This is probably the worst management company I've ever rented from. Customer service is unspeakable, even from the head broker Jason Clifford. Communication is terrible, they don't respond to emails or maintenance request in a timely manner. They're pretty quiet except when they dish out rental increases. I'm actually pretty surprised to read the other reviews, because I was very happy with SCJ. In fact, I was so happy, that when I am looking for a place to rent I check their website first! I rented a place in downtown Puyallup for over a year. -I got most of my deposit back (90%) -They were quick to fix any issue I had(they didn't always fix it super great, but they at least sent someone out same day). And that is including cleaning the washer/dryer, broken flusher, lockbox stuck on door. -They weren't all up in my business -They were flexible with things like painting and pets -They were really hassle free. I didn't have ONE issue with them...came and left in peace, which had never happened for us before. I liked them. I have rented from other 'management groups' and let me tell you, comparatively, SCJ was the best. Yes, the place isn't super clean when you move in (I DID find some random candy wrappers in cupboards), but I would rather do some cleaning when I move in then get most of my deposit taken when I move out for "cleaning" fee's. Which a LOT of rental companies do. So, truly, the only problems presented in the other reviews was 1. Places weren't clean 2. Contracts seem shady 3. They don't repair anything 1 is True, they aren't very clean. BUT I believe that is because they don't suck all your depo money for cleaning fee's when you move out. So it's a PRO for me. 2 they do seem shady, but their not. SJC wants you to stay in their place. If you are a good/decent tenant(aka you pay on time) they wont bother you. One star is too high. These people are liars and thieves. We were in a hurry as the closing on our house went quick. They said we could not move in right away because they had to clean it first. On move in day the house was still just as filthy. I had asked if they were going to fix wall damage and they did a sloppy job on very little of the damage. there were still hundreds of holes in the walls. The carpets were not cleaned and were stained, the whole house was disgusting and we hired a carpet cleaner to clean it before we moved in who also showed us how filthy the vents were so bad we paid for that to be cleaned as well and they replaced the furnace filter. I did the rest of the cleaning which included the light fixtures that were so caked with oily dust that they dimmed the light. I replaced burned out light bulbs also. Jason said as long as the place is in the same condition or better it was when we moved in we would get our deposit back. NOT TRUE!!! I cleaned it really good with a Rug Dr. scrubbed everything that could be cleaned including under the appliances which had baby toys and filth from the previous renters, washed the blinds, windows cupboards, EVERYTHING!!! Patched all the holes and wall damage (even from the previous renters). We had to pay for all the garbage and crap left by previous renters also. They still charged for cleaning and lots of other things like fire alarm inspections (that the lease says the landlord is responsible for) new filters, new drip pans (that I cleaned and there was nothing wrong with). They charged to replace the blinds that were noted as broken on our initial walk through, $25 to replace a lightbulb. NO lights were burned out when we moved out and I even left bulbs that I bought. I can go on and on. They kept $900 of our deposit. THEY IGNORED MY EMAILS AND CERTIFIED LETTERS The Landlord Tenant Act is a joke because they only require a walk through when you move in, not when you move out. You have to pay for and go to arbitration before you can go to small claims court. $30 for filing, $150 for the sheriff to serve, then you can go to small claims. More money!!! I live 2 hours away. I say run as fast as you can from these shady sheisters too, like everyone else says. I was a leasing agent for years for other companies and have never seen anything like this. Liars, cheats and thieves. And they know it! That's why they are sooo on the defensive and condescending anytime you need to discuss something, IF you ever do get ahold of Jason, who magically just left the office or isn't answering his phone right now EVERY time you call or go in, he's got a lie ready and waiting before you finish your sentence. This is how they operate. I can't even list all the many shady things they did, like making up charges on move out, to trying to charge for things that weren't even there to begin with. And no they don't read your move in checklist at all, because they charge you anyway for all the things you put down. Watch out for any late fees too, they call them rent later and keep charging you even if you pay them saying it wasn't rent...I know we didn't understand this either, it was somehow another scam for more money. At any rate long story short, I am taking them to small claims court, for all the bogus charges on move out, I don't even want the money, but they sent it to collections without even sending us a letter or anything, and now it's on my credit report. I just want it off. I know good luck with that but at least they will have to face me outing them in court. They probably won't even show up like usual! Oh and they even charged us $40 to send their own guy out with the notice to vacate like it was an eviction or something. I was never late on rent or had any major repair issues so I had a great experience renting from SJC. I loved the property and the only reason I moved is the owners were selling. Patrick has always been respectful and courteous when he would come to inspect the property and in the office if I saw him there and the same attitude pertains to any of the office staff I have interacted with. read more

