I started at Skin Med Spa as a 43yr old female who's been working on bettering my skin. I wanted to refresh my face & get ride of some Sebaceous hyperplasia. 3 sessions of The cool laser treatment was recommended, it was more $$ then I was planning to spend but I've always wanted to do laser resurfacing. I've tried other treatments before but nothing this intense. I started in Oct & finished in Dec. & I have no regrets. My skin is softer, tighter, cleaner & my sebeceous issue has cleared up for the most part. I don't have to wear makeup. My skin is clear, Clean & fresh. Downtime was minimal. Just hours after the procedure. I was generally fine the next days. Im excited to see how the skin keeps improving over next couple months. Would I do it again-yes! I'm happy I found this spa & will be going back for additional treatments. The practitioners are confident & kind & it's a laid back environment. Update: (late June '23) I've done 3 more treatments with the Skin Med spa team this year; Botox, RF microneedle (3 sessions) & PDO threads. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my skin. But that's not the reason I had these "enhancements ", I now look in the mirror & see the youthful face looking back at me. It's like I've taken 10yrs off my face!! Sooo happy with the results . Update: 2024 began trizepetide treatments & lost 40lbs. UPDATE 2026: age 46,skin medspa continues to maintain my beauty with bio repeels & Italian peels from Noelle as well as Botox , ezgel & fillers by Barb & Michael. The best in the business by far. I will never go back here again. While I was actually pretty pleased with how smooth my forehead looked after the Jeuveau, I'm still completely traumatized by the look of my eyes now. I specifically mentioned before the injections that I was super concerned about eyelid droop and would honestly rather have a few wrinkles than deal with that. Well, sure enough, after just a few days, my eyelids started feeling incredibly heavy, and there was just no way of lifting them up (since the muscles are paralyzed). One eye ended up being worse than the other, which just made me look so lopsided and weird. Worse than that, I just felt like I looked like an idiot. I should also mention that I had 2 bruises near my eyes where I got the injections. This has never happened to me before with Dysport, etc. So, at my 2-week follow-up appointment, I expressed how unhappy I was. She told me it's a 'give and take,' like you have to give up one thing for another. She injected me with some more, but honestly, nothing changed. I still have these droopy, hooded eyes, and it's been a month. And I paid $450 for this. I'm definitely going back to the good people at Metamorphosis in DG. Do yourselves a favor and do not go here. read more

Barb & Mike are great!! And the front desk staff also has been friendly. I have had a handful of treatments at their office. And when am nervous or scared they have numbed me up good (lol) and talk me through it and always are so comforting. Am over 40 so I officially now need maintenance haha. I read some reviews and decided to try this new "Medical Spa " in DG , within walking distance from my house so thought I'd give it a try ! Impressive when I walked in , very clean and welcoming. I got some sun spots removed from a gal I read a review about "Barb" thought she was very knowledgeable , kind and not pushy! Appreciated ! The prices are VERY reasonable. The worst experience and results! - NEGATIVE ZERO RATING I specifically told the nurse what my issue was and what I wanted to accomplish. She did not listen and proceeded to give me a 'lip flip' and kept insisting that would be the same as filling in the vertical line above my lip. Now, after two days of the botox lip flip, I can barely drink or eat. I made it very clear to the nurse that I am sensitive and in my case, less is more. Again, she did not listen and proceeded to inject me the same as any other person going for a lip flip, not what I wanted! I will NEVER go to Skin Med Spa again and would never recommend skin med spa in Downers Grove to anyone. You simply didn't listen to me at all and now I am physically unable to eat or drink without struggling. read more

I was really interested in the Oygeneo super facial that was featured on The Bachelor. I thought I would treat myself before my birthday party and go to the spa to get it done. And this spa was the only one in the area that did it and they did not disappoint! Barb was so professional and kind it was like getting a facial with a good friend! My skin is still glowing and bright from the treatment a week ago! I would HIGHLY recommend this spa!! They have a whole list of treatments like fillers and Botox and I can't wait to go again. Visited this location for the first time and was extremely pleased with the service. I was nervous because I never received fillers before. Since my smile lines were making me feel so insecure, I became interested in fillers. Barbara and Michael have the best personalities. They have a way of making one feel at ease. I've been going to Barb for years, she's the best! She has been doint my fillers, Botox and recently jeuveau. My favorite is the lip flip with and/or without filler. Recently had a small amount of filler injected into my cheeks and am in love with the results! My main concern has always been looking like I've had too much done so I like that she listens to what you want. I am extremely satisfied with the natural and youthful appearance she has always been able to deliver for me- prevention at it's finest!
