Dusiy was completely honest with me about all the history of my vehicle before I had purchased it, and he had shown me all the legal documents that were related to it. Dusiy the Sales Manager was completely fair and honest about all the history and technical details about the vehicle I was planning to purchase from Principal Auto. I felt I was completely and honestly informed about all the history and details of my Honda Civic. Dusiy the Sales Manager offered me a reasonable price for the purchase of my vehicle. To be certain that I had received a completely fair price for my vehicle, Dusiy had installed new brake pads and rotors for all four tires, and he also installed four new tires and four new springs and forks for a new suspension system. Dusiy the Sales Manager installed all these important parts on to my Honda Civic that I had purchased without me even asking for anyone of these parts. The first time he…read morewas nice enough to drive my car to experience what I was describing and didn't charge me a dime. What impressed me was how he remembered me on the 2nd and 3rd visits and when I told him the year, model and colour of my car, he remembered the issue I was having. Remarkable when you consider the number of vehicles and customers he deals with. He is great with his staff and I think it says a lot of a person, who when a customer isn't clearly in earshot (but has great hearing), treats their staff with respect and not for show. I was very happy to find that he was open on Saturdays, when one Friday night I got my first check engine light. I just dropped in and was prepared to make an appointment and leave, but he found the issue quickly and also pointed out that the necessary new part was only $55 ordered from a local dealer. I liked that he thought it was important to do the job right and not a quick fix and took a fatherly tone when I inquired about a used part instead of being patient and waiting for the new one. "We're not talking about thousands of dollars here" he says, politely discouraging me from being cheap. He had the part Tuesday afternoon and I had it fixed the next day. In the meantime he had my car working and fine for any trips around the city I needed to make. I asked him about rims I liked on other models and if he ever sees any for sale, which he would remember on my next visit and was going to trade with me, meaning I'd not be stuck with the old rims I no longer needed and having to pay the full cost of the new set. He'd have no trouble selling those rims on Craigslist for much more than he was offering me. I think he enjoyed my enthusiasm for my new, old car and wanted to help me fix it up. In the end my existing rims were smaller and so he couldn't swap and put my smaller rims on another vehicle. I bought my car in December and when the a/c wasn't blowing cold air on Easter weekend, I thought I should take it in before it gets really warm. Considering the age of my car, it would make sense the a/c refrigerant needed to be replenished. Maybe a hose needed replacing due to a leak. What Jeremy found was that my a/c was by-passed with a shorter engine belt, avoiding the air compressor, which would likely have made considerable noise if it wasn't working properly. I would have heard this on my test drive and not bought the car, so this was obviously done to make a sale. If the dealership didn't do this, it should have been noticed and repaired before the sale since climate control and air-conditioning were advertised as features on the vehicle. In December, turning the climate control low enough to have the a/c kick in, would have had the car blowing air from outside the car, which was already very cold and I wouldn't have noticed. Jeremy doesn't deal with the warranty company that provides the warranty for my car, which I completely understand. Though the warranty was helpful in getting this issue with the a/c fixed at Central Import (around the corner), I've not heard good things about the warranty company online and don't think I'd do business with them either. If I had the cash I would have just had Jeremy fix it, knowing that it'd be done right, but being out of work, I had no choice but to leave and find a place that would do warranty repairs. I recommend Jeremy and would take my vehicle back for sure. Since I started going to Central Import (initially because they deal with the warranty company for me and have been amazing and it's only fair to reward great service with return business) I haven't been back, but regard Jeremy's quality work to be the high standard everyone else is compared to now.

I kinda noticed the parts did not look new, but thought it was just in my head, and thought no one would claim to be replacing parts with new parts and be putting in old used parts. But I am sure now that this is the case, he will make you feel as though he is helping you by charging you minimal labour but he is putting used parts and charging the new price to make his huge profit. Ask for the box for new parts he will never have it. I recently got taken for more than a thousand dollars and when I asked for my old parts which is required by law to be offered to customer he gave me a story about how the garbage had been thrown out on a Saturday, yeah sure it was Jeremy. This man is rude and doesn't know how to speak to customers. He argued with me for 5 minutes because I wanted to bring my own parts then finally when I conceded and let him purchase "original" parts for full Saab price. I got my car back and it ran terrible, obviously he had not purchased the new part and replaced my old parts with used parts or a back door fix. When i was arguing with him he told me where he was purchasing my parts from and I took him for his word. When I started having issues I called the parts distributed, they told me the part would take 1 week to get(he said was in stock)I then asked if they had recently sold this part in last week, the parts guy said no and that he always works the Saab parts for that dealership. I am finished with this con shop, beware if you still want to take your car here. Ask to see the box for new part and take a good look at what he says he's changed. He charged me for a new ignition cassette. It was rusty the bolts were rusty and it looked old. He lies, lies , LIES! I don't mind paying, but this guy makes you pay, and gives you the cheaply service and old used parts. Trust me RUN! Far far away. Take your car to beacon. You may pay a bit more, but you will get exactly what you pay for, not lies and intimidation and rudeness when you ask simple questions, when you call and ask about your car you won't get attitude and terrible service. He's only nice when it's time to pay, and he's mr nice guy all of a sudden. This may have been a good shop in the past. But he is tired old and angry about working for a living and has resorted to scams to make his living. I am now in a situation where I know that I am screwed because I've already paid and he has put some garbage part in my car where I need to pay 400$ to get to it. and when they open it up and see its old parts, I will have no recorse other than to pay again to have it fixed by someone else, get receipts and ask for your old parts, and if you have the guts, ask for the box of the new part. Watch how he will squirm, because he's a con man. Thank for giving it to me nice Jeremy, you taught me another huge lesson. We were all very happy with the services we got. Rui and Ken are very organized. Booking an appointment is easy because they're very responsive. The pricing is fair, and most importantly, they are honest. When they tell you what the issue of the car is, they actually show you, so you know it's true. They also don't get annoyed when you ask questions. They aren't pushy and give you options, so you can decide what's best for you and your budget. Rui, who is the mechanic, can work on any type of car, including European cars. He has over 15 years experience working on European cars, and he's done a great job with ours. I was also amazed at how clean the shop is. It's spotless. It's hard to believe it's a car shop looking at how clean and organized everything is. 10/10 recommend R&K Auto for any car services you need!

Visited this mechanic for the second time for the same issue (horn not always working)…read more First, I take back my assessment that Jimmy is "mechanic's mechanic". He was friendly with me on my first visit, but was rather cold on the second. When I said that I want to disconnect a theft-protection sensor under the hood (a common practice for Mazdas of this generation), he explained to me that it is not easy to do and told me to go home and do it in my spare time. - Well, why would I drive there in the first place if I wanted to do the dirty jobs myself? I said I also want to check the transmission mount, but he interjected that the next customer was already waiting for him. He didn't follow up if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Second, the wait times and punctuality. Both times I visited him I arrived on time. Both times I had to wait while he was busy with something else or taking calls. And that's another thing: he doesn't have a secretary, so he has to take calls which sometimes last 15 minutes. On my second visit the job (replacing the horn) took him about 15 minutes. Another 55 minutes were spent with me waiting while he was in his "office". Third, the sneaky pricing. On my first visit he told me the labor would be 70 CAD, on the second visit it was suddenly 75 CAD. And that's in addition to the 60 CAD diagnostic charge for this trivial problem after my first visit. All in all, I paid 152 CAD for labor alone for replacing a faulty car horn. Not too bad, actually, in Toronto prices. But, unfortunately, I will not be coming back with the rest of the issues my car has accumulated over the years.
