Do not buy from this company. If you have an issue with the product you bought they will treat you so bad and customer service does not exist. I payed $4300 for a mattress and adjustable base. The mattress was defective after 3 exchanges I asked for a refund they said no and if my mattress get stained during the exchange I'm stuck with a defective product I payed $4300. They don't care about customer. The customer service representative hung up the phone and yelled at me during our call and this was the supervisor. They literally ripped me off when all I wanted was a great product for my family. I had to file a police report, and the customer service of their delivery company, Maersk. The good people at Maersk informed me they will not contact the police about the report. So if an investigator decides they don't want to contact the company, I'm out of luck. My review will change if Sit n Sleep and Maersk actually help me. Bought a bed with them 2 years ago... Typical sales behavior: great service until they have your money. After that--zero accountability. Today I walked into Sit 'n Sleep - Fullerton and had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, thanks to the store manager Eric Silberman. My mother purchased a mattress for me from this location along with their protection plan. At no point was it clearly explained how critical the mattress protector was, how strict the requirements were, or that a minor issue with the protector could completely void a 10-year warranty. I was never informed that I needed to immediately replace it or return to the store the moment it showed wear. No one explained this--neither at the time of purchase nor afterward. When I came in seeking help, Eric Silberman showed zero interest in resolving the issue. He was dismissive, unhelpful, and repeatedly stated that he "has no power." He refused to escalate the situation, provide contact information for a district or regional manager, or offer any reasonable solution. Essentially, I was told "too bad" after my family spent $1,200 with this company. What's most frustrating is that I also work in sales. I understand policies--but I also understand customer service, accountability, and ownership, all of which were completely absent here. Policies were used as a shield instead of a starting point for problem-solving. This felt less like customer support and more like a company looking for technicalities to avoid honoring their warranty. The lack of empathy, effort, or professionalism from the store manager was shocking. If you're considering buying from this location, understand this: once the sale is done, you're on your own. Be especially cautious dealing with Eric Silberman, who made it very clear that helping customers is not a priority. All I can say is if you're looking for a new mattress, you NEED to come to Sit 'n Sleep to actually try them out. I'm a pretty logical person and searched hours online for reviews on mattresses, but couldn't find anything that was above a 4.3 average rating, because what one person's 5/5 perfect "medium firm" was also someone else's 1/5 "felt like plywood." I looked at Costco.com, youtube, IG, Casper, Novaform and Purple websites...but couldn't decide. Being in my later 30's I wanted to invest on a good quality mattress. My dad suggested Sit 'n Sleep and I'm glad he did. I was surprised when I layed on medium-firm foam mattresses vs. traditional medium-firm spring mattresses, the immediate difference I felt. Foam feels a little harder to get up, like you're sinking and traditonal spring, had more of an ease to get up. It's like Goldilock's and the 3 bears, you have to find just the right one, for you! Ron was soooo helpful, he found me the most perfect mattress. It was within my budget and delivered the next day!!!! I was very impressed with the excellent customer service, but also the knowledge and expertise on types of mattresses. I ended up with the Brooklyn Bedding Craftsman Medium ET Mattress in a Queen Size, 14" height. I had gone another time prior and Robert was also very helpful. I came back a second time and Ron sealed the deal. I've had the best sleep on my new mattress. I also got the most amazing pillow (I'm a side sleeper) and this pillow has elevated the quality of my sleep! It's the King Koil Paradise pillow, these are pricey but worth it! Sit n Sleep can make you dream pretty good at night. I am so embarrassed to admit this but my old mattress was from 1987. I happened to see the tag today. You know the tag that says do not remove. That must be why I sleep like crap. My bed is unique. It's a real bed frame and it was hand carved out of wood from my late Grandfather many many moons ago. It's about 3 feet off the ground too. When he passed away years ago I got their bed. Fast forward a few decades and I decided to replace my mattress. It's about time. Fred saved the day. When we arrived to the shop and he gave me a sleep test. I am a side sleeper and on the tiny weight side. He matched me up with a mattress right in the middle. Not too soft not too hard. Prices are reasonable. Mine was in the mid range. Not cheap but not super expensive. So far so good. My only complaint is I have to help my dog get on the bed, these new mattress are a lot thicker than back in the day. Like magic the bed was delivered the very next day during my allocated time frame. The 2 super delivery heroes carried my old mattress and box Spring down stairs. To be entirely honest, I was holding off on writing this review because for something as impactful as a bed, I wanted to make sure things were feeling great and that the bed felt suitable. Javier (before we knew he was the Store Manager) was incredibly helpful from the moment we entered the store. He was extremely patient and endured our onslaught of unending questions. After a certain point I felt a little guilty spending so much time at the store because most beds began to feel the same, but with his expertise and experience, he was able to guide us to a mattress that my fiancee and I both enjoy. Well, after 2 hours it ended up being the very first bed he showed us, but hey. When you know, you know. Right? After a month-ish, I can say with confidence that I no longer experience the achy, shitty pains I got from my 20-25 year old mattress (surprise). Waking up from a quality mattress rather than settling for some shitty value one is absolutely a huge difference. As a firm believer in "You Get What You Pay For" I hardly ever follow my own advice. However, when it comes to mattresses, you really need to spend the extra money to get what you need and want. After all, we spend such a significant amount of our lives sleeping and recovering for the day's nonsense ahead. Why skimp out on something as crucial as your bed? Getting a good night's rest can really set the pace for the next day. As a former salesperson, I never felt like Javier attempted to upsell us on stuff we didn't need. His opinions and thoughts were honest and genuine. I felt he was well-informed and knowledgeable which allowed us make a good purchase with confidence. Beware of salesman Diego if you decide to purchase here. He is a very typical smooth talking sales man eager to close the sale but lack customer service after the sale. He will lie to you. Make it seem like he is taking care of you but the truth is. He didn't do anything extra. 1. Price at the store is inflated v.s their website. Diego will tell you he has a coupon for $100 off on $1000 purchase. He will take off $100 but in reality it's the same as their website. Nothing extra. 2. We wanted to purchase a mattress cover and he press us to buy the most expensive one. (Company probably pay him a spiff to sell the most expensive one). He didn't give us any option to chose. We fell for his smooth talking. 3. The mattress came in and it was way more softer than the floor model. We went back the next day to exchange. Diego said he will call us on last Saturday to resolve. It's Monday and no return call from him. So he lied about that. 4. He said that there is a exchange fee and he will work to get it removed. I call B.S on that one. The contract itself said one free exchange. So basically, before u buy. Check their website and whatever Diego says. Believe 50% of it. read more
