I've worked in the trades for 25+ years, and have seen alot of unorganized jobsites and poor leadership. Siteworks Design Build was by far the worst General Contractor I have ever worked with. The employees are hired from temp agencies, and most are just short of mentally handicapped. The company employees are almost equally as incompetent, but they have their own tools. The jobsite was a disaster to say the least. Extension cords all over the job are tangled into a spaghetti mess, and many of the cords have dangerous cuts and slices. OSHA would have a field day just walking through. The work is performed out of sequence, as the brand new flooring goes down before the ceiling is drywalled, before the walls are painted, before anything else happens. There are 10+ lifts and 20 heavy job boxes destroying the brand new floor as all the trades scramble to complete their work in a sloppy and dangerous environment. The superintendent puts alot of pressure on extremely underpaid and desperate temp workers, despite the lack of tools, material, experience, and danger associated with the unorganized jobsite. Workers are expected to work very long hours with no advance notice, and promised pay increases that never happen. When an employee with actual skills is hired, they don't stay very long because skills are in demand and there are plenty of companies that will actually appreciate the employees dedication by rewarding them with fair pay. Companies like this should be eradicated from the workforce because they create such an unhealthy, dangerous, disgruntled work environment that it's only a matter of time before people get seriously injured or worse. If you've ever watched the three stooges at work, imagine that with 30 people on the job and there you have it, Siteworks Design Build. The logo is the antlers of a deer, which that alone should indicate the lack of detail and care, as antlers are irrelevant to construction, designing, or building. A generic logo for a half hearted company that will leave you "hunting" for something better. Your "bucks" will be better spent elsewhere.
Every trade on the job thinks the exact same thing. Poor leadership and lack of direction with high expectations in a dirty and dangerous work environment. If you are looking for a company to design or build your next project, spend a couple extra "bucks" and find a company that is organized. If you're looking for a job, I highly recommend you stay away from Siteworks Design Build, or be subject to unethical manipulation of desperate temp workers. If the company was good, they wouldn't have to hire temp workers they can abuse and throw away, there would be carpenters and laborers beating down their door to get in based on a good reputation of how they treat employees.
