    Steak and shrimp plate

Went to good old Sizzler last night for the first time at their Lake Forest location. If you can't decide on what to eat it's still a solid place for the price and options. All u can eat salad bar for $10 as an add on to your entree is worth it because they have so many options. I ordered the steak and 6 fried shrimp with a baked potato-everything on it. $23 .99 for the entree. My server was awesome and very attentive bringing the cheese toast fresh and on request. Restaurant is clean and they are continuously wiping down the tables as they get lots of traffic in the evening time (especially on a Sunday night). Will come again when I'm in the area.

Wow! Thoroughly impressed by this Sizzlers branch. I can definitely understand why it's top rated. The salad-bar buffet experience ($19.99) was very well-managed. I enjoyed the usual hot foods here but compared to other branches, the taco meat here was actually super delicious and I enjoyed how there were actual warmed corn tortillas. I seriously never saw that in the many other Sizzler's I've been to growing up. The soups were all wonderful and I really enjoyed the menudo, which was tasteful and the beef was tender and juicy! Ontop of that, the older gentleman we had as server named Jose was very efficient and really took care of us well. He replaced waters, grabbed our plates, and was very nice. He truly made our experience even better and for that, we are super grateful for! Definitely a good pick on a Sunday morning.

One thing about me: I loveeee a salad bar. And Sizzler provides an excellent salad bar. I've been to this location a couple times and whether it's the opening lunch slot or dinner the salad bar stays stocked with fresh veggies, toppings, and dressings. They keep it very clean despite the high volume of patrons. Service is excellent, too. I've noticed that the owner (at least I think it's the owner) is always milling around, checking in and greeting diners. It's a small touch but you can really tell they care about providing quality customer care here and that shines through in all of the interactions with the staff. My husband got the classic trio. It was tasty but the mashed potatoes were not our favorite, they weren't super warm. Steak was cooked perfectly though. I'm sure we'll be back when the salad bar craving strikes again.

It's been a while since we've last been to Sizzler and I had a craving for their salad bar. Joshua provided amazing service today clearing our plates and refilling our drinks. This place is kept very clean and service is so friendly. They do a great job on replenishing their salad bars and keeping it nice and tidy. Sadly you don't see too many Sizzlers around anymore but If you want to experience a nice blast from your past you have to come to this location. It is retro and very nostalgic and even the music they play is a flash from your past ! Their soft serve dessert options are an excellent end to a satisfying salad bar meal. Come try this place out. All you can eat Salad bar prices are about $18.

Long time since I've been here and I loved it. Great food and prices. Our service was friendly and dining area clean. Great place to share a bottle of wine and have a steak.

Classic Steak Trio combo, no shrimp, add fries

Came in for lunch on a rainy Thursday and ordered the Classic Steak Trio combo. Dariana took my order at the entrance and was quick, patient, and very kind while answering all my questions. She made the whole ordering process smooth and welcoming. After I sat down, Jose took care of me and provided stellar service -- attentive, caring, and right on time whenever I needed something. It's always great when the staff makes you feel taken care of. The food was still delicious, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the portion and quality. Definitely a solid lunch spot with good ambiance.

Great and modern seating and a very clean location. We loved the variety in the menu and the quality of the food! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the mushroom sirloin tips were amazing. Our server, Joshua, was very attentive and very friendly. We loved our Sunday family dinner and will plan to return soon!

    Taco chicken wing potato wedge

Sizzler is always nostalgic. There's not many left in the area in Southern California. It's a real treat to come visit this one. I got their dresses. It opened and they were already three people ahead of me and several more behind me. I was really hoping to just have a quick lunch which really just included the salad bar. I asked about the lunch specials, which started at $14.99. And included a few steaks in the Malibu chicken. They only came with side items and not the salad bar which was an additional $9.99. I ended up just getting the salad bar which was $18.99 plus a Coke which rounded out to around $24. The salad bar and hot food bar and dessert bar were freshly stocked and looked fresh and delicious. Obviously, since it had just opened, everything was still intact. They had a citrus salad, which was delicious. I also tried just making my own salad as well as a few chicken wings, a taco, a potato wedge and some macaroni salad. The server with the dark brown hair pulled back was very nice and friendly. She brought me another refill of Coke. She also brought me the infamous garlic toast, which should be illegal in my opinion because it's so delicious. Just cool old-school vibes inside. I always find lunch is a more mellow vibe and dinner which I would find chaotic. Plenty of parking out front. Everything I tried tasted fresh and delicious although the tuna salad did have an overly fishy flavor to it. I know it's tuna, but this was a little more pronounced. The citrus salad was delicious. I did not have any dessert. The Coke was perfection and honestly the vegetable beef soup was also delicious with large chunks of vegetable vegetables in a delicious broth. I think the value overall is pretty good. I think you can start to creep a little bit with pricing once you start adding a lot of stuff into your initial meal. I think next time I probably would get an entrée and then maybe add the salad bar because it basically came out to the same price. I only made one trip through the actual salad bar and one trip before the hot food bar.

In some dishes, that flavor profile worked really well, but in others, it definitely didn't land the same way. We started with the warm artisan rosemary focaccia served with whipped honey butter. The bread itself had that same subtle tang I noticed throughout the meal, but the honey butter balanced it out nicely. The added sweetness helped cut through the tang, making it much more enjoyable overall. Next, we had the baked skillet mac and cheese, which was easily the standout of the entire meal. I don't say this lightly, but it was about as close to perfect as mac and cheese can get. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and had that ideal baked texture on top. This dish alone made a strong impression. We also ordered the cast iron roasted Brussels sprouts. These had a similar tangy-sweet flavor like the focaccia, and overall they were actually quite good. However, the raisins added to the dish didn't really contribute anything meaningful. At first glance, I even thought they were corn, which was confusing. While the sprouts themselves were well-cooked and flavorful, the raisins felt unnecessary and didn't elevate the dish. The Caesar salad was probably my least favorite item. I'm not entirely sure why it was labeled a Caesar salad, because it didn't resemble the classic version at all. The Tijuana vinaigrette was extremely overpowering and leaned heavily acidic, almost like eating straight lemon. It lacked the creamy, rich, balanced flavor you expect from a traditional Caesar, which made it disappointing. For the main, I had the prime 10oz flat iron steak frites. The steak itself was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, the fries were cold when they arrived, which took away from the overall experience of the dish. Overall, the meal was okay. It's not something I would rave about, but it might be worth trying at least once. With such a limited menu, I expected a bit more consistency and refinement across the dishes. It wasn't the worst meal I've had, but it also wasn't the best just somewhere in the middle.

The experience started on a high note when we met a friendly local couple who recommended ordering the sauce plate for our steaks. It was a game-changer. When your stomach starts rumbling like distant thunder over the Pacific, there's no "I'll wait until I get home." Restaurant restroom it was. I've had better texture from applesauce. And the steak? I'm still confused. It came out dark brown like it had been cooked into next week, yet somehow was still raw. Truly groundbreaking. A scientific mystery. Someone call NASA because I'd love an explanation. We basically ordered the menu thinking something had to be good. Statistically, it should've happened. It did not. Every dish felt like a personal challenge from the kitchen: "How far can we go before they stop eating?" Answer: sooner than you'd think.
