I have unruly Hispanic/Asian mix hair that is thick, and I have a LOT of it. Not the easiest hair to cut. On top of that I've gone in there gettin' crazy and asking for stuff like an a-line bob. I don't know what came over me but fortunately Melissa's got skillz. She took her time cutting my hair, and I know that's at least twice as much time as she spends on the typical customer because of my Medusa issues. She's easy to talk to and goes out of her way to explain things about hair in ways other people who've cut my hair don't (I'm a geek, I like to know why this, why that). She doesn't pressure me to dye, or even say anything about, my white hairs (bless her) like almost every other stylist I've ever had does (damn them all to hell). And she doesn't shame me for not getting a trim every 6-8 weeks. I like that. I like that a lot. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding. My hair. Well there's no pudding in my hair, but yeah. I felt rushed and like my concerns weren't really being listened to, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. Customer service is a big part of any business, and this just didn't meet expectations. I wasn't treated with much respect, and it definitely left a bad impression. I won't be coming back based on this experience.
