Highly recommended! We took the Alberobello and Beach tour with Paco. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Take an hour van ride to Alberobello, a UNESCO historical site, to see the Trulli houses. You are given a quick primer on the Trulli then let loose to the streets to explore. Many of the little houses are souvenir shops while others are still active residences. We spent an hour wandering, enjoying and taking photos. We were Trulli'd out after an hour and ready to move on. The van then takes you to Gorgo Freddo, about 30 minutes away. There you'll get a quick, light lunch. Today it was a small Foccacia, cappicola on Italian bread, a nice local cheese, a few anise-flavored frisedda and a peach served picnic style adjacent to the church. After lunch we were treated to an espresso or cappuccino across the street at a small cafe. Perfect. Another 30 minute ride and you're parked south of Monopoli, a seaside village perfect as a bike ride destination. With 6 other Velo-tourists we followed our guide along the coast road, about 4 Miles, stopping at a small beach and castle for a few pics and a rest. Continuing on we were quickly in the city center. Paco let us know we had 1 hour in Monopoli and encouraged us to explore the city, making sure we got a local gelato. After Paco left we all decided a beer and focaccia or panini was more appropriate, so we sat down at an al fresco cafe in a small square. It was a great choice, as we then shared camaraderie with a couple from the Netherlands, an Aussie and a Polish grandmother who spoke not a word of English but seemed to be having great fun. The van ride back to Bari was another 30 minutes. So, leave at 0945. Return to Bari Old City at 1800-ish. Bike ride: easy 4 Miles. Guides: great. Price: €90pp+tip. Specialized bikes that are in very good condition. Good value. Great fun. So why only 4 stars? Well it should be 4.5 stars. The problem is that we initially were scared of the lack of accurate information on the trip. We couldn't seem to get a straight answer from the hotel Concierge or from the info center where we booked the trip. The Velo Office offered the "brochure" which was a photocopy of a page out of a three ring binder. The "brochure" said the bike ride is 35km. It's not, thankfully. That fact alone is important, as 35km will scare many riders off. So expect a great tour with a guided 4 mile bike ride along a scenic coastline. Molto bene!
Took a food tour here in Bari and overall the experience was great. Our tour guide went above and beyond in helping us (since we had a train to catch) and we enjoyed the experience. I would have loved slightly more expanded food tour; the items like the focaccia, cheese plate, gelato, and basically a calzone (orecheitte?) were all delightful, but on the first stop seeing all those pulpo sandwiches that weren't a part of the tour was slightly disappointing. I guess I should have just bought one to try it because they looked that damn good. The English-speaking + getting a feel of Old Bari throughout the tour was perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to book again! read more

This is the TOUR of all tours!! We did the rickshaw food tour of Bari in order to squeeze more in than with a walking tour. First of all out our tour guide-ss Frederica started the tour out on a fantastic note. She has incredible energy and knowledge about Bari, which a contagious happy attitude which was helpful since my group of friends and I were short on time to catch out train back to Rome, she assured us we had enough time and directed us with the correct walking distances. They have a brick and mortar meeting place where the tour starts which is awesome. The tour was a gorgeous, well thought out mix of food, culture and history with food included in the ticket price. I would do this same tour but next time not put the time constraint of catching a train so that I could enjoy and go back to the spots that interested me! I would not hesitate to book another tour with this company and will be recommending to all friends. I hope to catch them elsewhere in the world as well! read more

We reserved with civitatis.com and tried to cancel with Velo Services as well as with Civitatis.com. The payment was posted, but no cancellation was made: no confirmation of cancellation was received, so they dont cancel after confirmation of reservation, althouth on the site cancellation within 24 hours is stated. The tour itself is quite mediocre--not recommended! read more

Luca & Boji were excellent guides who took us out in a November drizzle - putting a rain canopy on the bikes to keep us dry. This is the way to see Bari if you are there for a short time on a cruise. You get a flavor of the old and new towns, get to sample some gelato and see how pasta is made - and everyone is so friendly because they really like these tour guides. read more
