We had a great summer at Six Flags! Even though this park needs some TLC we still had a great time, the attractions are still top notch and the food offerings were good for their value. I hope Six Flags puts more energy in to this park, it is well kept but needs some serious 're-imagining.' Many of the elements that made this park fun in the past just aren't there anymore and there is opportunity to make more of the themes they still have going. There were some oddities we ran into to, once time we needed to fill up our water bottles and the attendant at the freestyle station said we could not fill up there, we asked where we could get water and they said there was no free water. This was at the station near Johnny Rockets. It was odd, especially being the middle of the summer and we had kids. Small operational changes could go a long way in making this a premiere park again. I paid for a season pass with a meal plan and now that the park was bought up by this new company, they took away the meal pass. They replaced it with a huge rip off.... Many people in the St Louis area get season passes with the meal plan and now we aren't getting what we paid for. Today was the first day open of the summer and half the rides were down. Super disappointed. My husband and I were regulars last year and definitely won't be coming back nearly as much. The employees are very kind and polite for the most part. read more

[July 2025/October 2025] I strongly recommend you review the terms and conditions of a Gold Seasonal Pass. A Gold Seasonal Pass must pay a premium/additional fee during weekends after Labor Day or something to that tune. I found out the hard way on a Saturday in October and had to wait in a very long line at Guest Services to convert my Gold Seasonal Pass to a Platinum Seasonal Pass just to get in. Not sure what is going on with Six Flags as of late because it seems more that a seasonal pass is not really worth a few visits even. I may just do a Groupon this year as I only go a few times a year. I always have fun once I am in the park. I think the next hardest part is deciding to enter to the left or right! read more

5 stars for Six Flags St. Louis! I did a mini road trip to come and try out this location as my membership works here as well, and it was very fun! My home park is Great America near Chicago, but the one wasn't too far away. This Six Flags is much smaller than most as an FYI but there is still plenty to do as they have a ton of fun rides here, Mr. Freeze was my absolute favorite. There are a ton of rides to do for young kids and adults alike, a lot of coasters and kids areas as well as a water park in the summertime. The location is near a lot of forest which is pretty neat - it's a nice background for the park when on rides. I'd definitely recommend a visit to Six Flags St. Louis. read more

Six Flags continues to have wonderful rides; we're partial to the roller coasters... Each visit we seek to ride at least American Thunder and The Screamin' Eagle, and ideally The Boss... The food at JB's Smokehouse is great - smoked chicken and/or smoked chicken; there is even a bar there serving "adult beverages." And amazing ice cream, with or without waffle cones; chocolate-covered apples... and the turkey legs. And did we mention the world's best coaster - American Thunder? Hurricane Harbor review: In the 1990s, this was my favorite place. It has changed only a little. Wave pool asked as of 2025. The pirate ship in the kids area has been replaced by a different theme. The slides are still great even though I'm a little too old to do most of them. My favorite slide is the Wahoo Racer because you don't twist and turn. The unhappy thing about HH these days is that the lazy river tends to be closed most days because it takes some 13 or 15 lifegiards to work it. Please tell young people with lifeguard potential to apply for jobs here. read more

This was a great park! I loved how clean it was compared to a lot of the other six flags locations that I've been to. I'm from Florida and I've been to over 85 theme parks and this did not disappoint. The ride ops could be A LOT better but at least a majority of the rides were up and running all day. This place was very disappointing. I didn't even stay the entire day. Bought the ultimate flash pass for nothing honestly. Most of the rides are not even thrilling. Catwoman and Joker were the only rides that long and actually worth getting on. I bought the all day meal pass and Johnny Rockets wouldn't let get the double burger, said I could only get the single or tenders even though it wasn't stated anywhere. Last weekend we went to Six Flags it was AMAZING! 100% recommend the River King Mine Train as starter for very first roller coaster it was great! Also 100% the Batman it was SOOO dope! And at Hurricane Harbor we went to the Wave pool and this big red slide it wasn't worth the wait but it was still really fun and the waves are just amazing one moment your relaxing and another your going up under the water from the waves!! THIS IS FOR FRIGHT FEST They go all out on decorations. This was a lot of fun. Getting to ride new rides at nights, see the new ambiance. Everything is smoky from artificial smoke and lights. It's a good time. At times i would argue they overdid the smoke. It was very saturated in certain areas. As far as the scares go, it was cool. My kids got freaked out a couple times and I was able to walk through one of the haunted houses. It wasn't super high quality but it was worth what I paid for. I can't believe how much decor they put out for this. I was pleasantly surprised. The workers were just as helpful as usual though (NOT AT ALL). All in all, I recommend fight fest. read more

