I had borrowed a gray Model 3 and had an amazing experience. The person who had greeted me explained how to add the rental to my Tesla app. Told me it was in my best interest to note the condition of the EV by taking pictures or a video to document whatever blemishes, etc. I found prior to leaving the lot. And when I returned it, another staff member was just as kind. Even offered me a ride to the repair shop to pick up my Tesla. At that time, I returned the rental car with a state of charge (SOC) between 75-78% and there was no issue. The Hertz website specifically says "You are only required to recharge the battery level at the time of pickup - but you never have to bring it back over 75%." Fast forward to a few days ago, when I chose this location to rent from, only this time I did not have pleasant interactions with the agents. Different people staffed from a year ago. Upon entering the office, one of two agents asked for my ID, gave me the valet card and then told me where the car was. In and out in less than 2-3 minutes. Did not ask me if I had experience driving an EV. No pleasantries like "good morning" or "how are you" or "have a nice day." If positive interactions mean anything to you, then that is not what I experienced. Definitely not what I was expecting given how nice the people were last time. I reserved their red Model 3 for two (2) days. Added the EV to my Tesla app (see picture). Upon returning the car, the other agent tried to charge me $20 for not returning it with the same SOC as when picked it up. When I borrowed it, the SOC was 87%. The agent claimed it was 92% and the receipt I received afterwards said it was 100%. Such discrepancy with what the SOC was when I borrowed the car. Good thing I took a picture to document what it was. Note: there is no way you can return an EV where the SOC will be at 100%, unless you charge it a few blocks away before returning it. I brought it back with 77%. At first, the agent said that 75% amount only applies to vehicles borrowed from airports. Nowhere does it say that on the Hertz website. I proceeded to say that I have borrowed a Tesla from the same location before and I did not have to pay a "recharge fee". Then she changed her tune and said because I have "Gold Plus Membership" I will not be charged for returning the car below the SOC it left with days prior. Whoever worked here a year ago, please bring them back. The two experiences I have had here are like night and day.

Turns out to be a technician fault, as the connector plug was removed during the engine cleaning process before putting the car on the lot. Always ask questions for a full demonstration of all mechanical and electronic systems. These are fleet (rental) vehicles, so their history is unknown, but they do a good of servicing while in their possession. Once you purchase a vehicle, you'll be directed to a 3rd party provider for service. They won't tell you this until you have an issues and request support. I'm not disappointed with the vehicle, but honest up-front should be a priority.

Well, It's been a week now since owning the vehicle and so far everything's been running good without any issues. Happy to say we got a keeper! So it turns out that the vehicle we were interested in did not work out with the previous buyer who bought it impulsively. Sebastian kept in contact with me to let me know that the vehicle would be available for purchase again. Alejandro & Javier assisted me on the day of sale. Miguel, the manager, spoke with me personally and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Because of these guys, my faith has been restored. Every time I rent from this Enterprise I have a great experience. The staff is super nice and helpful. Hands down the BEST customer service!!! Leonard Dunn is an exceptional manager and his team of assistant managers are just outstanding. I cannot say enough positive things about Leonard personally. He is a very sincere and approachable person. I had no idea that he was the Branch Manager until today. He has been a champion to work with GEICO on our behalf with company policies. Leonard has gone to bat for our family with his regional office to make accommodations. If he can't take care of it locally, he WILL find a way. That is just his way. He is so customer-focused and genuine. Other times he has helped us but never hinted to the fact that he was the Chief. He is so concerned about earning your business, maintaining your business, and making sure that everything is A-OK with the rental, itself. The staff's attitudes are so positive, upbeat, and customer service-focused. They will call you back. They will pick you up. They will take you back home after a rental is completed. They have even called an UBER for us a few times when their driver was not available. Just top-notch management. Diana Vasquez has raised the bar for exceptional service. She is a jewel, and just a really, really nice person. Once I thought I had left a book in the car that I turned back in and she sent an Enterprise person to the oil change place to try to find the book and searched for the book for me everywhere. Recently, I was fortunate to be able to speak with Diana about an issue with a contractor and explain and show her the issues I was experiencing. She immediately took action and together with Leonard they took care of it promptly. Jonatan Gutierrz is a gem. He went above and beyond for us on a rental back in December. He facilitated working with another company to get our rental underway. He has a great attitude, very fast and courteous which I really appreciate in this business. He seems to really enjoy his job. Rick Taylor is the man! He is so very thoughtful. Once he came out to the parking lot to give more information to us for our UBER courtesy. Just top-notch service. Rick has a great attitude - always smiling and will go out of his way, even in the rain. As he was walking back that day into the building, we were so impressed by that kind act. You can count on him to be super helpful. He's not always there, but when he is, he really lights the place up. Great energy! Great job!! Sarah is also very sweet and strives to give your account the attention it deserves. She is honest and patient as well. The team - Super efficient and friendly people! The courtesy driver is also polite and professional. Venue - Right off a busy street. Smaller lobby than airport locations, but welcoming environment, kept clean. Fleet - Cars are in pristine condition. Good selection. Mostly brand new. We have never had a problem with a smoke smell, or cleanliness. They will walk you out on the lot and present you with a few choices in your category. Return - Checkout upon returning the car is literally a 30 second transaction. They will email a receipt to you and you are on your way. Hassle-free. I would choose them over and over again. Highly recommended!

They will in effect say "So what, why are you calling? What do you want?" They will not have a clue as to what a customer might need after this happens, it will be a bother to talk to you. Lets see if Anybody calls back at all...the car broke Sunday 7-26. Its now Tuesday afternoon...nada. No communication. The tie rod broke in the driveway of my house. If it had happened on the freeway, this would have been waaaay different. They should comp at least a portion of this rental.

The staff was friendly and the pickup/drop off was seamless. I took lots of pictures and videos of the car before and after because I heard they try to send you a bill weeks after drop off for dents or scratches that you didn't cause so I waited to write this review but luckily no such bill came. The car itself was clean, presented no issues during the 5 day trip. I know every experience with Budget can be hit or miss. When trying to pickup a rental from FLL airport after a redeye, they ran out of cars even though I had a reservation and were rude and offered no solution except to sit and wait for hours, which we did not do so you just never know, but at this place, at this time, I walked away with a positive experience.

She finally showed up at 8:30am in a Toyota IA (very compact car) and he said it should be cheaper because it wasn't a full size sedan. Then he charged our card $122 and said "oh no" that's wrong and fixed it. He finally said it will be $86 and the $122 should be refunded in 2-6 business days. We left. We returned at 5pm two days later when they close at 6pm. The representative Josh, was missing. We waited awhile. Another lady came in and could tell we were frustrated, so she made a phone call once she heard how long we were waiting. The guy on the phone said, "he was on his way back," which was very vague. At this point it was 5:50 and still no show. Finally at 5:57 pm he showed up and I let him know I had been waiting an hour and he didn't even give me a simple sorry. I asked for his managers number and he seemed so careless that I was frustrated. I definitely don't recommend this Avis/budget at all!!! Oh and too add to all this. There was a can of soda with ants pouring out of it. It was disgusting.
