Avoid at all cost! Booked at 10am but didn't show up until 3pm. Didn't even get any call or text notification until 12pm.

I have never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional, unpleasant and unhelpful company such as…read moreCBD Movers, not only did they drop our TV, not once but twice when we recently got them to move us but now they are not accepting any responsibility and pushed the blame back on us as we didn't report the damage before the movers had left or within 24 hours. The "movers" wrapped our TV and moved it and leant it against the wall, where it stayed until we went to put it up on the wall on Sunday afternoon (they moved us Friday afternoon) and they claim we should of reported straight away. Anyone with kids know that your priority is to get their rooms and toys set up before anything. I urge anyone in Australia to avoid this company and do your research as there are 1000's of reviews and even facebook groups about this business. Please share this far and wide so other people don't get screwed over like we have

CBD Movers were contracted to move our home contents on 7th December 2024. CBD were meant to arrive…read morebetween 7am - 9am, they did not arrive until 11am and did not start until 11:45am. When the team finally started they were careless slow and would not listen to any direction. Packing trucks was at less than 65% capacity. At 2pm having worked 2.25 hours the team leader said the team would break for a 30 minute lunch break. Payment was demanded stating nothing would be moved until payment was made. Clause 7 in contract states clearly ' PAYMENT AT COMPLETION OF JOB TO SHASHI INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD. The team never returned stating there were payment issues and that they could not work due to rain. I paid when it was requested ahead of job being completed contrary to contractual obligations. The rainfall in Chifley on 7 December was less than .4ml I have photos and dates. After approx 2 hours back and forth on the phone with CBD Movers they promised to send another crew the next day to complete the move. I specifically requested a different team with dispatch from 7 December but the same team showed up, again demanding payment for service before they would start, I paid 50% of approx day fee or they would not begin. Team worked 2 hours, broke for lunch and never returned again with no notice, stating only that they could not move our larger potted plants and the larger of our household contents. The CBD movers did not fulfil contractual obligation to move us they were rude and demanded payments that were not due. Large potted plants were in original correspondence and they were hired as there is a clear clause in CBD contract stating the following: Non standard Equipment that can be made available, Heavy Duty trolley for pool table/piano. Movers were notified of plants in booking and again on 7 December. We had to secure other movers to finish job and they had no problems with any items. A move that had previously taken one full day of hard work took 3. I lost wages and had to take time off to finish work CBD Movers were contracted to do and were unable and unprofessional enough to complete. The complaints process was a joke they did not care one bit that my money had been taken and the job had not been done.The worst company I have ever dealt with. I have begun a case with NSW Fair Trading.

To begin with, my furniture was collected in QLD outside the scheduled time, with no prior call or notice despite their team's "reassurance". There was also no proper confirmation of what was collected, and it appears a signature may have been recorded without my clear acknowledgement. Things only got worse with delivery. The original delivery date in VIC was changed multiple times without any proactive communication. I was first told it would arrive 2 days earlier than scheduled, and then the day before that revised date, I had to take urgent annual leave to accommodate. On the actual day, no one contacted me at all. I had to follow up myself, only to be told the delivery was postponed to the following Monday due to a so-called "safety concerns." Had I not called, I would not have been informed. The final delivery ended up being scheduled 3 days later than the agreed contract date. A manager later admitted it was in fact a system error, not the "safety concerns" explanation originally provided. While a 10% partial refund was eventually offered after escalation, the impact had already been significant. I was forced to take three separate days of annual leave, repeatedly explaining the situation to my employer, which understandably reflects poorly on me. Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of communication, accountability, and operational reliability. For a service that is supposed to reduce the stress of moving, this created the exact opposite. The only exception was Rodney Spink, the sales representative, who was the only one to communicate proactively throughout the process.

So much of my belongings arrived destroyed, when I approached the truck driver with my heart felt concerns and with compassion for his own current work schedule and empathy for his current exhaustion levels he was extremely aggressive and had my neighbours come take my daughter for her safety and had my neighbours concerned for me welfare. I tried to approach the company several ways, text, call, email and I was not offered any support, guidance or compensation for not only my destroyed belongings, but for the distress and level of abuse I received from their driver. I was so gentle and understanding of the driver's current state and he was mean, vulgar and extremely reactive. Please do NOT use these guys.....management is of a low level and it's DEFINITELY waterfalled down to their staff on all levels.

We used Crown twice. Once in 2011 for a minor move from London, England to Connecticut and then…read moreagain in 2014 for a major relocation from London, England to Connecticut. Both times they were very expensive. The first time was a good experience, the second time was horrific and I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone. First, they informed of incorrectly of what could be packed and what could not be packed and the material they provided us on this issue was not correct. We ended up with a major problem when we got to the US and it cost us $1,400 to destroy a box! We had EXPLICITLY asked if we could ship some equestrian goods, and they said yes. We could have shipped them with the horse, all of which arrived ok, but we sent some with Crown since they said it was ok and it was very NOT OK. Second, they came to the house and packed everything. Even things marked DO NOT PACK. They packed up all of my Bank Access Cards, right before an international move, even though they were on a desk marked DO NOT TOUCH. If they are packing your house, you must watch them like a hawk. They just wrap up everything and the wrapping was very unprofessional. This is probably why several items arrived broken. When I then tried to claim for over $1,000 in damage they said that we only had 30 days to claim, and we had exceeded that. Amazing, given that it took SIX MONTHS for our goods to arrive (it should take about three max). We had not even unpacked everything when I went to submit the claim still, but I did not want to wait too long. But instead of being reasonable they told us to sod off. Once our stuff was picked up in London they were totally unresponsive and unhelpful. Customer service was terrible. We had little to no communication about when our goods might arrive. Then suddenly they called and said its arriving in two days, right before Thanksgiving - irregardless of our plans. Otherwise we could wait another month they told us. Find another shipper. Don't use Crown.

There is no formal way to complain, emails are not responded to and phone calls are not returned despite that their agent and webpage is full of quality control marketing crap, overall the worse relocation experience we ever had. I honestly would not recommned Crown for even the smallest move.