Unfortunately the biggest water park around. My partner and I get season passes every year, and while overpriced, we typically enjoy ourselves enough. We always bring our own lunch and leave to eat in the parking lot as their food is extremely expensive for traditional frozen stuff. The water park is the best part of SIXFLAGSSTL, but today we spent $200+ on season passes, scanned in, got to the water park, rented tubes, got a locker. All was well until 5 minutes later a very kind staff member let us know they were understaffed and decided to close the lazy river + only one tube slide was open, so we needed to return out tubes. It is currently 94 degrees at 11 am and we are experiencing a heat wave in STL. We went to guest services to get refunded for the passes, but because the passes were used to scan in less than 10 minutes ago, they are deemed "used" and unable to be refunded. In addition paid $15 for a locker rental. If we had been told prior the water park would have some of their biggest components closed - we would have not purchased season passes, but that's how they get you. Now we are stuck with season passes to somewhere that does not truly deserve the money. Unfortunate experience, with no real apology or offer to make it right. Even a voucher would have eased the situation. read more

May not have been the best idea to go in the middle of summer. There definitely are not enough air conditioned areas in this park. I had a chicken strip basket for lunch and that also was not a good idea...too heavy for such a hot day and the amount of thrill rides we were doing. After The Boss, all of us were so nauseous we had to seek refuge indoors and get waters to drink. It's a little underwhelming when compared to Universal Studios. Great time here for a FFA trip. Batman roller coaster , Mr freeze, and the joker carnival of chaos are the best. Screaming eagle was the worst I've ever rode however, as the only thing screaming after riding was my back.(just for reference, I'm only 16) Overpriced food, but what do you expect at a place like this. Scenery and decorations were nice. The biggest problem was the amount of technical difficulties they have at the rides. I was only able to ride Mr freeze once, in my 5 hours there, because every time I went to ride it, they closed as I got there for technical difficulties. Let me start off by saying this; DON'T PAY FOR THE MEMBERSHIPS. You get the exact same benefits if you were to buy a season pass which is at a lower price. Even if you buy a season pass every year you would still be paying less than a membership every year. Do not fall for the scam! I had a terrible experience with customer service getting into contact about this situation. Whenever I was able to speak to someone all that was said was they can't do anything about it because of policies and contracts. I tried asking if they could downgrade me to a gold pass instead of a membership so i could pay less, and they said, yet again, that nothing could be done. They had also agreed that it wasn't right that I had to pay more for a membership that offers the same benefits as a season pass at a lower price. It is currently being brought to a corporate level, but I'm having doubts that they will do anything about it. I am a gold member not a gold season pass holder. Quite frankly I'm very upset that I'm paying more every year than someone who holds a season pass for the same benefits. It makes zero sense to make the membership a higher price than a season pass. If they are going to charge more for a membership per year they should also have more perks for those who purchase memberships. On the flip side of my negative comments the park itself is as you would expect any park to be. Relativley clean, good enough service, people are kind and lines are relatively long. One star because of the problem of membership vs. pass. I would give two stars but the park is up to par and not doing anything outstanding or enough to give two stars. read more

