They took a nightmare of a situation and went above and beyond to make it a dream. From the very beginning, Megan and Rachel took on the project with confidence, humor, and professionalism. While Megan and Rachel are wizards at design and listening to client's personal styles, it is important to note that their services go beyond simple aesthetics. They were incredibly involved with the physical design of the space, which included frequent communication with our construction company and subcontractors, ensuring that everything was accomplished according to the plan. This included but was not limited to: designing lighting plans; meticulously designing and measuring cabinetry, and then working with the cabinet maker and subs to ensure a correct fit; swooping in to fix address all the issues, from fixture placements to counter heights to wall lengths. Their attention to detail along the way was truly astounding and their knowledge of home workmanship is unmatched. There was never a problem they couldn't fix or an issue that they couldn't untangle. I know without a doubt that our project would not be as amazing as it is without them. Fox and Fern is an amazing team and I cannot wait until I have another project so I can work with them again. They are the absolute best and would highly recommend their services.

Our experience was overall really disheartening. We began working with Stephanie, Kami's daughter…read moreand were really excited to work together as we were moving to a new place. However, we assumed that Stephanie would provide us with an overview of the process with timelines and what to expect in order to work with our move-in goals. She never provided any sense of targets or timelines, which left us unsure how things worked, when we were supposed to reach out to her, and when we should expect to receive mock ups of designs/options. There was overall really poor communication and we tried to address this. Eventually, at some point, she decided that we were not a good fit as client and designer and even mentioned she had a feeling this would not work the moment she stepped into our home originally. In that case, we wish she would have told us that earlier instead of bringing us on somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster. We later got some very harsh and cold emails from Kami accusing us of sending bad checks, when in reality, our materials had gotten mixed up as we were moving, and would have been able to rectify things if they had communicated properly with us when we first sent over the payments. Honestly, just looking at the way she responds to comments on Yelp (in addition to her communication over email) shows how she lacks professionalism and basic empathy. Perhaps, we just had a bad experience, but I'm honestly not sure if this is a super friendly business for people of color, particularly with a desire to integrate some of their cultural elements into the design, or for people new to the interior design process.

Can't comment on design but she definitely lacks professionalism. Had been in contact with Kami…read morevia email for over a month and never showed up two different times. When she did finally show up was told she would get back to us by email in about a week with more information about the project and never heard back from her. If you're an adult with a business you would think one would have the decency to at least get back to a potential client and let them know she wouldn't be able to work with you. I found her flaky and her actions were adolescent.

She has been extremely patient with my decision making - always finding options that I feel comfortable with. (It's scary when you are a first time buyer- and realize how much it really is to furnish a home). We started off having a bunch of pre calls- where she got the vibe of me and my girlfriend's taste. And let me tell you .... It's not an easy feat when my style is PNW/ midcentury modern and my gf is English country side/ northeast . But we are SOOOOOOO happy. She sent us a doc of exactly what we were looking for- and even did it in phases. Little by little .... Am I right ? My favorite part- she always helps schedule and makes the delivery process up so smooth, I never have to worry about it. She is so responsive and on it. Thank you so much Julia- for making this semi - stressful task .... Fun!

I was referred to Simply Staged NW by a fellow flipper in the Portland Market. We had been using…read moreOn Stage previously, and their prices and inflexibility the past year was getting to be too much. While Simply stage NW's prices are competitive to the market, it's their customer service, attention to detail, and their creative designs that have me using this company for our listings, as well as rehab projects. The owner of the company is the driving force behind why they have been this successful in my opinion. A woman who is dedicated to her craft obsessively. She works long hours to ensure we are taken care of. This is high class staging at an affordable price in my opinion. I certainly hope as this company grows, they maintain that edge by continuing to be affordable. IN addition to staging, I took a chance and had them design my flat. The process took about 2 weeks with constant communication regarding furniture colors, artwork, and even down to kitchen/bathroom decor. Being a newly single dad needed a design that would encompass both a modern feel, but also fluid to feel like home for my son. Once this was all done, she and her team came to my home, assembled the furniture, and removed all the old items. I probably could have sold the other stuff, but the convenience of her team removing was well worth the time it would take me to post the other items online. What impressed me the most was the high level of communication, and their obvious nature to please. There were a few towels I wasn't too thrilled about in the bathrooms, she had new towels replaced within days. Anyway, that was my experience....

I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Lana went above and beyond to ensure that our home looked its best and would appeal to buyers.
