I was visiting a friend and asked her about hers. She said I have to get mine done, come with me. We arrived at Rio nails rather late with her 2 daughters in tow plus the baby. I asked for artificial nails and she sat me down and proceeded to work. There was a rather large gap between what she added and my cuticle. She claimed she could not go closer. I have had my nails done since the 80's. I have never had an issue like this. The woman had a huge attitude also. As I suspected, she deliberately shorted the nails so I would return sooner. In the many years I have had my nails done, I have had them last 6 weeks, usually 8 before a redo. My nails just do not grow. Here it is 3 weeks, and these are lifting. No, not on your life would I ever return to this place. 1. attitude. The woman was outright rude to me, ordering that I control the kids. They are not my kids 2. refusing to do an adequate job, Arrogant attitude when I asked about what she was doing. and 3. Price! $76!!! I am furious. I feel cheated. And yes, I am going anywhere else but here!

She missed a lot of the steps through the pedi process, she didn't file my nails only cut them and VERY SHORT and uneven, she didn't file the bottom of my feet or use the purple rock thing that they use. Then when she painted my nails, she left so many specs of polish everywhere at the end I had to ask for the brush myself with little bit of remover and I cleaned them up myself. I come in and there was a 2 hour wait for a gel manicure.... with plenty of empty chairs and nobody waiting besides me and another lady, they should make sure they have enough workers. Specially on a Saturday afternoon. I've been trying different places for the past two years and I just wasn't impressed with the quality of work. I'm glad that I turned to the guidance of my fellow yelpers! They steered me in the right direction! I was a bit leary of the 5 STAR review at first. It's very rare that a place with such amazing reviews actually lives up to it's high rating! I called in the morning and was delighted to be able to get an appointment for this afternoon! I went in for a regular pedi and a gel french tip mani with a design. Trisha was the lovely nail tech that provided my services. Wow! I don't say this very often but I was more than impressed with her work! Not only was she very skilled and talented with her work, she was also very friendly and a pleasure to be around. I can happily say that I have finally found my new nail place!
