From begging the rental clerks to do an inspection of the vehicle exterior to ensure they don't try to blame you for existing dings and scratches to returning the car, it can literally take hours! The wait isn't really the issue though. To avoid lengthy times and additional confusion do come prepared with your documents and definitely reserve your car online in advance and always go directly through the rental agency, not a third party website, but this applies to any and all rental agencies you're looking to rent from. Two stars for charging us for an empty tank of gas for our stolen vehicle. Yep- our car was stolen just outside of Bari and they did of the courtesy of charging us for a full tank of gas plus a late fee for a car that we clearly were not going to return. Is their fault the car was stolen? No. But their customer service is completely lacking. It's took us two hours in line to give back the car keys, Drop off our police report and yes, get charged to refuel a stolen vehicle.

Line was absurd both for the rent and for the return. My cheapness got the best of me again.read more

She was warm, friendly, helpful, and did not try to upsell us extra insurance at all. We showed her our two proofs of insurance (one on the credit card, one from a third party travel insurer) and she said "great!" and let us know it was a reimbursement system if anything did happen. Then she upgraded our vehicle, gave us our keys, and took the time to write out a list of her favorite spots to go visit in Puglia. Returning the car was painless, with no issues around dents or anything. Thank you Tiziania! Le abbiamo mostrato le nostre due prove di assicurazione (una sulla carta di credito, una di un assicuratore di viaggio di terze parti) e lei ha detto "fantastico!" e facci sapere che era un sistema di rimborso se fosse successo qualcosa. Poi ha aggiornato il nostro veicolo, ci ha dato le chiavi e si è presa il tempo per scrivere un elenco dei suoi luoghi preferiti di lei da visitare in Puglia. La restituzione dell'auto è stata indolore, senza problemi intorno ad ammaccature o altro. Grazie Tiziano! Ti meriti un grosso aumento!

Warning!!! Budget in Bari Italy are the worst staff ever,…read morethey charged us over 200 Euro xtra for insurance we already had prepaid 3 weeks before arraival! The staff gave us no chance, just to sign the new contract or else NO CAR. We tried really hard to solve the problem at their office the day after since we landed late at arrival day (13-10-22). Their coordinator Giusy just laugh at us and talked ever so loud that ALL the Customers in line heard her proud attitude toward us, she meant that we were the problem an d had our self to blame. Our vacation was totally destrotd and at return date, I took some photos att Giusy and Budgets office to have some proof of their attitude and inform and warn rental Customer at Internet. Giusy and a colleague threaten us with the Police, and told us that we were going to get our money back. Still after 2 months!! Budget show no interest to give us the money back that we got charge xtra for. Budgets Customer Service still blame us and have no interest to solve our experience made by their Budget staff in Bari Italy and their coordinator Giusy. Please chose another car rental company!! Brutal Service and experience at the Bari Airport location. They charge late fees for picking up…read morethe car late, even after you already paid. This was the first stop on our vacation and were greeted by a lot of stress from an attendant was rude, lazy, and deceitful. We tried at all hours of the day to inform them of the change in arrival time and could not get through because nobody picked up the phone, nor is there an answering machine. When we arrived and explained our situation, the attendant was unhelpful, and preferred to lay blame on the online booking company instead, I even showed the attendant that the agreement said to call the location office. Because I had already paid for the car I was entitled to rent the car, but then were exploited by the attendant would not release it, without forcing us to pay further. She wouldn't even give us her name. And while we were there we saw the phone go ignored a number of times. Poor experience at Autovia. And would not rent from them again. Their desk attendants make it difficult for customers, even after you follow their instructions.

But, there wasn't any food inside the baggage claim area. After an early flight from Milan, I was looking for a snack. I was out of luck. The departure area was much different. The ticket area is small but has all plenty of options to grab a bite. Not to mention, once inside the gate, there are many areas to sit and plug in before your flight. Overall, the airport is clean and convenient.

For some reason he doesn't like Turist and he didn't accept my American documents even if the GoldCar company told him too. He made me understand that I needed to give him 100€ tips if I wanted the car. Please be very careful with this person. If you want problems this is the right place to go. Here a pic of him.
