There were other recommendations and now I genuinely wish I had contacted someone else first. I asked my previous hair dresser what I should specifically tell a new stylist and I gave that information to Kerry. She colored my hair too dark, cut my hair far too short, didn't add any layering, and only trimmed half of my bangs. When I asked if what my previous stylist said made sense, she smirked as if it were a ridiculous question and said yes, she'd been doing this for a while. Well my hair is not anything like I asked, so the smug response is drastically out of place. She booked two clients in between putting my color on and then washing and cutting my hair. I was sitting there for about an hour with color on just waiting and while I absolutely understand the necessity of staggering bookings, my time is valuable and that clearly didn't matter to her. And to top it all off, while coloring my hair the wrong color, she got hair coloring on my $200 new leather purse and when I brought it to her attention she said, "how'd that happen?!" I contacted the manufacturer of the bag and they said unfortunately there's no way to get it out. I let Kerry know and asked her to make it right and she said it is not her responsibility. So I've now essentially paid $300 for a color and cut that is nothing like what I asked for. Needless to say, I will not be returning. PSA- if you do go here, don't take anything nice into the salon!

When I asked about adding a hint of purple as well as blonde she said she didn't do purple but then said she could add a hue to the red color. I didn't know nor did she say it would look darker! I mentioned that and even text her after several people said they couldn't see that I did anything to my hair other than it looked darker! When I asked if she could fix it she wanted to charge me again instead of trying to fix the problem and make the customer happy!

This location is by far my favorite! All of the staff members are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Carol, the owner, takes the time to know your face and name, and is one of the most outgoing and upbeat people I've ever met. Lindsey has always done a great job with my very thick, very curly hair, and pays great attention to every little detail. I've never left unsatisfied! The staff is always trained and up-to-date on all the latest trends and they use great high quality products. I've also been to Beth Hilgers when I needed to get in and Lindsey was booked up or unavailable. She is unbelievable with color! On top of all the usual hair services, they also offer tanning, nails, face/body waxing, facials, and massages, to name a few. The most convenient thing is they have online booking on their website! You can schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments completely online, without ever needing to call the salon. Their prices are pretty competitive, and I'm very happy to continue driving 45 minutes to get my hair done!
