I've driven by this most of my life when it was known as Whitewater Bay but it was a free entry ticket from OBI after blood donation that finally got me inside. Went with my son and figured paying for an additional ticket wouldn't be bad. Bought his ticket online the day before which came out to $42.35. This was pricier than I'd expect but not certainly not terrible. Showed up to the park and was greeted by a mandatory $30 parking sign which increased cost to $72.35 before we even got inside. Price gouging at its finest - they have a single large State Fair style parking lot with no obvious need to charge for it. I'm a planner and trying to figure out what to expect for my visit beforehand was not easy. Both Yelp and Google were filled with negative reviews that left me with apprehension. I went through the Six Flags website for about 30 minutes which was hit and miss in terms of helpfulness. The most helpful thing ultimately was ultimately the park map(https://static.sixflags.com/website/files/wwb_park-map.pdf) which included minimum height requirements for each ride which gave me a rough idea which rides my son could do. For reference, he recently learned how to to swim and hadn't been to a water park of this magnitude before. Unhelpful things from the website were that several rides were listed as "closed for the season" which were open in actuality. I'm going to divide the rest of the review into brief sections to help address some of the things that I found out that were NOT clear beforehand from the existing reviews. Lockers - they are not available at the front entrance. As many reviews note, there is minimal interaction from the front staff. You scan your tickets, then go through a gift shop and afterwards are the lockers. You sign in and pay through an automated separate system for lockers. I did NOT get a locker because I was luckily able to snag a vacant beach chair(not an easy feat) AND I did not have any valuables apart from my car keys. I gambled on leaving my wallet in the car with the hopes that I could use Apple Pay from my phone for concessions and ended up being correct. I kept my phone around my neck in a waterproof case for pictures the whole time. Shoes - ground is hot and rough in certain spots as advertised. Having kids wear water shoes is ideal. Personally, I wore slip on sandals between rides and took them off at the entrances. There's no dedicated place for them necessarily but it was common practice throughout the park. Splashwater Island - our starting point and the mildest attraction, ideal for the youngest of kids. Castaway Creek - lazy river around Splashwater Island, has multiple entrances and the current is just right. Tubes are available for purchase to float with but not necessary in my opinion as there's plenty of vacant ones in the pool or that are offered up by others who leave. Hurricane Bay - large pool with graduated depth that alternates between still and simulated hurricane waves which was a lot of fun. Spent the majority of our time here. The Big Kahuna - family friendly tame ride. It was about a 30 minute wait in line but perks are that it's shaded and small flights of zig-zag stairs to the top which means you're moving fairly often and made the wait tolerable for my son. Officially states that 3 passengers were required but this was not enforced. Overall, in a vacuum I'd rate the water attractions in the 4-5 star range but the aforementioned uncertainties of my experience and pricing that drop them down to 3 stars which is still is a relative improvement to their overall Yelp rating lol. We just scratched the surface in terms what we covered in the 3 hours we spent there. There's a lot more rides to potentially experience in the future; however, I'd likely only come back if I scored multiple free tickets and just had to pay for parking. read more

First we were in our reserved parking and this lady came up and started yelling at us for no reason, there was so much PDA me and my kids were very disappointed at how much nasty things were done, security started yelling at us for disrespecting other guests which we hadn't even talked to anyone and they told us to watch the attitude which is not their place first of all, we paid for all day passes and only got to use them once and nothing was done about it and I brought it up multiple times, there were at least 4 slides closed off all day, the life guards are very rude and disrespectful, and ever time our meal passes didn't work they were very rude about it,the food is very over priced for the quality and also for how much we already had to pay for the passes. The guests were also rude and people were splashing and being rough in the lazy river and no one said anything but we sat at the latter for 2 minutes and got yelled at. DO BETTER! read more