I always have the best time when I go here! I only ever go here in the summer, so I'm planning ahead and considering Fright Fest! I know I'll have fun. Had a family day at Six Flags on Memorial Day . I got a season pass so I could get the parking pass added on . Thank god I did Parking has went up this yr. It's ridiculous. Looking at the perks and guess what , there is none . Everything in the park has went up. No deals or discounts. On a good note the weather was great . Parking was close and line and security were on point. No long wait times for the rides and everyone there was peaceful. No violence. The cup deal for soft drinks went up so try to grab anybody to get a deal on pricing. Four or more ppl and your cup goes down to 29.99 . The turkey leg was 16.99 and delicious. If you are looking for a exercise program this is it. I got the pass so I can basically walk the park for exercise. It was great and the incline is steep. read more

We were new to St Louis about 8 years ago, and we now had something new to us a world class theme park in driving distance from our house. For a few years after we moved we had season tickets and a meal plan. We figured we could go a few times a month and have some restful days at the park. This was fine for a few years and then things started to change. At first it was groups of people pushing their way to the front of the line. There were no park employees in site to stop this so it eventually got worse. We tried ordering food and the wait times were up to 40 mins for a few hotdogs and chicken tenders, this time was after we ordered and payed. Ok so yeah not great, the park was starting to slip. When we ordered our tickets for the last year, we were iffy at buying them, because of all the bad experiences leading up to this. We figured that we would give it one last shot. So our last year of buying tickets. Our first trip of the season our hopes for that year were squished. As usual, we ordered our tickets to the park and the meal plan. We were going to spend a nice day at the park. Once again it started to happen again. People were starting to jump the lines not like one or two people we are taking 10-15 people at a time. If you said something they would physically call threaten you. Ok so we did the rides for a while and then we went to order our season drinks. Yeah it started to get bad, we walked around the park multiple times trying to find a drink stand that wasn't closed and when it was open they were out of the cups. So me and my son went and finally found an open stand with cups. We got in line, not thinking about it a group of younger individuals started to gather. All of the sudden it was one, 5 gentlemen ran up and jumped a guy, they just beat the living day lights out of this other gentleman waiting to get his food. As quick as it happened it was over. A young man was laying on the ground beaten and broke. I located my wife and daughter and promptly left the park we were going to stay for the fireworks, but did not want to trust our safety to the people who allowed this to go on during the day. We no longer felt it was a safe option for us.On the way home we called six flags customer service. We request a refund for our food meal plan and our season passes, because this was the final straw we were not coming back. We were told that since we already used our passes we no longer could be refunded the price of the tickets. So in the end we ended up spending $600 for a horrible experience, bad food, and tickets to an impromptu WWE royal rumble. read more

However once purchase the meal pass and the season sport drinks , can go to six flag as often as you like and not have to worry about meals or drinks. I had the craziest experience at Hurricane Harbor today. This is going to be hard to believe but, sadly, all true. First, I tried to purchase tickets online. I could not get the checkout to work so, I figure I will just get tickets there. No can do. ??? You must get tickets on line or pay about double. (you are forced to wait on yourself) So, I scan the QR code and try on my phone. Once again, I can not get the tickets to check out. So I go to the ticket window. Peggy tried to help. She finally used her personal cell phone and my credit card to get the meal tickets and drink pass and charged my credit card. (Crazy) It took forever so she gave us free passes to get in. So,....we go to the food booth to get our drink cups. This nasty girl fussed around trying to scan my codes on my phone and then told me they would not work. Would I please go to guest services. (Crazy) So I do and the nice lady there fiddles around for a while and gives up. She gives me the drink cups and two 20 dollar food vouchers. So (yes, it does get worse) I go to use my food vouchers and the nasty girl tells me she does not know how to use the food vouchers. ( looks at me like it is MY problem) I hold my ground and after going for help she is able to use one of my food vouchers but says the second one will not work. Unbelievable! I just pay the balance with my credit card. Yes, it gets worse. Later in the day I order a pretzel and pay with my credit card. (didn't have the stomach to try the food vouchers) When I got my receipt, I was charged a 2.18 tip. FOR HANDING ME A 10. PRETZEL! I just had to draw the line on that! Said I would NOT pay it. She did not know what to do. Finally she refunded my Cheese sauce (was the price of the tip) All day long I was rubbing shoulders with guests having similar experiences. This crazy system does not work! There is NO service and no one cares! Never saw a manager all day. There was no one in charge of this mess. Young people, if you do not want to deal with the public, there are jobs that do not require that you do so. In this case, without the public, you do NOT have a job. The only attraction I was interested in was the lazy river and it was closed. The shower room was about what you would expect at a run down campground- no toilet paper, only one shower was working, no shower curtain, no hook to place your towel etc. No shade unless you were willing to pay 30-150 dollars for it. I am surprised you did not charge me for breathing your air. I think my grandson had fun on the water slides but, I would stay away from this one. read more

