A far closer ophthalmologist refused. I knew there were liability concerns, but luckily I'm very charming and got through. I had an emergency and had to see someone about a possible detaching retina. The technicians photographed both my retinae and Dr B, having analyzed the images and assessed my description of my symptoms, came to a conclusion that put me at ease. I'm not just giving a good score because I received good news-- that would be irresponsible. Two weeks later, my eyesight is fine: he was clearly right. I suffered from a separate problem a few days later: conjunctivitis, aka pinkeye. And, because I have a history of including some complaints along with praise, my yelp reviews can come off as passive aggressive (and maybe sometimes they are?) I'm just being honest. I mention the bad along with the good. I want to state emphatically that I don't believe I contracted it from this office, because I watched them wipe down each and every machine before I used it. I think I got this from the airport. So why even mention the pinkeye? Only to say: If I were still in Florida, I would have returned to this same facility for guidance. One star off because my local ophthalmologist didn't receive a fax that was supposed to have come from Dr Bhullar's office, although that could be due to a technical glitch. We've been to 3 other specialists who say his steroid rx have caused the loss of his eyesight. This man is a danger to people. I am sickened by what he did. We asked multiple times about the steroids, and he said nothing but continued to prescribe them for a glaucoma attack. For 4 months this went on. We finally went to another doctor, then another the another who immediately said get off steroids. They have damaged your eyesight. If you go to this dr, know that he is in way over his head.

The phone number 941-412-0303 is not compatible with landline phones. Since December 21, 2024, I had been trying to get a hold of someone in this office. (I did realize I first tried to call on a Saturday so no one is in the office). However I showed up to this office in PERSON on Tuesday Dec 24th, and they were closed. I get it Dr. Richter is busy and works out of different offices, HOWEVER their phone service needs to improve. If you don't call from a SMARTPHONE they do not answer. FINALLY today I got a hold of MAC (or MACK) wanting to speak to Dr. Richter (and at first THEY did not know who that was) I was calling on behalf of a sensitive topic regarding my uncle, and she was so rude. Dr Richter may be a good doctor, however YOUR FRONT OFFICE STAFF REPRESENTS YOUR BUSINESS, and I was told DR. RICHTER would not take my call at all today. I just took my mother-in-law here for a second opinion and i am so glad we did. She was told by a…read moreretina specialist in Pennsylvania (where she lives) that she required major surgery with a face- down recovery of several weeks. She was diagnosed there with a Macular Hole. With the use of the latest technological advances, Dr. Dunne was able to diagnose her with a pseudohole and one that is not the more aggressive type. He advised close monitoring but stated that it may never require surgery at all. Additionally, the recovery period, should surgery ever become necessary, does not even require full face- down recovery and the protocol calls for several DAYS of caution and minor posturing. We are grateful beyond words!!! My mother- in-law was facing possibly months of physical therapy, pain, and lack of independence for a surgery she didn't need at all! From the friendly voice on the phone who fit her into the schedule on short notice, to Marcus who ran the tests and diagnostics, to the doctor himself, this office is fantastic!!
