This skating rink had the weirdest vibe. They were playing Christmas music... but not like Mariah. Old-timey & Christian stuff. It WAS December, but still. No pop music. No DJ/announcer at all. Occasionally someone would pipe up over the loud speaker asking people not to congregate on the floor & keep moving. It's a little tough to skate to "Mary Did You Know?" Seems like a mostly rollerblades kinda place, so the few pairs of rental skates we got were a little rough around the edges - needed fresh bearings. Pretty much everyone was in rollerblades. Lots of teens operating the place; not giving a particularly welcome feeling. Skate floor is even and wide; that was a plus! Probably wouldn't go again. read more

This is a retro 80s style rollerskating rink with modern rap music playing. The laser tag is in the center and the smallest I've seen but hey, it makes it easier to score! The rink is clean and smooth, the staff was not super friendly but they're teenage boys soo...that's that. The customers were mostly tweens and teens on the younger side with grandparents watching. I wouldn't come here during $1 night due to the customers we saw arriving, they looked like barfight types - no thanks. We will definitely go again during the daytime and check out the adults only events in hopes of avoiding potential problems with other patrons. Thanks for a great afternoon skating! read more

A relatively cheap way for kids to have fun, so all in all ok. We asked if they had a locker for belongings when we came in, they told us no but then we saw they did have some in the corner. What grossed me out was how nasty the rental skates smelled awful. They do not spray sanitizer on them which is disgusting. read more

Came here with my kids on a Friday night to enjoy the start of our weekend, I don't know how long it's been since I've last been here but they don't have the walkers anymore to help the kids skate which was unfortunate because how else will they learn. It was very helpful to have. Also, wasn't aware of the young school crowd making out , cursing , carrying on, basically having public sex inside the dining area. I have kids here that's seeing it. It was even ran by teenagers it seemed like. No one stuck out to me as management and it was just not what I expected. I felt I was in a middle school lunch period. The girl at the snack bar seemed upset and just wasn't welcoming at all. She kept rolling her eyes and had an attitude. I definitely won't be back here anytime soon! read more

I have such good memories of going to Skate Estate as a little girl in the 90s. Based on the photos online, it looks like this place hasn't changed much (neon decor, arcade games, tickets for small prizes and candy and delicious pizza for bday parties!). It's good, wholesome fun, and some of the best memories of my childhood took place here. I was also thrilled to see the place has expanded a bit because I don't remember the water slide or the lazer tag there in the 90s. FWIW, I think the complaints lodged here are pretty negative, and I think parents should think about whether or not their kids had fun before they post their review. On a positive note, it's great like family owned businesses in the Southern Tier are thriving! read more

Skate Estate is comprised of a mini-golf area, indoor skating ring, water slide, and arcade games. I visited this place twice with my husband and in-laws and had a pretty good time; we did not try out the water slide. I tried out the mini-golf with my husband and his sister and we found the activity as a hole to be quite fun. The course itself wasn't very high-tech or new, but it was still enjoyable. The clubs and balls were in good condition, but the same couldn't be said of the course. There were rocks, wood chips, leaves and bugs everywhere, and it was difficult to get a decent shot in without something getting in the way. We still had a great time and it was very inexpensive. The indoor skating ring is a great place where the kids from the suburbs can escape the heat and get a little exercise. The age range of the kids skating was between 7 and 15, so we didn't end up trying the ring. But the kids seemed like they were having a great time. The skating area is glow in the dark and had Top 40 music playing. They also had walkers available for those who couldn't skate very well, which really helped some of the younger skaters. The arcade games seemed outdated, but my family thought that the Feeding Bertha game (throw balls into a fat lady's mouth) and the air hockey to be fun. The tickets that can be won from playing the games can be traded in for candy and small toys. All in all, I thought Skate Estate was pretty interesting. Although it mainly appeals to a younger crowd, I thought that the mini-golf was pretty fun. Considering that the location as a whole is pretty inexpensive, it's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and have children. read more

So, in planning a get together for a bunch of 8th graders to come skate, I called and asked if we can cater food in seeing the food here is not our first choice. After discussing with the manager, he would rather turn away business then to allow food to be catered in. I understand they want us to buy their food but that is not the type of food the group wants and frankly the not the quality of food we want either. Will not be going. read more

I love bringing my boys here! It is good family fun with a wonderful staff. I would highly recommend bringing your family here. It isn't the state of art entertainment. It is good clean wholesome fun. Get your kids away from the TV and bring them here for some active fun! read more

Skate Estate - Mini Golf Near Me - Vestal, New York

This place is pretty interesting. It's got a great skating arena, a decent selection of carnival games, and a nice mini-golf area. I did find the place to be a bit dirty, especially the mini-golf area. There were a lot of weeds, the course itself was quite dusty with lots of wood chips. It made it a little annoying to play. I like that the prices were quite cheap. At the end of the day, it's a good place spend some time. read more

Skate Estate is a fun spot to kill time on a weekend. I was only here once on a Saturday in the winter so no water slide or mini golf for us! We also got there too late to play laser tag but from overhearing the kids, it sounds like it was a lot of fun! The skating rink is a decent size. They played a variety of music - from Top 40 hits to '00's pop songs and older hits. The place was clean and the food was reasonably priced. I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the lack of supervision in the rink. It's not the responsibility of workers to watch everyone's children, but skating isn't the safest activity out there. There were only 5 staff members on duty when I was there. One was at the register next to the entrance. Three were at the concession stand/helping out with the birthday parties and announcements. And the last was at laser tag which is in a different section. Not one person was watching the rink like other rinks I've been to. This doesn't sound like an issue but it is. Having a staff member supervise the rink can avoid issues/injuries. One teenage girl crashed into me. I originally thought I cut her off and I apologized but she ignored me and zipped right past me and was staring at her cell phone. While skating. She was using Snapchat while roller skating and ran into me. If I was a smaller person (or one of the many kids), she could have easily knocked me over. A little while later, a small child (maybe 18 months-2 years old) was running around the rink with a few older children (ranging from 6-10 maybe) skating around chasing him, picking him up while skating, and dragging him around the rink. People are zipping by and dodging the small child. The parents knew the child was out on the rink because they glanced at him every 15 minutes and would laugh. After about an hour, the older children managed to get the boy off of the rink. Ridiculous. This isn't the fault of Skate Estate, however, there should be someone out there to make sure incidents like these don't happen and so everyone is safe. Despite that, I would come back to this location and try some of their other activites! read more

Pretty cool place. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday but the blacklight kept leaving splotches all around her mouth and on her hands! Either way kissing her on the skate rink was very romantic and the kids really enjoyed being there too. read more

My sister and best friend went to Skate Estate this evening,11/19/16. Spent well over $150.00 for 7 children. Unfortunately, there was a group of teenage girls that harassed one of our teenage girls. When this was reported to staff, (young man with sandy brown hair), he assured us that this was addressed and the said girls were being asked to leave. Despite numerous attempts to communicate with staff..... Nothing was resolved and my friends daughter was continuously harassed. Staff laughed in our faces and ignored our requests. This place needs a serious overhaul!!! Children/teenagers are dropped off to mind for themselves without any parental supervision. I am appalled that such a long standing establishment allows such behavior from their customers and staff. They have received the last of any money that I, my family or friends will spend there!!!! Think twice before planning a trip with your children to this hell hole!! read more