If you've ever been to Six Flags or Disney World/Land or your local fair during the summer, you know what to expect. Rides, overpriced food and drinks, and long lines. The Six Flags in Missouri is no different. The amount of rides and activities is more than enough to fill an afternoon. You can wander around all day and find new rides to scream on without having to repeat rides. You'll find rides for all ages and all types of adrenaline rushes. If slow and steady is your cup of tea, they have those. If high thrills are more your thing, they offer a lot of those as well. On this particular day, it was warm and I was half awake after an afternoon of driving and working the previous night. We stopped at Fuddrucker's beforehand to get food, knowing the high prices at Six Flags. That was enough to fill and fuel us for our adrenaline-filled afternoon of roller coaster rides. We rode rides, played some carnival games and had a good time. It feels weird writing a short blog for such a massive place. The Batman ride here will give you serious whiplash and I am not kidding about that. After we all rode it, we all felt dizzy, light-headed and needing to sit down to regain our balance and focus on the world. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this Six Flags or any Six Flags. Usually, you can find a good deal on tickets, which you should totally take advantage of. Also, keep in mind that you have to pay to park. It's about $20 to park, so keep that in mind. The costs can and do add up. As for having photos attached to this blog... I have no idea why I didn't take any photos during my time here. I snapped this one terrible selfie with my friends and that was it. You can see some great pictures via google or social media. Even with all that in mind, you can't go wrong after a day at Six Flags. The smells of the food being pumped through the park... the adrenaline from riding wild rides... the pictures with famous cartoon characters. Today, June 27, 2025 a group of us (4 adults and 7 kids) went to Six Flags. After riding rides from 11:00 until 1:45 we decided to stop for lunch. Unfortunately, one of the girls in our group was overheated and almost passed out. We moved her to a shady spot. One of the Six Flags employees working in a concession stand saw what was going on and she quickly gave us a cup of cold water. I asked her for a cup of Coke to get some sugar/more fluids in her and she graciously gave that to us in a very quick manner. Her name was Tomoy! She was so kind to help us and I commend her quick actions when she saw what was happening! She was AWESOME!! Also, I felt that all the employees we encountered were very nice, respectful, and kind! Great work Six Flags....we will be going back!! P.S. Please give Tomoy a raise! Hopefully she will consider Nursing as a profession! read more