This rental management company is a JOKE. Please do not use this company for your property rental management or renting a house, or any buying/selling. They are very unprofessional people to work with. I am sharing my experience so that people others can benefit, who are looking for property management service and avoid doing the mistake that I did by choosing SJC for my house rental management (I'd wasted so much time and energy dealing with such a horrible people and company) Sorry for the long review but need to tell the full story- Ok so someone referred this company and provided Jason Clifford contact, who's a manager at SJC management. I called Jason, he picked up my phone and explained the process and fees, he talked to me very gently and it was a good initial conversation (they always do to get the business). After the initial conversation, I decided to go with SJC Management to put my house on the market for rental. Jason had never visited the property and see the house, he never met with me face to face, anyway not a big deal. He scheduled one person named Patrick to go and take house pictures and collect paperwork (sent over email). Patrick came on time and captured some pictures and collected paperwork, no issue. I forgot to hand over the duplicate key, which Jason asked me to send via mail to PO address. I mailed the key to his office PO box address. Now the fun part began, my house was put on the market without discussing anything about property features, upgrades, and other details. My house was on the market with very limited descriptions of the house features, not all pictures uploaded and missing details about appliances and all, basic things to add in the listing. What I found is, the property description was full of his company fees, fees related to the rental packet, pet deposit, pet per month, etc.. these fees were NEVER discussed with me and It was not even in the contract I signed. Until now, no problem that's the company policy fine.. but the problem started when they were not providing any update on the interest and not picking calls and replying to the text. After my house was on the market for 2 weeks, Jason/SJC Management didn't get/schedule any single showing interest, really... kidding me. In this hot real estate market, he didn't get a single interest? Zillow was showing 39 people contacted for this property and not a single interest.. which's weird. I reached out to Jason, by the way, forgot to mention, Jason is very slow in replying via text or call, or many times no response...Somehow I managed to reach Jason to understand what's happening why there is no response from his company to people who are showing interest. No concrete answer from him. As I said earlier, he's very good in the initial conversation and after that, he doesn't care about you or your property. The answer I got was, my rent is high, that's why no showing interest. Jason and his company have a very limited knowledge of the market I would say..or they don't bother about doing research and suggest price to clients. So I decided NOT to work with this pathetic company and Jason. I asked them to cancel my contract and remove the listing from the market and send my house key and check (initial fee) back. I'd never received a house key, they are claiming that they sent it via mail (USPS) but received only an empty sealed envelope with no key inside. Envelop was properly sealed and I believe and 100% sure, they misplaced my key and claiming false. Request all who are reading my review, please never ever work with these people and SJC Management. So, I decided to go with another real estate agent and got 5 showing scheduled in next business day (after successful screening off course). Within 3 days of listing, we signed a lease agreement with a good applicant. Don't forget to mention the house rented for the same price. SJC Management has higher than average management skills, and many options available for owning/ leasing properties. Their office staff remind me of a family oriented company. Helping one another, with several tasks shared amongst all of them. They have a very low turnover rate, from my experience. It's been the same friendly faces, and positive attitudes for the three years plus, that I've been leasing from them. They respond immediately to property issues, and contact maintenance, or contractors with experience, rather than some cheap, unlicensed do-it-all, like other agencies I've had relations with. There are even issues handled that I've overlooked or wasn't concerned about, that they've taken care of, at no additional costs to me. read more

I'd give negative stars if i could. I rented a house from them for 3 yrs and they were the most rudest people i've ever met. They were rude to my wife while i was deployed, they gave us no mail box key and told us we had to replace it ourselves. During our move out we spent over a $1000 on professional cleaners to clean our house but during the inspection they said our house was still dirty. When we asked to see their receipts they refused to show us. They refused to replace our broken dishwasher and ended up charging us for it when we moved out. read more