I had a decent first experience at this Six Flags water park as far as their attractions go. Easy and quick entry at front gate. Nearly every seat was taken and we managed to find one spot semi-covered with sun (which is a score in this scenario). As you would expect, lines can be long and painstaking, and took 15-40 minutes each. Pools were about as good as they could be for a place this size, and not terribly foggy. Attractions- Again all rides had lines that were at least 15 minutes. We liked the lazy river, but nearly impossible to get a tube so we floated around on the lifejackets. My personal favorites were Twister Typhoon and Pipeline Wave which both had pretty long lines. Nearly half of the rides were shut down when we were there so we did what we could. The Wahoo Racers were also fun and the lifeguard working it was having fun as well. We also did the Banzai Pipeline not knowing it was for kids, but went super fast down it. Other than lines we had fun on most of the rides. Staffing- When first entering, the lady scanning my tickets gave me a dirty look and did not say a single word to me or gave me the okay when they went through successfully. Some of the lifeguards were talking behind some of the customers backs about the line for the Typhoon Twister and Pipeline Wave about how they were being stupid about it. Many of the workers did not want to be there which is understandable. I was once a lifeguard and the hours are long and stressful, but talking about customers in front of other customers can leave them with a sour taste. Also half of the rides were closed, not sure if that is for maintaining or staffing issues. Pricing- We got 2 single day tickets for $38 each, coming out to $98!!!! After tax and $12 "processing fee", we almost didn't go. Don't forget about the extra $20 for parking! If we lived closer I would consider getting a summer pass at that price. As for food, we read reviews that someone paid $15 for a cold hot dog so we got food before and brought water. Locker rentals were also $15+. Park suggestions- As many others have mentioned - maybe this park could invest in some turf pads or something cooler than concrete while either walking around or waiting in line. Many people, including us, took our shoes to whatever we were doing and leaving them at the entrance. Another suggestion would be to widen the stairs or separate the lines for some of the rides, especially Typhoon Twister and Pipeline Wave. Last thing is to hire more lifeguards and/or pay for training because it is a disappointment to see all of the slides and not be able to go down them. read more

First, we have been pass holders since 2019 so obviously we enjoy going to the park. However, food prices continue to increase and it's mediocre. Also, food lines stay long bc they can't keep up with the demand meaning people are standing in line for 30/45 minutes at least just waiting on 3 chicken strips or disappointment burgers abs fries. My favorite thing is the lazy river however there are barely any tubes and for some reason they have changed from single person tubes to only having double tubes. Since six flags took over there is no longer tube rental and they got rid of events, such as the dive in movie. They also no longer do the bring a friend passes and tickets, even with the pass holder discount are still about $40, a SUBSTANTIAL increase from whitewater for the same park. No outside food or drink, which is fine, however they used to have an area you could bring coolers and now that has been closed as well. Fair warning, I haven't been here in YEARS. But since yesterday was 110 degrees, we decided to go to a water park since it was going to be blazing hot. They had a promo online for buy 2 tickets get the 3rd free! So of course we took advantage of it. We got there pretty early, like 11:10AM and lines were moving! So we got in fast. We got a locker, which didn't work and we had to tell a worker to get us another one, so be aware of that. And then tried to find a chair to leave our shoes and towels. Most of the shaded areas were already taken and the seats under a cabana were "reserved seating." We got lucky and chose a chair by the lifejackets where you can enter to the lazy river. The lazy river was nice, seems like they had some inflatables floating around. It was 4 feet so it wasn't too deep. I did wish it was wider because depending on how the inflatable is, it can almost take up the whole space leaving people trapped behind you. The wave pool was fun! Went up to 9 feet before they blocked it off. I highly recommend a life jacket to help keep y'all floating in the middle! In the middle of the 9 ft area was where it was pretty empty. Everyone hangs near the walls. Honestly once the waves start, I feel like the walls are more rough because they get slapped by water and slap it back on ya. The rides were fun too. There is a WEIGHT LIMIT THOUGH!! 250 POUNDS FOR A SINGLE RIDER OR 400 POUNDS FOR 2 RIDERS. SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND BECAUSE MY PLUS SIZE SELF BARELY MADE IT. Here are my recommendations if you're planning to go. Bring water shoes because this park has no shade. Straight up frying your feet when you're walking around. I felt the blisters forming on my feet later in the day. Bring sunglasses or a hat! It's so freaking bright that it hurts to open your eyes. Lastly, if you know you're going to buy food there go buy their refillable cups first thing so you can drink it all day. Here are some ideas I wish the park can change. Some fake grass or something to help their customers walk around without frying their feet. Y'all already ain't got no shade, so we all burning. Fix all the soda machines! We bought a cup from a station yesterday and they told us their soda machine was empty! So we had to stand in line somewhere else just to fill it up! Overall, I'm comparing this water park to some that I have been to in the past. It's obviously not the best place I've been to because other places had a bunch of trees, giving shade. Love this park(frontier city). It's not too big. Right now it's too hot to stand in any lines tho ( July) Hurricane harbor I love , also. It's small enough to find my grandson when I'm too tired of climbing the , 62ft high stairs. I was wishing for a line so I didn't have to keep going. I was surprised how busy it was for a weekday(Monday end of June,) they run out of lounge chairs fast. I don't think it's right to hog up all the chairs and not even use them. I had to go back out to my car to put my things up. There was no where to put them unless I paid for a locker. Oh and beer (tall can) cost $15 for one. $9 for a bottle of water. Can't bring any food or drinks in. I liked it when they had the cooler storage . It's a nice place besides how much everything cost. I think it was $16 or $18 for a funnel cake. $9 for small dipping dots. We eat before we go and bring an ice chest with drinks for ride home. read more

