This repeatedly happened for over 45 minutes. In a pinch I called Gold Cab. The owner (?) picked up the phone right away and said they would arrive in 20 minutes. They showed up in under 10. To he honest I was nervous to call an independent cab company, worried they would leave me stranded. I think most people are so used to getting a ride through an app that we now want to see the drivers' profile before the actual ride. However he showed up, had a clean mini- van cab, and didn't subject us to loud music or talking loudly on the phone. I am so incredibly grateful Gold Cab was ready and available to pick us up during our emergency. Please note: They were super helpful in a pinch, however as other reviews noted, prices are much higher than a ride-share. I was a little in shock over the price for an 8 mile ride, but it was after midnight at that point. Reliable and personable, I would definitely call them again if need be.

The half dozen RV transport companies I've talked to have basically said that they are too busy right now to do anything but pickup an RV at point A and drop it off at point B. But another factor may be that Cody, the owner and priniciple driver, says he has the skills to make this tricky delivery. The delivery may be best made with a forklift doing the final 100 yards up a narrow alley and then into my backyard. And Cody says he's got the certification and the experience to do it! On our way to the Sacramento Airport for a Disney Cruise to Alaska, we learned that the car carrying our children and two young grandchildren had been rear ended and totaled. They were stranded on the freeway, shaken, and unable to get to the airport. After dropping us off at the airport, Moe didn't hesitate. He immediately left the terminal, drove straight to the accident scene, gathered our family, and got them safely back to the airport -- delivering them to the gate just in time to make our flight. And he still wasn't done. Moe waited until I confirmed that every one of us had boarded the plane. And after all of that, he still went the extra mile -- literally -- driving the car seats back to my son's house.