First off, you guys are scammers. People ask you EXACT REQUIREMENTS AND THEIR EXACT QUESTIONS and you don't answer them correct or you give half answers and tell them to apply anyways. I could of saved ALMOST 200$ Before applying I asked Kiley if all of my personal situations were gonna be an issue between my pet sizes and my credit not being the highest (were young it isn't a perfect score we're getting established) I told her I didn't wanna apply until we knew we would qualify which she said we did to each question. And that I didn't want to apply my pets until we got approved ourselves. She said that's okay well then she said we had to spend the 40$ on the pet application so I'm assuming okay we must be in the clear . NOPE . I asked if they accepted dogs that I have two one big and one small and she said okay no problem yet our reason on denial was having a big dog. If that's something the owners don't want be CLEAR of that to your applicants of that ESPECIALLY when they ASK . Another reason of denial is delinquent accounts which was a medical bill which your receptionist clearly stated they didn't look at scores or medical bills just want to see your current on your credit accounts which we are . On another note the owner/manager of this company is absolutely rude and disrespectful. He did not care about anything and was happy to basically say we got scammed . & that even without our big dog we still wouldn't be excepted. He was a smart ass and very cocky about everything. I don't recommend this company to anyone who doesn't wanna be scammed out of money and time . And I'll be sure to leave my review on anything I can . This all could of been avoided with them being up front about the exact requirements. Jason called me to apologize but doesn't make it right at all. These people are criminals!!!!! They gave us a 30 day move out notice the day before Thanksgiving, making Christmas 2017 Hell. But then after we moved out(we spent over $4000.00 to move) they sent us a $5000.00 Bill for bogus charges. We had to get an attorney and only then did they drop it completely. I have had a great experience with SJC. We were not pressured into any property we we not interested in. We we finally found our new home, we did have issues with the toilet after moving in;however, we called SJC and the repair man showed up the same day to fix the issue. I hope if you are reading this, it's because you are considering renting a property from SJC and you aren't already working with them. The latter is true for me and boy do I wish I researched them before signing a lease. I, unlike others, didn't have an issue with them while living in the unit, but like many others they were unbelievable at move out. They kept about half of my security deposit and on their half assed checklist of why I wasn't getting it all back, about half of the things were on my move-in report. I emailed every single person and the general email address multiple times asking for an explanation, even attaching a copy of my signed move-in report and got no response. According to renters rights laws they are supposed to explain reasonings and prorate for expenses that were present upon possession of the unit, which I cited in the multiple emails I sent. Still no response. So basically, they will scam you out of your money, regardless of the condition of the property when you move in and when you move out. I am very curious if the owner of the unit I rented is aware of how sketchy the management company he pays each month is to the resident. If I had more free time, I'd for sure get an attorney and take them to civil court just out of principle. But I'm sure they are banking on people either or having the time or the resources to do so. The lack of any response or follow up to former residents asking valid questions about the laws of this state is horrific. Avoid this company at all costs! If you're already in a lease, regardless of how much your deposit was, just count on getting NONE of it back because this company wants to take as much of it as possible with no explanation or reduction for the condition of the unit when you moved in. RENTERS BEWARE! We were transferred from out of state and unable to walk the property before accepting keys, don't make this mistake! The carpets were absolutely FILTHY, and caused illness to me and my young children. We IMMEDIATELY contacted the office, and were extremely upset, sent emails, and they ignored us. We were forced to clean them ourselves, but stated in writing we wouldn't be doing it again when we moved out. After moving out and discussing before leaving again, they sent us a $1,000 "cleaning" bill including the carpets! We left the home spotless, and in better shape than when we arrived. When we moved in we also had to have an exterminator come because it was infested with bugs, and thankfully they did pay for that, but everything else was slow to respond or never fixed, including the fireplace which was a reason we chose the property. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! If you do, take pictures and put all correspondence in writing. We certainly won't be paying this $1,000 "cleaning" fee especially because we broke the lease before the one year mark and so they kept our $2,100 deposit. We did this because we were building a home and knew this was part of leaving before one year. It baffles me that they would send a bogus bill after keeping our deposit and their terrible service. very disappointing after moving in on the 17th the past month (September)2019, 3 days later the neighbors water heater broke woke up at 5 am to get my children ready for school just to find out the bottom floor was all flooded. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE. SJC is nothing but a group of scammers and crooks. They don't care who you are, they will screw you over, take your money, and disregard the Washington State Laws. I was initially very excited to move into the home that this company was renting and I didn't take much notice to the negative reviews, but I really wish I did. The house was filthy when we moved in even though they said it would be cleaned prior to move in. Several inches of dust on everything inside. Trash, broken glass, roofing material, a half rotted wooden door were all found outside in the yard. We called our property manager, Dan Hunt, he came to see the house and why we were upset about the condition it was in. He was initially very nice and as the minutes passed he became very short, rude and condescending, insulting the homeowner, mocking her accent and in the end basically told us we had to deal with it. It took us nearly three days to clean the place before we could even move in. There were a lot of discrepancies within the house once we were moved in, such as the dishwasher not being cleaned and the whole inside of it moldy, the dryer smelled like a cat had urinated in it, hot water was not working in one of the bathrooms, and the list goes on. Two months down the road we get an email from Dan saying the homeowner is selling the property, which they assured us would not happen, but also informed us that if we move out prior to them selling the house and giving us notice, we would forfeit our $1700 security deposit. Mind you, we were in a month to month lease agreement, meaning that according to Washington State law, either tenant or landlord can give lease termination notice 20 days before the end of the rental period. Now, anyone can google the Washington State tenant right's laws and see that this is a legitimate statute. When I tried to explain this, several times, Dan was extremely rude and condescending, once again (big surprise), and said are "are you a lawyer? No," As if you have to be a lawyer to look up the Washington State laws. I even gave him the RCW number to see for himself. I ended up having to contact my attorney and even then, Dan and Jason both acted extremely ignorant. Thankfully, after reaching out to the homeowner we were somehow able to get the full deposit back without taking them to small claims court. Please whatever you do, regardless of how nice the property you are looking at may seem to be, do not rent from this company! It'll saveyou a lot of money and many headaches. read more

If you find a property SJC rents that you are in love with, just know going into it, that you will be doing almost as many repairs as if you were buying, and that when you move out, even if you follow their instructions to the letter, they will be keeping hundreds of dollars of your deposit, and won't explain why. We liked the rental property we lived in, but, like everyone else here, it was rented to us in a deplorable condition. Basically, the entire move-out cleaning checklist had been ignored; when we told them about everything we found, they said, "then you aren't obligated to do those things when you move out." Because we loved the property and the neighborhood, we stayed, and did the cleaning/lawn maintenance to get it up to par, that should have been done before we moved in. Red flags began to go up when things like the ice maker broke, and they refused to do anything about it, citing it as "non-essential"; the railing on our porch was rotting, and they wouldn't repair it. Our exterior doors were had such terrible weather-stripping, you could close a rug in the door and not even know it; they refused to repair that, too. It became clear that if we didn't want to live in a run-down home, we would have to do the repairs ourselves. When we moved out, we did EVERYTHING on the cleaning checklist, and more. Every wall, window, blind, door light fixture and baseboard was washed; I removed every shelf, clip and bracket from the refrigerator, and moved all appliances and swept/mopped underneath; all cabinets and closets were washed; porches and garage were blown out/any cobwebs swept out of remote corners; bathrooms and kitchen were left sparkling and fresh. We then hired the required "licensed carpet cleaning company" to do the carpets, and took pictures of every room and wall to document the breathtakingly spotless condition of the property. After all that, they charged over $300 for cleaning. They refuse to provide either written or photo documentation of what they they felt was inadequately cleaned. It really is a brilliant scam they have coordinated with the cleaning company; it seems the cleaning company does NOTHING, then, SJC authorizes hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees to the previous tenant. If the new tenants complain (as we did) when they arrive, with their moving truck, and find a filthy house, SJC will send them back, for maybe an hour's worth of work; otherwise, someone is pocketing a load of money for doing nothing. My husband and I managed 12 rental units for 2 1/2 years, when someone moved out, we scheduled a walk-through with the departing tenant, to point out any damages/needed cleaning, and would provide documentation of anything else we found in the two weeks after they left, when returning the remainder of their deposit. When a new tenant moved in, we would do a walk-through with them, and have them sign a statement that the unit was in move-in ready condition, with the entire move-out cleaning checklist having been completed; they had two weeks to report anything that had been missed on the checklist. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They take advantage of young people, military personnel, elderly people and those who don't speak English well. My partner(military) an myself (22 years old) had been on the hunt for a rental home for quite some time. We found what we thought was the perfect house for us. Patrick showed us the home. It was nice but dirty. We were assured it would be cleaned up before we moved in. It was even worse the day we got the keys. Many things in the home needed repair but of course after you move in no one answers your calls. They finally did get a guy to the house who was great. BUT then they charged the elderly home owner THOUSANDS of dollars for small fixes and charged her for over thirty hours of work when the man was only there for one day. Here is where it gets really bad. We had been living in the house for only two months when the property manager Dan Hunt sends us an email "FYI the home owner is selling the home" AFTER ONLY TWO MONTHS. Then Dan tries to tell us our $1700 security deposit would not be refunded even if we gave a proper vacate notice. It would only be refunded if we waited until we received a vacate notice. (Mind you we were on a month to month agreement) so we were expected to wait until they gave us a 20 day notice and then scramble to find a new home and move all in 20 days at no fault to our own???? We had to get an attorney involved and did end up receiving our security deposit back because sjc could not legally withhold it from us. The owner of the home told us sjc knew she would be putting the home on the market yet we were assured that was not the case at move in. To add on to an already horrible situation the property manager Dan Hunt is one of the most disgusting people I've ever met. He's beyond disrespectful. He had my girlfriend who went through military training with people screaming in her face nearly in tears. Everything out of his mouth is highly inappropriate for someone in his position to say. I don't even know how he keeps his job there. Needless to say the company is horrible don't use them. I wish we had researched more but we were so desperate to find a house and they were very nice at first that we didn't think there was an issue. Safe to say we have learned our lesson. My tenants complimented my agent, Jason Clifford, my tenants ended up buying the house and Jason handled the purchase/sale agreement to avoid realtor fees. I live out of state from the property but still have never had a smoother property transaction. I don't understand the bad reviews, I had a decent property that only required standard maintenance, and good tenants, maybe other posts were in regards to unrealistic expectations, I couldn't be happier with them and would refer my friends to them. read more

What a horrible, HORRIBLE experience with Jason from SJC. Proves that daddy giving you a company doesn't mean you're capable of running it sufficiently. Close to NIL communication with him. I email, leave work orders, call and visit the office and he either doesn't get back to me, is an automated response, he's "out right now", hides/is busy or tells me to talk to someone else because he doesn't know or it wasn't his fault. Home fixes were long and drawn out if done at all. Most of the fixes were a band-aid that only needed to be fixed again. I honestly don't think he contacted the owners for things that should have been fixed with first signs. Instead, he waited for them to be major repairs that most likely cost a pretty penny for the owners to hire outside. His contractor, who I believe Jason created another contracting/side business with, must have gotten his license from a cereal box! These two are crooks and I hope that owners see through them sooner rather than later. Save your money and go elsewhere! If it sounds too good to be true, it is! I agree with everything I have read in the other reviews. We believed we signed a 1 year lease, however, 2 months after moving into a house they let us know the owners were moving back from California and we needed to vacate. We had the house professionally cleaned and they still charged us $300+ for cleaning and they took off another $300+ for the utility bill that had already been paid. They definitely screwed us out of half of our deposit. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Jason Clifford and his whole team are very unprofessional and cold hearted. They put me and my family out during Christmas because they failed to fix the mold and mixing tiles in our bathroom in a timely matter. They put up a tarp in the bathroom and had us shower like that for 3+ weeks before they sent their Contrator out to tear down the wall and put the tarp back up for another 2+ weeks. (Not to mention no heater and during the coldest part of the year). When we finally had enough and started to speak up they deceived to serve us with a 20 day notice to vacate so they can fix the problems. Needless to say we rented from them for 4+ years and never were late in rent and took care of the of the house that they could care less about. I almost beat that the owners of these run down places do not know how SJC Jason Clifford doesn't care how the house looks. I had mold in the house and they came out to fix it with two cans of aerosol spray. Didn't even clean it. I feel sorry for the next family who rents from these idiots. read more