3 stars for Hurricane Harbour as follows: 3 - rides/staff/atmosphere 0 - food and concessions We arrived at 11:00 when the park opened to reserve some loungers in the small toddler/children's area. It was a bit of a walk but I appreciate the design to get to that area - seems like it has safety/containment at the forefront. So if you have toddlers or small children that are runners, that area is perfect! We ventured on the lazy River which we enjoyed, occasionally a gaggle of teens would float/splash by but it was mostly peaceful. The food was the worst amusement park food I've ever had - extremely overpriced. $11.99 for a cold hot dog and dry old French fries, 4.99 for a bottle of water. My daughter took her 3 girls to Hurricane Harbor. It was a very bad experience as far as cost. She had not been there in ages so when they told her the admittance price she thought it was awfully steep but paid it. What else could she do-- disappoint her girls? Later she looked online and tickets were $25 less for each ticket. She went back up to the ticket booth and asked why they had not told her that she could have saved a considerable amount by going online( in her case $100.00). Here is the absolutely ridiculous part. They told her they were not allowed to tell people that bit of information. WHAT!!! So as a business it makes sense to alienate your customers and make them feel like you are taking advantage of them . That sounds really smart to me. Only giving a star because I have to give something.I got tickets online to take my kids,niece and nephew back in June. I didn't know at the time that I bought tickets that my niece and nephew had passes already so when I asked guest services that day if I could use their tickets another day the girl told me yes and even went as far to tell me to screen shoot them on my phone so I don't lose them. So I thought great that was fine we'll come before summer is over.I would have found someone else to use them that day had she said they needed to be used that day! Later on talking to others I'm told you have to use them that day so I message online guest relations to verify. I literally, this evening in August over a month later!!! get a response finally! Then first off they are talking about season passes being able to be used all season and I have to multiple times email back clarify saying NO it's single day tickets! Needless to say the girl lied about us being able to use them another time! So when it was all said and done someone who spends that much $ at a waterpark and their employees can't even do their job and lie to customers I'm just disgusted. I'm giving Six Flags hurricane Harbor four stars for one reason. They actually do listen to their customers. I was told that if I spoke with corporate, my concerns would be dealt with. Believe it or not, that's exactly what happened. They used to have an entire smoking section right next to the kiddie pool and it was overwhelming and completely ridiculous and unnecessary. That has since been dialed back to a very small space where it is virtually unnoticeable. This happened about two months after I gave a written list of complaints to corporate. If you know what you're doing and how to navigate around at Hurricane Harbor, it's actually a very fun place. Yes, it needs to be cleaned up and rebuilt to its former 1980s glory, however if you can get past the Band-Aids in the water, it actually can be a lot of fun. I've been taking my son for the past decade and we use the diamond elite passes. If you don't know what that is, you have no business leaving a review for this water park. read more

Total scam. We asked at the window that we qualified for one of the discounts but when our tickets were rang up the price was the same as the original price. We said that the price online is a lot cheaper but the worker said "oh they charge a transaction fee if you buy it in the six flags website it's cheaper to buy here at the window." We believed them and after purchasing we checked and they totally lied! Once we got in, the first few slides we walked all the way up to the top of the stairs and when we got there, the lifeguard turned us away and said "the slide is closing down." Not sure if it is staffing issues or what, needless to say they shut down rides and say there are staffing issues but still charge full price (even if you qualify for a discount). Do NOT waste your money. We had tickets for free for a family of six - four kids from ages 7-17. We left in an hour. The only thing to do here is water slides and due to a shortage of rafts the lines (for the slides that are open) are long. The wave pool doesn't work and you can only go in to the 4 ft. mark - less than halfway. It's over $20 for one coke. There are no regular swimming pools, so if you don't like slides you have nothing to do. To get a raft, for the lazy River, which is packed because it's one of the few attractions working, you have to RENT one for a crazy amount of money. The water in all attractions, including lazy River and 'wave' pool is filthy. FILTHY. Also interesting that you can't post reviews on G00gle for Hurricane Harbor, it's restricted and has a falsely high rating from before Six Flags took over and it was still White Water Bay! read more

