The indoor and outdoor waterpark tickets appeared under the same purchasing link, and we believed the $44.99 ticket allowed us to choose either the indoor or outdoor waterpark. We intended to choose the indoor park because that is where the lazy river is, and the temperature outside was nearly 100 degrees. When we arrived, however, we were told that our tickets were valid for the outdoor park only and that indoor access would cost $79.99 per person. Since we only planned to stay for 2 hours, paying nearly $80 each was unreasonable. We asked to speak with a manager but were told that managers do not speak with guests about these concerns and that we had to send an email. I emailed at 12:06 p.m. while we were still at the resort. By 7:42 p.m., I had received no response, despite being told that the managers were there and one would respond quickly. Once outside, we discovered that there was very little complimentary shade. The few regular umbrellas were already taken, while numerous shaded cabanas sat empty. There were also many tables with umbrella sticks but no umbrellas. According to the website, a cabana costs approximately $167 and must be reserved online. Had the admission price remained at the $29.99 rate we saw earlier, we might have considered renting one. However, after the outdoor ticket price increased to more than $40 per person, paying another $167 just to have relief from the sun felt excessive. The lounge chairs inside the adults-only sitting pool did not have umbrellas, so we were essentially baking in direct sunlight. I eventually became faint while walking to get water and felt as though I might pass out. We ultimately had to leave because it was simply too hot to remain outside safely. An employee confirmed that ticket prices change daily. Variable pricing may be part of OKANA's policy, but guests paying an increased price still receive the same outdoor experience: extreme heat, minimal complimentary shade, and no access to the indoor amenities unless they pay more. Watching 20+ cabanas remain empty while guests struggled to find shade made us feel that basic comfort and safety were secondary to generating additional revenue. There were positives. The drinks were really good, we enjoyed the swim-up bar before it became crowded, and the food was served hot, quickly, and tasted good. The staff members we interacted with were pleasant. Those positives are why I am giving two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, they did not make up for the confusing ticket information, insufficient complimentary shade during extreme heat, inability to speak with a manager, and lack of a timely response while we were still on the property. OKANA should consider a inside or outside ticket option especially on extreme heat days and make the difference between indoor and outdoor tickets unmistakably clear by having a separate link as it currently is confusing that you can not choose between indoor or outdoor, provide significantly more complimentary shaded seating, and have a manager available to address time-sensitive guest concerns on-site.

I brought it back and explained the issue, only to be met with looks and attitudes as if I was making it up. They took the corn dog from me and put it in the microwave to heat it up. I'm sorry, but who would have thought that a $3 corn dog was being cooked in a microwave instead of being properly fried? What a waste of money. I went back later to get some ice cream and, once again, had to deal with the same kind of attitude. When I went to pay, the employee looked at me and told me they were out of quarters. Seriously? How does a concession stand run out of quarters? The food quality and customer service were both extremely disappointing. I understand that everyone has bad days, but customers should not have to deal with rude attitudes simply because they are asking for the food they paid for to be served properly.

There are a few covered picnic tables in the splash pad area and then a pavilion with mor picnic tables by the playground for larger groups. There were easily 20 kids at the splash pad and it didn't feel crowded. The bucket that dumps is big and dumps fairly often. The kids love being under it when it goes dumps. There are several other assorted sprinklers and a couple other much smaller buckets too. So much for me and the kids to do we were there for a few hours.

Went with my son and figured paying for an additional ticket wouldn't be bad. Bought his ticket online the day before which came out to $42.35. This was pricier than I'd expect but not certainly not terrible. Showed up to the park and was greeted by a mandatory $30 parking sign which increased cost to $72.35 before we even got inside. Price gouging at its finest - they have a single large State Fair style parking lot with no obvious need to charge for it. I'm a planner and trying to figure out what to expect for my visit beforehand was not easy. Both Yelp and Google were filled with negative reviews that left me with apprehension. I went through the Six Flags website for about 30 minutes which was hit and miss in terms of helpfulness. The most helpful thing ultimately was ultimately the park map(https://static.sixflags.com/website/files/wwb_park-map.pdf) which included minimum height requirements for each ride which gave me a rough idea which rides my son could do. For reference, he recently learned how to to swim and hadn't been to a water park of this magnitude before. Unhelpful things from the website were that several rides were listed as "closed for the season" which were open in actuality. I'm going to divide the rest of the review into brief sections to help address some of the things that I found out that were NOT clear beforehand from the existing reviews. Lockers - they are not available at the front entrance. As many reviews note, there is minimal interaction from the front staff. You scan your tickets, then go through a gift shop and afterwards are the lockers. You sign in and pay through an automated separate system for lockers. I did NOT get a locker because I was luckily able to snag a vacant beach chair(not an easy feat) AND I did not have any valuables apart from my car keys. I gambled on leaving my wallet in the car with the hopes that I could use Apple Pay from my phone for concessions and ended up being correct. I kept my phone around my neck in a waterproof case for pictures the whole time. Shoes - ground is hot and rough in certain spots as advertised. Having kids wear water shoes is ideal. Personally, I wore slip on sandals between rides and took them off at the entrances. There's no dedicated place for them necessarily but it was common practice throughout the park. Splashwater Island - our starting point and the mildest attraction, ideal for the youngest of kids. Castaway Creek - lazy river around Splashwater Island, has multiple entrances and the current is just right. Tubes are available for purchase to float with but not necessary in my opinion as there's plenty of vacant ones in the pool or that are offered up by others who leave. Hurricane Bay - large pool with graduated depth that alternates between still and simulated hurricane waves which was a lot of fun. Spent the majority of our time here. The Big Kahuna - family friendly tame ride. It was about a 30 minute wait in line but perks are that it's shaded and small flights of zig-zag stairs to the top which means you're moving fairly often and made the wait tolerable for my son. Officially states that 3 passengers were required but this was not enforced. Overall, in a vacuum I'd rate the water attractions in the 4-5 star range but the aforementioned uncertainties of my experience and pricing that drop them down to 3 stars which is still is a relative improvement to their overall Yelp rating lol. We just scratched the surface in terms what we covered in the 3 hours we spent there. There's a lot more rides to potentially experience in the future; however, I'd likely only come back if I scored multiple free tickets and just had to pay for parking.