Six Flags St Louis is well known for being one of the first Six Flags parks, and having moved from California (good f*cking riddance to that piece of sh*t state. When you're governor f*cking LAUGHS at a child who can't get medical help during COVID while you're having MASKLESS DINNERS WITH YOUR FRIENDS. YOU'RE A F*CKING PSYCHO. GET THE F*CK OUT OF OFFICE) It's now my home Six Flags Park! ANYWAYS, Six Flags St. Louis is a fairly standard park. It was also the last Six Flags park I got to visit before Six Flags merged with Cedar Fair (and began the great coaster genocide). However, I had a really good time here. While this isn't the BEST Six Flags Park I've visited, it's also not the worst either. In terms of coasters, this park is.... well.... interesting. Now, their best ride is hands down Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast! Not only is this the best coaster that premier rides has made that I've ridden, it's one of my favorite launched coasters of all time! The laterals on that ride are so f*cking strong it it makes you feel tired. Aside from that, you have a Batman The Ride clone. I've ridden the one at SFMM so I already knew what to expect going into this one. And yeah, this gave me a GREAT reminder as to why I like Batman clones so much! :). They have a GCI called America Thunder which, don't get me wrong, it's a very fun ride. But the lack of airtime and rather tame layout puts it at the bottom of my GCI rankings. Other than that, they have a fun arrow mine train, a gerstlaur spinning coaster (awesome ride), and a cute kiddy coaster called Rookie Racer. So why do I say their lineup is interesting? Well, they have four coasters that are F*CKING AWFUL. THREE OF THEM ARE IN MY BOTTOM 10 COASTERS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD (and I've ridden over 180 of them). Screamin Eagle is the one that's not in my bottom 10 since it has good airtime and strong laterals. But it's so unfathomably rough, some of the most brutal jackhammering I've ever experienced. There's Ninja which, don't get me wrong, is NOT a good ride. But I felt like its awfulness was very overhyped as while yeah, it sucked, I can think of plenty of rides that suck more. Cuz the layout is fun, it's just the transitions and sidewinder that are so rough they kill the ride. Boomerang was even worse since 1) It's a boomerang, these rides suck. 2) It runs with arrow dynamics trains, these don't track well on Vekoma Track. 3) IT WAS RELOCATED FROM ANOTHER PARK. So yeah, Not a fan. Then you have Boss. Which, some enthusiasts LOVE this ride. But I'm so sorry, this coaster was just not it for me. Not only was the pacing of this ride atrocious as whenever it gained any sort of speed, it slowed down to a CRAWL whenever it hit a big hill. But the unpadded gerstauer trains and the roughness make this ride so miserable. It's currently in my bottom 3 coasters. It is a HORRIBLE Ride that desperately either needs to be RMCd or re-tracked PRONTO (and just to be clear, I LOVE other CCI rides like Legend Raven and GhostRider. All of those rides slap and are in my top 25 or higher). As for flat rides. This park has a good chunk of them. Sadly, two of their best rides (Excalibur and Superman) both got removed before I could ride then. But they still have a Huss Booster known as Catwoman (which was sadly closed, but I've ridden clones of it so I know they're awesome rides). They also have Joker, which is a crazanity clone. While this didn't exist when I was last at the park, I can confirm that it's a great ride, as, I rode its clone before. They also have a starflier (Awesome ride), a zamperla disko (Trash), a larson super loop (GIGA TRASH), a ferris wheel (That I hate. Not only because it was closed when I went. But it's named COLOSSUS. Stop making me miss SFMM my life is depressing enough as it is). They also have an intamin rapids ride (Was closed, but it looked like it had a fun layout.) and a log ride (I'm sure it would've been fun to ride, Just didn't bother). This is also one of the few Six Flags parks to have a dark ride. Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. Very fun ride. Although, I wish they brought the 3D back. Makes it way better. So yeah, Six Flags St Louis isn't (OMG THE BEST PARK EVER), but it's still a very fun park that I had a good time at! It's not the BEST park ever and it doesn't hold a candle to Silver Dollar City (AMAZING PARK BTW, SO GLAD I LIVE 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM THERE). I'm not gonna visit it more than once a year since, I live 3 hours away. But it's still my home Six Flags Park and I'm still looking forward to visiting it again. Yeah they have some bad rides here and there (which, hopefully, Ninja and Boomerang get the axe. Boss and Screamin Eagle can stay as both of them could legitimately become great with the ride investment. Seriously, Richard Zimmerman, do not even THINK about removing Mr. Freeze before you touch those rides). But they still have a few great ones, ESPECIALLY MR. FREEZE. So give it a visit! read more