This year has been the worst. Water level is so low that the water cant drain over the filters. So the water is dirty. Like real dirty. The water level at the 5 foot marker in "wave" pool (Theres never any waves) was around 1 foot.. And the employees act as though they truly hate there jobs. And why did they go down to weekends only on August 1st. And dont say its because you cant get help. If thats the problem then pay at a higher rate. Crowded and dirty. The wave pool seemed to be broken or something. It was barely making waves whenever it came on. Seemed like the lifeguards were always telling everyone they had to get out of the pool. I'm not sure why they needed the pool to be empty. After about five or ten minutes they'd let everyone get back in. It was weird. The lines for the concession stand was ridiculously long and slow moving. They don't allow you to bring in your own food and drink so you're required to stand out on the hot pavement and wait in line for over an hour just to get a drink and something to eat. My husband hates bringing the family to amusement parks just for this reason and all this trip did was give him more ammo for reasons why he doesn't want to go again next time. read more

If Water Borne Illness is for you then go to White Water Bay! White Water Bay was a nice experience when it first opened. However the decline, and lack of upkeep is appalling. There are many issues that are contributing to the decline of this park. White Water Bay has loose steps, crumbling concrete, scalding hot sidewalks/steps, and moldy AstroTurf. The paint is peeling, and caulk is loose on some of the slides. On the Bermuda triangle there is a lot of dirt, and I was astonished to see that tree saplings were growing at the top of this attraction. I later jumped off the cliff dive, and when trying to climb the ladder it was loose, and I pulled my shoulder. There was lots of loose bits of debris in lazy river, and the wave pool which included used band-aids. Life Guards were too busy dancing, and pointing fingers to get the garbage out of the water. I remember in the past when you could see staff looking for things in the water, and actually testing water quality. I did not see that this time. An ICEE was $9.99, and Soft Drinks $5.99. Food was horribly expensive too. They know people need to eat and drink, and White Water Bay Gouges you for that. It's sickening. Now my complaints lead on to the general public. This is not directed at everyone because I know that some people try to do the right thing, but there are some that act with no class, or responsibility. Parents seriously need to watch their kids. There was a girl who climbed the locker payment kiosk, and then on top of the lockers. There were kids running rampant through the park without supervision bumping into others. Babies wearing regular diapers. The tables were covered in eaten food, some people spit on the wood platforms leading to the slides. People are pretty selfish leaving their towels on a chair, and abandoning it leaving the disabled, elderly, and the rest of the park visitors without a place to sit just because you don't want to pay money for a locker. I've even read reviews where people were having sex in the lazy river. How disgusting, and ghetto. It's already a cess pool there, and then you have people that contaminate things even more. I doubt I will ever go back. Prices are too extortionate, and the possibility of getting Recreational Water Illness, or any other illnesses is too worrisome for me. read more

So happy we came here. It was really fun and we were already tired after 3 hours. THERE ARE WEIGHT LIMITS! I believe it's 250. And they DO have disclaimers at the bottom of each ride. The disclaimers are on the ride rules board, very large, just read people. This is for YOUR safety. If you weigh more than 250, you can literally fly off of rides. DOUBLE DIPPING! My son has had a membership for years that I pay for each month. He went to the park over the weekend and they told him that he would have to pay an admission fee if he wanted to go in. They told him that I cancelled his membership. I contacted customer service to tell them that we want a refund for the money that he shouldn't have been charged. They said his membership isn't active and that we'll have to make the hour drive to Frontier City to "activate" his membership again before being able to use the benefits that we pay a monthly fee to have. read more

They sub the DD for an ice cup....not the same! There is no where on the app that tells you any of these options so you have no way of knowing until you get there (after you've purchased the pass).
