They ran a $100 diagnostic on it which they insisted was necessary to determine anything about my car. When the diagnostic didn't show anything wrong with the car, they scratched their heads, reset the computer and told me to drive it around for a while before I got another emissions test. Well, the check engine light came on, so I took it to a mechanic I trusted. I had used Alpha & Omega before and they did good work on my radiator for an honest price and in efficient time. This time they searched the emissions test failure code on the internet, took a five minute look over the car and told me my TPS sensor was malfunctioning. The part only cost $95, so it was less than the diagnostic from the other guys! The part was immediately ordered and my car was back on the road in about three hours!

He does not do the work quickly, he takes the time and does it right. He got my truck and spent a week researching any recalls before starting work, to make sure I didn't have to pay for a repair before starting. I had a rebuilt trans shipped to Neese Transmission, and during the install, the valve body was bad from the new transmission I bought, He let me know and was fair in the install price. The amount for the repair was a little more than his estimate, but it was a 4 wheel drive pickup install, so this was more complicated than most transmissions. He went way beyond to explain it all to me. I am a "big picture person" not too detail oriented. My way of thinking is: "Can you (the mechanic) fix it and for how much?" Marc took the time to explain it all to me and supplied me with an easy to understand explanation of charges. Many mechanics that I have used, just "throw parts at it" until one part corrects the problem. They then CHARGE me for things that I did not need. Marc did it the professional way: He analyzed the problem, developed a plan of action and solved the problem. Hmm, we need him in Washington! He even repaired the 76 year old original gauges to working order. Wow! Inside of Marc's garage are many old cars, so if the reader of this review has an older car, Marc and his staff are all you need!

Same employee took me in and told me I would have to pay a $125 diagnostic fee for my transmission issue. It would be removed from the repairs if they did them later. Sounds fair. I then asked her for a quote for a scenario with my car....."How much would you charge me to remove a faulty transmission and install a remanufactured one". She said she could not possibly answer this. Took my car to two other shops and left with a quote immediately. Why would I invest $125 if I didn't know what their charge was for a transmission replacement, which I'm pretty sure I need. The young service lady also claimed that I was condescending and disrespectful. She is the last employee I would want to represent my business.