Went to Six Flags today for the first time in over 10 years. It was so clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. We never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride and some were only 5-10 minutes. Reminisced all the great memories from childhood and taking my own kids there. Parking was a breeze. I bought season passes for a family of six and went to the park for the first time in over 15 years. The park is dilapidated, no security except for the entrance, feared for my life on some of the older attractions, looks like they haven't seen paint or maintenance since 1978 and in a sad state of disrepair. I bought a daily food pass that didn't work and asked for a refund and was told it would take 2 weeks??? We waited in line for 40+ minutes just for us to be the next ones on the ride for them to be out of service and have no estimated time for when we could get on. There was also an incident where someone threw up on the ride, I get that is uncontrollable, however it took them atleast 25 minutes to clean it up and there was one singular guy cleaning up the mess, the other staff was no help. I get these instances occur with it being an amusement park,however I am a pass holder so I am annually giving money to be disappointed by these situations. read more

August 2020 COVID visit. Came on a Friday. Plenty of parking. Everyone has to be screened for their temperature when you walk in. It's thermal, so you just walk thru and the body scanner will get your temp. We arrived around 1130A inside of the park. There was roughly NO wait times for any of the rides. At the most, we waited 5 minutes to get on a roller coaster. The BOSS was the BEST wooden and overall coaster there!!! PLENTY of Hand sanitizer pumps located on site. You must put your larger belongings in a locker ($1 for 2 hours) or you can't get on the rides. Food prices were ridiculous for basic food but oh well. Also, the park is only only from Wednesday to Sunday and the Harbor place (pool area) just opened on Saturday. read more

Six flags in December was a blast. Wish more rides would be available however I really enjoyed the shows. It was a very chilly evening and nothin was more delicious than the hot coco and s'mores. Six Flags has been a staple for the summer. If you plan to go throughout the year (including Fright Fest), don't sleep on the season pass! If you even go twice, it's worth its value. We have speedy parking, which is also a value. The drink cup ($35) makes it worth it when you fill it up at least twice a visit and share with your toddler each time. So far, a cloudy day during the week has given us barely any lines and some pretty incredible memories. Worried about printing things in? I recommend a belt purse with essentials and your cup attached to it, as well as a waterproof carrier for your phone! Keep in mind, it is HOT in the park. I will never visit another Six Flags again after my experience here. First, parking was $40 which is an INSANE amount. We visited mainly for the character interactions. We were greeted by porky pig as soon as we entered the park. They said more characters would visit later. I went to guest services, asked multiple employees, and even asked the person who was with porky when he came out again. They said another one would come out at 3. We came back at that time and it was just the same character. They said that would be it for the day. Bugs bunny didn't even come out. We were so disappointed since that was the main reason for our visit. Why would they advertise these characters but it have them out and about? The employees knew nothing about the park or what was going on. The food is incredibly expensive. It was $17 for a slice of cheese pizza, $9 for soft serve ice cream, and $10 for a grande Starbucks. They also have signs announcing an added surcharge to all purchases to cover labor. They are literally telling you they're charging more "just because". How do families afford to eat here?! I have never seen food prices that high, even at Disney world. Also, I do not support cashless businesses. It's ridiculous. The water park was a separate charge to get in, which is something we've never heard of. We didn't even get to go because of the weather. I stood in the guest services line to see about a refund but it was so slow moving and previously unhelpful, I left. I just can't believe what a cash grab six flags is. It is not family friendly and was overpriced in so many ways. We frequent our local amusement park (a former six flags before they couldn't manage it anymore) and Disney often and this was the worst theme park experience I've ever had. There's so many other things to do in St. Louis. I'd take my kids anywhere but here next time. read more

