We didn't even know we were there until we were leaving... the sign faces the park and not the road! The sign facing the road says something about a community center. There is a decrepit looking mini-golf out front, there is a decrepit gokart track out back... The one shining spot in this dreary wasteland is the driving range. It has a fantastic range. There are several astroturf pads on a berm at one end of the range. Each pad has a rubber tee that can be moved about for your preference. Off to the side of this berm is another that is just grass for that extra fairway practice. I didn't see if they had a practice green anywhere but I didn't really look. The range itself is very straight and well marked. Distance markers are very visible and color-coded flags also help. the range is kept well mowed so you can see where you land. The road runs along the side of the driving range so the odd slice is kinda scary, but it doesn't seem like you can hit the road unless you really try (I did... it was in the name of science!). Its $7 bucks for a big basket and $4 for a small.

We were taking pictures at 4pm outside but first we went inside to register our etc. Come after the outdoor vows part we went back inside to cool off but there wasnt any cooling off. No ac was working although the waitresses said well its hot outside it takes time to get it cool. If I was the business owner and knew people were coming as early as 4pm I would have started that up at noon or earlier. By dinner time people were very hot complaining where is the AC??we suffered in heat for 4 hours. Well.. it wasn't working. We as guests knew this at 4pm. People came from out of town and the elderly as well for this wedding. Who wants to dance in heat and have a stroke. The waitresses said they had no stand up fans like one would think in a catering business just in case for this very reason. it's nice to have stand up fans as they have bands weddings and in case this should happen. They did not have any such thing. wow. I mean their in business. People did leave early and no one wanted to dance but those who did dint do it for long.Towards the end the ac was fixed but a little to late after the fact people left and was discouraged to have a good time. Wear sturdy shoes since some sections can be rocky or slippery near the water. Whether you're hiking for exercise, taking photos, or just looking for a quiet place to relax, Stair Park is a great local escape.
