This place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood! This was my first time getting a facial back in July and I decided to go with the hydra facial. EJ was very calming and explained the process . My skin was glowing and baby soft after the treatment and I decided to buy the package. I did have a slight skin reaction 2-3 days after the facial (most likely wasn't caused by the facial, but a combination of several factors) but Jamie and her team were very accommodating in helping to find a solution, and they provided a cream that helped. After the second visit, I didn't have any reaction and my skin feels brighter and healthier. I also haven't had any pimples post treatments. I did try the vbeam once and it did slightly reduce the overall redness. Overall, I definitely recommend the hydra facial and Jamie and her staff are wonderful and highly knowledgeable. read more

For more than ten years I have had dark age spots on my cheekbones and around my eyes. I have tried many different treatments and primarily had to use bright skin care products. However, last Saturday I was treated by Hollywood Spectra and there has been a wonderful change. My age spots have become whiter and my skin tone itself has become brighter. What's more, during the treatment itself I felt no pain and there was only some skin reddening for a little under an hour. This is the best skin care clinic that I've visit. I had suffered acne and acne scars for several years, and it's getting so much better after couple months visit of this place. The most important thing makes me visit here even though I live in Philadelphia is that, staffs are extremely knowledgeable. I had my consultation with Jamie for every single visit, who took look at my problematic skin and was able to walk me through the why as well as a treatment plan to remedy the root of the problem. EJ is the person who taking care of my procedures. She is the best! She explained everything she was doing during my facial, and always gives me enough advices for the home care. I am giving this place 1 star because the lady who performed the facial seemed rush doing my facial. She would put one set of treatment on me and then run to attend the next client in the next room. She performed NO extractions. Her reasoning being that it would be impossible for her to open each pore. It really felt like they over booked or did not have enough employees to perform the facials and there was literally only one person performing all the facials for each individual. I paid 160$ for the hydrofacial with a peel. I do not think it was worth it. The service is not what i expected like what the other reviewers made it seem like it would be. read more

I've been coming here for almost a year. It is such a treat to be pampered here by EJ. She tailors every appointment to what my skin needs at that moment and plans out for me how to continually improve so that my skin will be at its best. EJ is very knowledgeable and explains what each step does for my skin. She puts that youthful glow back into my face, and I feel and look 10 years younger. My favorite treatment is the Hydrafacial. It sucks out the dirt and sebaceous plugs as it hydrates the skin. I feel like my skin plumps up and it looks brighter and lighter. The first time I had it done, EJ showed me how much gunk was pulled out. I was so amazed and slightly aghast, even though my skin looked clean the Hydrafacial was able to give it a deep clean very painlessly. It feels like a stream of cool fluid and a light suction at the same time. I wish I could do this every week. EJ and Jamie also recommended a custom laser treatment a couple of times to target certain problems my skin was having like uneven skin tone and acne. It made a huge difference. The bumpiness I had with blackheads is gone and my skin has never looked better. I'm on my way to having flawless skin and looking years younger. I only wish I discovered them earlier. read more

