with dirty surgical tape. For all the iPad typing there was miscommunication between the doctor and the front desk. One of the most awkward impersonal visits I have ever had to a medical office. They do have a nice fountain in the front waiting area. read more