This company is a JOKE!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! We got charged a $200 cleaning fee when we moved out of our place. Which we had the carpets professionally cleaned and showed proof of receipt, and sent pictures of the house of its condition when we moved in (which was terrible, had mold growing in every window and bugs/spiders everywhere!!) and pictures of how it was when we moved out, which ended up being cleaner than when we entered the place. Jason... He is a POS, won't get back to us about why they took $200 for cleaning, and just gives us the run around. If he could give a legitimate reason as to why, then fine. But he has yet to give any reason at all, and we turned keys in the last day of February and we are still battling with him/SJC... We are currently talking to a lawyer and putting together a case with the housing authority in Pierce county... Really bothers me, because I am sure we are not the first people they have done this to. But from what I've noticed we are the only ones with the means to do anything about it... SJC sucks... As with all other renters reviews please stay away from SJC when we rented the house it was gross there was a women feminine pad under the stove. It was not cleaned at all. thru the entire 2 years we rented the home the owner and employees were extremely rude and talked down to you. When we moved out the house was spotless. They fraudulently charged us for cleaning the gutters when I already cleaned them. Then they charged 255 dollars to clean the house when I had 3 people clean the house spotless. I left my alarm sensors behind and have been requesting them since 3 days after i moved out which is illegal for SJC not to return them. If you want a rental company that takes there time fixing problems with your home, treats you poorly and makes up charges when you move out then SJC is for you but honestly there are other rental company's out there PLEASE use them instead. and make sure you take through pictures and video like i did prior to moving in and on move out. If there were negative stars, SJC and their property manager Bill U. deserve them. They are unethical, and like everyone said here, didn't make repairs. Even to the point where our carport roof fell off and was twisting in the wind at eye-level--just enough to guillotine you--it stayed like that for three months. Bill also threatened that we'd have no heat over the winter (which I'm pretty sure is illegal, or at the very least, not great customer service). They didn't return our full deposit when we left the place spotless and followed the rental agreement to a T. They also played games with sending it to our old address, so it spent time forwarding through the mail system. They ignored two certified letters that we sent--they were returned "Unclaimed" by the post office. Any BS game you can think of, SJC and Bill did it. He is totally smarmy and any landlord that works with them is also unethical. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way. read more

This management company is a joke. We moved in and none of the repairs were done prior to our move in. None of the walls were painted, even where the previous tenants children drew on them. Upon move in they stated that rent would not be late if in the box on the morning of the 5th or following business day, I put my check in the drop box at 9:30am on Sunday the 5th which is not a business day and they said I was late so I showed them the policy that they gave me in writing and they took off the late fee but it stayed in my file as late. Then they sent out a new written policy stating rent was late at Midnight on the 4th regardless of the day. The furnace was broken when we moved in and it took them months to repair it. Then came the bad part- MOVE OUT CHARGES. They charged $475 for yard work even after I mowed the lawn, $400 to clean gutters! And charged me for stuff that was already broken when we moved in. Total move out charge was around $2400 which is insane, I have never ever had to pay that much $ upon move out. My deposit was $2300 because my credit wasn't "good" so they took the entire deposit and sent me a bill that I had to contest. These people are one big scam for sure. DO NOT RENT FROM SJC unless you absolutely have to and just expect to get the shaft so your not surprised. I spoke with several neighbors and all had similar experiences with them. COMPLETELY agree with all of the negative comments. This company is terrible. Repairs are band aid repairs if at all done. Repair man literally fixed 2 things with tape!! We rented from SJC for almost 5 years, paid rent on time every month, had professional landscaping every spring/summer, took really good care of the house. We spent days cleaning and checking off their unrealistic move out check list. After move out they charged us an extra $2000 on top of the deposit we paid upon move in. Have yet to see receipts for all of the work that they claimed was needed. There is no such thing as normal wear and tear with SJC rentals. If you make the mistake of renting from SJC, make sure you document very well every single tiny little repair needed to protect yourself from paying out of pocket when moving out. They wont fix these things, but, if you document them you have a better chance in court. read more

SJC Management Group is the absolute worse, I rented a one bedroom apartment for 2 years from this place. From the very beginning the customer service was horrible, no assistance what so ever constantly moving around the move in date even though a set date was agreed upon they changed it on me twice costing me more money because I had just been stationed in the area from overseas and was temporarily staying at a hotel. Also when moving out I was charged over $300 dollars for a smoke detector, $150 cleaning fee, $150 carpet cleaning fee and a few other miscellaneous charges that they do not explain. In the end the total amount happened to be almost exactly what my total deposit was, funny how that came to that amount. Long story short DO NOT I say again DO NOT rent any property or do business with this company. Almost every single review on here says the same thing, there's no way we can all be crazy....worse rental company I have ever dealt with....please stay away from SJC Management....awful business. read more
