Lucas, the owner, ensured his team was fully prepared and ready to care for her every step of the way. They were incredibly gentle, kind, and attentive with her -- especially important since she is 78 and at high risk for falls. The team was prompt, responsive, and made the entire process feel safe and smooth. The biggest compliment of all is that my mother-in-law liked them. With her memory challenges and sometimes difficult behavior, that truly says everything about the compassion and professionalism of this team. I would absolutely recommend their services.

It was very easy to request an estimate online for the transportation I needed for my mom and dad (who is her full time caregiver) to get them to her appointments that week. One was later in the day and the other was very early in the morning. Dove arrived on time for one pick up and was running about 10 mins behind on the other, but they were really apologetic for the delay which I appreciated. The best part was they had planned for any possible delay in their estimated time of arrival so my parents were not late at all! They are quick to reply to either an email or a phone call, which I have found is not the case with other transportation providers. But the best part of Dove is that they are truly kind and treated my parents with respect and care. I briefly met Denise and she was wonderful! Their vans are VERY clean, no odd smells, and the belts and straps needed to secure my mom's wheelchair were all in good condition- there were even extra straps they used. They were a little pricier than other options, but given the quality and reliability of their service, it was well worth the cost.

I'm a very active person, and I recently had to schedule hip-replacement surgery. Unfortunately,…read morethe doctor's surgery schedule was such that I had to wait 8 months for a surgery date. During that time, I went from limping to walking only with intense pain, resulting in my using a wheelchair to navigate any but the shortest walks (trips to the bathroom or kitchen). It became increasingly necessary to find help for daily activities like washing & folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, bending down to feed the dog, taking out trash, etc. Giving in to the need, I called Home Instead, whom I'd used a number of years ago for help when my mother fell and broke her arm and several vertebrae. Home Instead was excellent then and were equally excellent in finding me two caregivers to assist before & after my hip replacement. Elaine was assigned to me pre-surgery and also assisted me following my surgery for a period of time until I was stable enough to be on my own again - about 6 months in all. Elaine seems to be a natural caregiver. She had such strong intuition that I often didn't have to say a word. For example, as I prepared to stand while seated in my wheelchair, she quietly positioned herself behind me to ensure I remembered to set the brakes and that I stood carefully. She would note when it was time for me to take medication and brought it to me with a glass of water. She was a quiet companion who blended into my lifestyle without intruding. It's difficult to imagine a better caregiver. Rita was an occasional caregiver for me during this time and was especially significant immediately following my surgery when I needed 24/7 care for a period following surgery, but she also filled in on the few times Elaine wasn't available. She's intuitive, companionable, and very skilled - a great caregiver and real pleasure to have in my home. She called on her experience to assist me, especially immediately following my surgery to assist me in moving my leg (into and out of bed, to and from potty breaks, etc.). She was skilled, friendly, and competent - a delight to be around. In short, I can't imagine a better home care provider than Home Instead. I was welcomed by Daisy, one of the managers at Cool Consultations, who was very kind and helpful. She had me fill out a brief questionnaire and I waited less than 5 minutes to be called back. Once I was in the back office I was greeted by Bobby who was so full of information regarding the benefits of marijuana as medicine. Bobby is also well versed in many of the legal aspects of the marijuana issue. He recorded my height, weight, vitals and took a detailed medical history from me. I brought medical records of my own to share with the doctor. After my visit with Bobby I was led back to see the doctor, AN ACTUAL DOCTOR, AN M.D.! I had not seen an actual doctor in order to obtain my recommendation since I saw Molly Fry, M.D. in 2007. Crystal Speller, M.D., the new owner of Cool Medical after Molly Fry, M.D. left, took over the clinic and I have 6 years worth of recommendations from her yet I have never even seen her! And now her license is on probation; I am not surprised. My visit with Dr. Mikurya was pleasant and thorough. She took the time to consider my records and asked me for additional information. I left with my recommendation and some very good advice from Dr. Mikurya. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rasmussen who also sees patients at the clinic. Unlike most other clinics, Cool Consultations WILL provide personal usage information and plant number recommendations. From start to finish my experience with Cool Consultations was stellar! The ambiance is mellow and inviting, privacy is maintained, the staff was welcoming and helpful and I will go back again and again.

I am writing this review for my Medical Marijuana Doctor because I was so impressed with the…read moretreatment I received. The office is called Cool Consultations and is located in Cool, CA behind Timberline Realty (not the one by the post office in Cool). Cool Consultations is owned by Dr. Beverly Mikuriya who is the sister of the late Dr. Tod Mikuriya. Dr. Tod co-authored Prop.215 and was California's first Medical Marijuana Doctor. The office is managed by Bobby and Daisy Eisenberg, a lovely couple who have had years of experience in working with marijuana doctors. They are extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of medical marijuana issues most importantly those matters surrounding the local and state guidelines that every patient should be aware of. The care I received at Cool Consultations was unsurpassed by any other location I have ever encountered. This office is not a mill. The atmosphere is comfortable and I was afforded all the time I wanted. After filling out some paperwork regarding my history, Bobby Eisenberg spent time with me to answer any questions I had outside of my medical conditions. He recorded my weight, height, temperature and blood pressure. Bobby then discussed the current trends regarding guidelines and some of the legal cases that were going on currently. It is good to know someone who is on top of these things. He works with his county supervisors as a patient advocate and it made me feel good to know I have someone on my side. I really found this to be amazing as I had never encountered anyone quite like Bobby before. I then was introduced to the Doctor who was a very pleasant gentleman and a Doctor I found to be quite knowledgeable. He discussed my medical conditions with me and gave me some insight on what I could do to help with my ailments. So, not only are they there to help you get a recommendation to use medical marijuana legally but they actually care about your health and give you advice to make yourself well. Such a blessing! I highly recommend Cool Consultations to anyone interested in using Medical Marijuana for their condition. This is the best office around! There are two Medical Marijuana offices in Cool...make sure you reach Cool Consultations at 530-888-9020. The other office in town should be avoided as the Doctor was charged with negligence and dishonesty and she is on probation.