Ugh, I knew there was a reason I had not been to a Six Flags since I was about 17. I grew up in Texas (with the OG Six Flags and multiple others) so the memories of dripping sweat while standing in line for the newest roller coaster hoping the "guy friend" that came in our group is interested in me- are still fresh. I have experienced great excitement in experiencing the Ohio amusement parks and Dollywood, since they were all compared with Texas Six Flags. That said, I got suckered into trying my newest hometown amusement park ON OPENING NIGHT OF FRIGHT NIGHT. I wish a zombie had scared me right out of the damn park. Just getting in took almost an hour. The prices. THE PRICES. My goodness, I cannot believe how expensive these places are. My friends have some VVVIP season passes so we got in for free but the haunted house "add on" was $98 for two people. You read that right. Hell no. $25 just to park in a concrete lot. We ended up being able to get into the haunted houses anyway because, guess what? they didn't even check for wrist bands. That goes to show that the cost of one more person through the haunted house costs them absolutely nothing. Yet they charge $50! We were able to ride two rides (one with a Skip The Line) and go through three haunted houses in 6 hours. What a nightmare. Every drink station was out of ice. Food and concession lines were 20+ min at each. I already mentioned the damned prices. The patrons here are a step below the Dave and Buster's crowd and the average age is a good hormonal 15 years old. Don't get me started on the "Handicapped Pass"! read more

went on a nice summer afternoon. the first 6 rides i walked to in a row had been closed for the day. over all 13 rides were shut for the afternoon. lame. i hope they close this shit hole soon. rides closed on august 13th 2025 - american thunder, log flume, thunder river, boss, screaming eagle, joker, catwomen whip, ninja, fireball, boomerrang, mine train, batman and mr freeze. thats13 rides all shut down at same time for the 4 hours i stuck around....lame! read more

I don't even know where to begin but this job was the absolute worst job I've ever had. At first, I thought it would be fun, interesting, rewarding and professional but it was the opposite. I'm so disappointed. Me and 2 other trainees were in training for over 2 months and that wasn't even the end of it! There was still more training left to do and no guarantee that you'd be on your own making shoplifting stops. Don't waste my time for almost 3 months if you don't trust me to be on my own after all this training. It's ridiculous. The trainers who take you out into the park have you observe shoppers with them but they worry about what other employees are doing instead of going into the stores to watch for theft. It made me mad to see my 2 trainers taking photos of other employees and even zooming in to take a photo of what the employee was doing even though they weren't doing anything terribly wrong. So what if they're on the phone for a bit or have an ice cream bar! Who cares? It's not your job to snitch on everyone. Be careful working here. You will most likely be talked about and snitched on by the loss prevention team even though it's not their business. And then one of my trainers told me and the other 2 trainees that it doesn't count as a theft stop on our own if we don't follow the rules exactly and perfectly to a T. How are we ever supposed to be released on our own if you're babying us and stepping in and taking over when I'm stopping a shoplifter and then you say it doesn't count because my trainer stepped in? That's not my fault. That's hers. They literally make it impossible to grow and be on your own in the field with all their little perfectionism rules and you know what. Then they say they have to "investigate" an employee who may have taken a Dip N Dots without paying for it. The so called supervisor kept telling the 16 year old employee, "we have to investigate, we have to do an investigation, we have to do an investigation....blah blah blah, like this 16 year old cares or even understands what nonsense you're saying. You're not detectives people! It's a friggen Dip N Dots! These people are looney and crazy! They make this out to be way more than it is and that's the truth. Grow up people. Don't ban a 16 year old from the park for a year, plus fire them over a friggen Dip N Dots. Suspend him for a little bit yeah but you really need to do a whole investigation like this is a murder? Come on now. I cannot believe I ever took this position. No wonder people get aggravated with the LP department. They literally look at every guest who checks out the jewelry section as if they're going to steal. Sorry but I'm not one to make assumptions and put certain people or groups in a category. I'm also not a snitch. I literally can't stand these people who have their heads up their own you know what and treat the employees like total trash. DO NOT WORK HERE OR SEND YOUR CHILD TO WORK HERE.
