The stylist seemed super nice during my appointment and even said she wouldn't be offended if I called to say it wasn't what I hoped it would be. When she started drying my hair, she suggested (because it was so dark) that I use Dawn dish soap to strip the toner out. Please never do this to your hair to get it lighter friends. However, when I called asking for a refund because I paid over $300 for my hair to look pretty much the same, it took a few times of reaching out before the owner got back to me. She wanted me to come in so that she could see what her stylist had done to my hair, which is understandable given that I could be lying about it. I am not a confrontational person and wouldn't even be posting this if I hadn't learned that the stylist lied about what I said I did to my hair. Going in to show someone's manager that they messed up my hair is terrifying for me as someone with severe anxiety. I'd had a bad experience when I first moved here of someone making fun of my hair and accusing me of using henna on it because it was hard to lighten. I know it's a long process to lighten. I had hoped with a two month wait and great reviews on Google that this place would have the experience to handle lightening dark hair. My stylist and I had a consultation right before she started working on my hair. She knew that I had put 3n color on my hair. I spent around 5 hours with her, so during that time we had a lot to talk about. I thanked her for being so nice because the last stylist wasn't kind to me. I shared what he had said to me about using henna on my hair, and how it made me feel embarrassed to be accused of putting a product on my hair I'd never heard of prior and certainly never used. This was partially why I waited a few years to find a stylist, because I was under the impression they were all going to be mean to me. When the owner called me back to discuss options for my hair and I wasn't willing to come in to let her see it (I had made an appointment elsewhere already to get it corrected and felt uneasy going back there) she mentioned the stylist told her I used henna on my hair. I could not believe those words came out of her mouth. Jaw on the floor. The entire time she was trying to get me to come in so she could see my hair, she was under the impression that I had used henna on it. That is actually SO embarrassing. Her twisting this humiliating story that I experienced years ago to say that's what I used on my hair (likely as a way to get her off the hook and blame it on me) is actually the worst part of this whole thing for me. After the call with the owner, I started crying because what I had hoped would be a great experience at my new go-to salon turned into a nightmare. I was able to get a refund for my cut that turned out to be noticeably uneven. Overall, I will say my stylist was nice during the appointment but I am really hurt to know I misjudged someone's character so severely and trusted the wrong person with my hair. I'm so glad I trusted my gut and chose to go somewhere else knowing that she was not honest about my hair. These photos are results from my appointment.

I haven't been a hair loyalist, because I want different things and want someone who knows my hair or is a specialist in what I want. I enjoy results from Lindsey, and she's easy to talk or not talk to, whichever you prefer. She listens to what you want, and executes it well. My advice is to find your person here, and stick with them.

Throughout the appointment, she never checked in with me to see if the haircut was meeting our expectations or if any adjustments were needed. Instead, she simply removed the cape and announced that she was finished. When I expressed concerns about the haircut, the stylist appeared annoyed and literally rolled her eyes before making a quick attempt to fix it. Even after the adjustment, she didn't ask whether it looked better or if we were satisfied. The interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and unprofessional. I understand that miscommunication can happen, but basic customer service and respect should still be part of the experience. After three negative visits, I don't feel confident returning.

The online booking is not user friendly. I attempted to book an appointment for a haircut and to…read moretouch up my roots. I also added a gloss and a K18 treatment. I get there and apparently I booked the wrong thing so we only had 2 hours to do everything. The stylist said she could do just around the crown in that time frame, which is fine. They first wetted down my hair and then added the k18 treatment. It was second day hair and had product already in my hair which lessens effectiveness of the treatment. Previously, the stylists put the treatment on after they dyed my hair and it made a world of difference and ended up buying my own for at home - it was that good; however, I did not see the same result this time around. They then they rushed through my trim. I was never shown the back, but I trusted her because I've had gone there 2 other times with a fantastic experience with 2 other stylists before. Well I get home and my hair is completely uneven. I go back the next day and had to take the day off work just to get it fix. I did look at the back this time and it looked even, but when it fully dried, the same unevenness was there, but it was shorter. I did want it to land in my shoulders and it's a little shorter than that, which would be fine if it were a true blunt cut. The stylists themselves were great, friendly, personable, and probably really skilled, but I'm afraid to go back a third time to try to get it even.. I would post pictures but there doesn't seem to be an option for that here.

She now works at Colour Theory and we had another great experience with her. Sone was so happy to hear from me and be able to cut my girlfriends hair again. She's so nice to talk to and treats you like family. This time my girlfriend went for a cut and full color. Her hair turned out perfect and I'm convinced she should just keep getting it done here and no longer dye it at home. It came out very natural looking and exactly the color she wanted. Sone gave us a very detail overview of what she was going to do and exactly how the color would turn out. She used a very gentle bleach and even did a hair gloss treatment for free. The whole process only took 2 hours from start to finish, which to me seemed really fast. I'm already referring others to see Sone after they saw my girlfriends finished hair.

I told her I wanted a natural brown highlight that maintained my previous color and she made me feel so beautiful by the time we were done!
