Sixt accusing me of damaging a BMW I never rented.

Believe the 1 star reviews and don't make the mistake I made thinking your experience will be any different. I am currently being accused by the Claims Department of damaging a vehicle I never rented. My partner and I are floored by this "companies" incompetence. I have no idea who is running this place or if they are even a legal entity. Customer service is nonexistent. This issue has been ongoing. PLEASE rent a car from another company. I am in the process of hiring a lawyer to help us deal with this matter, since we have not been able to speak to a competent human being or manager. UPDATE: The company's response is a joke. The claims department just sends you the same invoice over and over again with threatening remarks. They even sent me another clients personal information by "accident." They're currently being sued left and right. They will immediately send your information to a debt collection agency. Do not give in!! You can fight this. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I hired a lawyer. You can also take them to small claims court if you're dealing with a similar issue.

My reservation was set for 7 Am I arrived at 7:15 to a closed store. When I call the number on the door it repeats the hours 7AM-7PM yet no one is here. Calling the number gets you absolutely no where you can't reach an actual person. The staff should have called me and let me know now my trip is delayed and I have to sit here like a dummy.They opened at 8 which are the new Covid hours which were not stated when I made the reservation. Lincoln road was closed and they told me I was transferred to this location but the staff wasn't able to pull it up. He asked for a bill with my name and address on it which was not stated on the reservation. Finally he changed it but there was a $200 deposit that was also, not mentioned when I made online reservation. Then, I got a dented car. 1) make sure you confirm your location and time - cause they won't. 2) call and ask all that is required for you at pick-up 3)inspect your car for any prior damage and confirm that they have been made aware of it We all know how big corporation companies can be SNAKES. Make sure you are on top of everything when you choose to rent from Sixt. On a side note: the man was a bit stiff and rude at first but quickly realized what a mess the whole thing was and started to be nice, so he gets a pass for upholding the best service he could have possibly provided. Thank you.

Go to Miami Airport to rent a car instead!…read more Had a car reservation at 11am. I arrived at 11am and did not leave this place until around 1:30pm. I waited 2.5 hours for a car!!!!!!! They wanted to give me a compact car when I specifically reserved a SUV. We had 4 big suitcases and they were not going to fit in a compact car. They were just giving people random cars and did not care about the size someone needed. What threw me off the roof was that a family of 5 came about an hour after of us waiting there and one of the employees took them to the corner of the parking lot and gave them an SUV!!?! We were there first, but they got the car. This place is unfair. We confronted the employee about this and he lied to us saying they were already here before us! HOW IF I SAW THEM AT THE BACK OF THE LINE WHEN WE WERE CHECKING IN!?? The manager John, does not know how to manage this location. He was disrespectful and did not know what to do. He has no problem solving skills, no customer service skills, no communication skills. We told them why dont they just ask for stash of cars from nearby locations? They said they couldn't do that. After waiting another hour, they told us that they had cars coming from Miami Airport. I THOUGHT THEY COULDN'T DO THAT!??? I don't know how he is still there managing that location. It's either the company's fault for allowing them to fail customers this bad or the manager doesn't know how to speak up and ask for help. This location does not have any stash of cars for people to pick-up. They rely on returns, which is horrible. Miami Airport is literally 15-20 mins away. If they have drivers that can move cars around to other locations, why not think ahead and do that, instead of relying on returns.

Told me he wasn't going to give me a car and that I had to get out! Threatened to call police - which I welcomed as all I was asking for is the car I booked and to see if there was any compensation for the inconvenience of taking hours from our vacation. There were many witnesses to his behaviour and I am sure there will be many complaints!