I've been going to NY Skin Solutions for a few years now, and I went back last week since they reopened. I felt so safe and not a single worry or doubt when through my mind about the cleanliness or sanitation of the office. The staff was so friendly as always and made sure that I felt comfortable and at ease. They are following all CDC guidelines and I'm so glad that my favorite med spa has re opened. I left with my face feeling so fresh and clean and after a week, my skin has improved so much and is the best it has been since quarantine started. Let me first point out the name of the business - New York Skin Solutions. That is exactly what they provided for me - solutions!!! I've been to other spas and skin treatment places, and only left with mediocre facials done by mediocre professionals. No change, no improvement. However, the moment I stepped into this clinic, I KNEW I was about to experience something life changing. The ambiance of the place was so high-class and panache, without the pretentious upper east/west side, I-only-go-to-places-in-manhattan-and-pay-premium-prices-while-receiving-subpar-treatment feel. The owner was so wonderful and provided such an in-depth consultation. She took so much time and care evaluating and assessing my skin and possible options. I had the pleasure of being treated by EJ. She had a WEALTH of knowledge and was so amicable. Without even getting close to my face, she knew in 0.001 seconds what my problem areas were. I got the hydrafacial. She explained every step of the process and its function. I appreciated that so much. I even fell in a deep slumber because it was so relaxing. I didn't want my facial to be over!!! The reason why I gave 1 star was because I feel not comfortable about the reaction that owner Jamie show me on her face. She is so realistic and unprofessional. At beginning she look so friendly but when she realized you are only consulting and not spending much or intend want to buy the course she suggest.., then she will give you an attitude like when you ask a question, she answer it in very unpleasant way and her eyes wasn't look at you , just text her message on her phone. It make me feel what's going on you, you can't force people to buy or even just getting a one trial course. My friend told me he went for one time for trying out the HydroFacial, but then my friend found they are not trustable as the HydroFacial technician do on his face was just '1,2,3' it was less then 10min, then do extraction and some simple facial step that's it! This is not call HydroFacial it's call basic facial, not worth for $100!!!. Jamie, you must know In Queens not only your place perform those services there's a bunch of more professional place with license Physician Assistant and technician with a very good deal and professional attitude, friendly and have heart to their clients. I am so happy i found New York Skin Solutions. I've had hydrafacials in 2 other places in Manhattan and i have found this place offers the best service and value for money. Firstly the space is clean and organised. You are warmly greeted by either a member of the team or Jamie the manager on arrival. I noted (I'm an RN and obsessive about cross infection)that the Hydrafacial MD machine was on the clean cycle setting prior to my service. This needs to happen between clients and I also noted they used a fresh" tip" for my facial. The hydrapeel tips are for single use only and nobody wants a skin infection issue after a facial! The team are attentive and seem competent and experienced. Extractions are never fun but they were gentle yet thorough. Another spa I went to in Manhattan for a hydrafacial MD service wanted to charge extra for extractions and the use of steam at the begining of the treatment....REALLY!! At NYSS this is included in your hydrafacial MD service (as it should be). Jamie is keen to ensure that you are happy with the service and your experience. She will explain what services are available at the spa and the products they use, but there is no hard sell and i did not feel like i was being pushed to purchase anything extra. In saying that I did purchase a 3 pack of hydrafacials and am so happy that I did. I've had 3 hydrafacials here so far and am happy with the results. This will be my go to place for future hydrafacials treatments and I am very tempted to try some of the other services on offer. read more

I cannot rave about this place enough! I am just leaving after my second hydrafacial and I am absolutely amazed by the personnel's customer treatment, the quality of the services, and the results. After the first treatment I noticed my face was glowing but I wasn't sure if the results were gonna go beyond a post-facial glow. I was blown away because after that treatment, my skincare products were more effective than ever before. After how much my skin has improved by this second treatment, i am convinced the monthly purge and treatment is essential. I drive an hour from the location because of the great work that they do. Went yesterday for my facial with a gift certificate my friend got me. Oh boy it was such a treat! This place is a facial treatment office rather than a facial place. They focus on skin problems and treat. I loved how clean the place was, and my esthetician EJ used very clean technique when doing the steps. Ive gone to several different places and this one is the cleanest by far. EJ was very professional and explained every step to me because it was my first time doing a hydrafacial. It really helped that she is bilingual. She gave a lot of good advice on how to manage my skin at home and everything she said made a lot of sense. I could tell she genuinely wanted my skin to maintain well and didn't push any products on me. The extractions were done after the treatment which is a new thing for me because in other places they extract then do the treatment. However this technique suites my acne prone skin much better as it becomes less painful, faster, and easier on my skin. The facial was then followed by a light relaxing facial and neck massage. By then all that good serum and treatment was well absorbed into my skin. Also, they showed me all the products they use and they only use high quality products that are suited for sensitive skin. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially those who have skin problems like acne. New York Skin Solutions is the BEST place where you can treat your skin to the finest and quality treatments along with exceptional customer service. I started going there 9 months ago with severe cystic acne, scars, dark spots and loss of elasticity. I have had hydra facials, Vbeam, Emetrix, Laser hair removal, PRP and Ultherapy treatments. My acne, scars and dark spots have disappeared and my skin is firmer and brighter. I highly recommend Ultherapy for anti aging. Its known to be a procedure with some discomfort but they do such a good job with prepping and numbing the skin first that you barely feel anything. I love Ultherapy and I recommend it for anyone who is looking to prevent and reverse the signs of aging. All of the estheticians are good and the first to work on me was EJ. I was so happy with her that I stayed with her. EJ provides the best treatments and customer service I have ever had in my life.
