My friends and I drove 90 minutes to visit OKANA. Unfortunately, the ticket-buying process was…read moreconfusing. The indoor and outdoor waterpark tickets appeared under the same purchasing link, and we believed the $44.99 ticket allowed us to choose either the indoor or outdoor waterpark. We intended to choose the indoor park because that is where the lazy river is, and the temperature outside was nearly 100 degrees. When we arrived, however, we were told that our tickets were valid for the outdoor park only and that indoor access would cost $79.99 per person. Since we only planned to stay for 2 hours, paying nearly $80 each was unreasonable. We asked to speak with a manager but were told that managers do not speak with guests about these concerns and that we had to send an email. I emailed at 12:06 p.m. while we were still at the resort. By 7:42 p.m., I had received no response, despite being told that the managers were there and one would respond quickly. Once outside, we discovered that there was very little complimentary shade. The few regular umbrellas were already taken, while numerous shaded cabanas sat empty. There were also many tables with umbrella sticks but no umbrellas. According to the website, a cabana costs approximately $167 and must be reserved online. Had the admission price remained at the $29.99 rate we saw earlier, we might have considered renting one. However, after the outdoor ticket price increased to more than $40 per person, paying another $167 just to have relief from the sun felt excessive. The lounge chairs inside the adults-only sitting pool did not have umbrellas, so we were essentially baking in direct sunlight. I eventually became faint while walking to get water and felt as though I might pass out. We ultimately had to leave because it was simply too hot to remain outside safely. An employee confirmed that ticket prices change daily. Variable pricing may be part of OKANA's policy, but guests paying an increased price still receive the same outdoor experience: extreme heat, minimal complimentary shade, and no access to the indoor amenities unless they pay more. Watching 20+ cabanas remain empty while guests struggled to find shade made us feel that basic comfort and safety were secondary to generating additional revenue. There were positives. The drinks were really good, we enjoyed the swim-up bar before it became crowded, and the food was served hot, quickly, and tasted good. The staff members we interacted with were pleasant. Those positives are why I am giving two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, they did not make up for the confusing ticket information, insufficient complimentary shade during extreme heat, inability to speak with a manager, and lack of a timely response while we were still on the property. OKANA should consider a inside or outside ticket option especially on extreme heat days and make the difference between indoor and outdoor tickets unmistakably clear by having a separate link as it currently is confusing that you can not choose between indoor or outdoor, provide significantly more complimentary shaded seating, and have a manager available to address time-sensitive guest concerns on-site.

This is a hidden gold mine that not many people know of. It's an amazing way to stay in shape or…read moreget the kiddos out of the house. The kids camp programs are amazing and it really feels like privet lessons from people who know what they are doing. You will get frustrated at the start and if you have never ridden any type of bored I would be careful. The only way you get going in a place like this is having an ok balance and you know how to listen. I praise the operators because they are fun and laid back but know how to teach and do their job. Coal is one of my favorite and he has taught kids that I didn't think had a chance getting around the cable. They are such good people and even though I only see them one week out of the year, they still make the effort to remember me and continue to teach me new things. Kids camp is amazing and it's where I learned everything. It's where you should learn to start because they have the cable slowed down and they make it fee more like a one on one session with each kid there. This place will put strain on your body and will make you feel sore every where. If you have never ridden cable get ready for a full body work out. It is the best way to push your body and the more you do it the stronger you feel. This entire facility is family owned and they make you feel like family. Wether you have a rockstar crazy attitude or a laid back chill one, there is most likely an operator there who you can connect with. The reason I give this place a 4 star is for 2 reasons. The first is the features. There used to be more but over time they were left to rot off to the side where no one can hit them. There is a large group of regulars that would love to see more but it just hasn't happened. Reason 2 is the lack of bordes. The rentals are good but they are old and could use a little bit of work. There are no bordes for sale here witch is weird because no other store in the state sells cable bordes or bindings. These negatives don't take away from a new riders experience though. It's only the experienced riders who are used to mega ramps are 20ft rails who will notice.

I was really looking forward to spending all day here but after one round on the obstacle courses I was unimpressed! Alge filled inflatables, and be careful coming up the metal ladder which has a layer of alge, making it very slippery. Kinda bummed- it has potential but it needs a major re-vamp! We we're thinking about trying the cable boarding with training but after seeing the lack of maintenance it didn't seem like the safest idea!

My oldest goes once a week and can swim across a pool without assistance (just safety monitoring). My two year old can float and roll onto her back, etc. She goes 2 times a week. Here are my opinions and recommendations: The staff are all amazing with kids. I have never had an issue. And my kids have worked with many of the instructors. Love them all. The prices are all online and the company is transparent about their prices. Honestly, though, for being 1:1 with an instructor, I dont think they are that bad. Only thing I would tell a new parent is that your kid will not like their swimming lessons for 1-2 weeks. They will cry. Mine did, a lot. Just give them time to get adjusted. I personally feel that swimming lessons are very important, from a safety standpoint... plus it ends up being fun.

The host had everything circled on the contract so my fellow committee member signed it, then we began setting up. Our rental started 15 mins after the designated time they had us arrive. No one had cleaned, disinfected, mopped or made any effort to prepare for a 7 hr event. At $60 and hour we asked for 2 hrs refund due to having to clean up their mess, & later a water spill from their AC unit in the entry way. Ms. Morgan was rude when I talked with her, knowing the pics I'd sent clearly showed lack of professionalism on her part. We found a huge pile of nasty dead (& a few live bugs) in a corner where the chairs & tables take up space. Also around the room we found that it had not been swept, it certainly hadn't been mopped. Airborne illnesses are still a problem in today's world, so it makes no sense to rent a filthy facility to anyone! We had to cut our event short & clean up since people began to leave. I was so disappointed with all the work we'd put into planning, then to be treated like we just didn't matter. We signed in good faith, believing the place was cleaned, at a minimum. That was not the case.
