So, I call and talk to a real nice guy and make an appointment. He gave me a few prices on beds we were interested in. We go in and there's a female sales person. Talked fast and clean like a used car salesmen. I left because I didn't cate for her sales style. Went back, had the guy and I picked my bed. Nope, don't have that one lets up sale you. No, then I want that bed. Oh we can have that delivered Friday. I have a truck and wanted to pick up the mattress myself. They refused. Friday comes, "oh we're sorry we no longer sell that mattress" did the guy forget that he callled his warehouse in front of me to arrange and ensure the mattress was there? So now nobody called and we had no bed. Now I have to go back in and of coarse tried to upsell me. Nope, I want that mattress. I asked to pick it up, nope, must be delivered. I finally got my bed after 3 weeks and yesterday I took the top mattress off their box new box spring. It's CRAP!!! No wonder they wanted to come to my house during a pandemic! So I didn't see the crap they brought! I can use my pinkie and poke holes everywhere. Two inch boards spread one foot apart. Our mattress is all ready sinking into those wide gaps. He did try to up-sell me on a better mattress, gave me a good price, but only needed the cheapest available for this spare bed. Free delivery, they couldn't do same day when I bought it at 5pm :( They did come out the next day. Window was 11-3, they called about 12:30pm to say there were running late, showed up about 3:30. But the delivery guys were so awesome!!!! They pointed out an issue with our bed frame, and waited patiently while we fixed it, and then helped us move the mattress to put the bed skirt on. Even on a return that was hassle free. --OC Mattress Black Rock Medium-- Don't fall for this "cooltek fabric" or "cool touch gel" the mattress retains your heat. On top of that the mattress does nothing to relieve pressure on your pressure points. My wife and I both experience pain/ slight numbness on our hips when we sleep on our side and low back when sleeping face up. Unfortunate. We have Casper and Tuft & Needle foam matresss ( both purchased after visitjng OC mattress) in the other bedrooms that are far more comfortable than this Black Rock. Avoid this one. I unfortunately can not return this after already using up my 1 chance already. In the future I would probably stay towards the temperpedic or the online mattresses I listed above. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I work with Chad from start to finish. He helped me pick out the right mattress for me and did not try to upsell me. Chad also made sure he was giving me a fair price. I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I explained to him that my bed frame wasn't going to arrive until beginning of Feb, so I wasn't sure what size the box spring needed to be. WARNING. DO NOT GO TO THIS MATTRESS STORE. Customer service is really really bad. I usually dont write a lot of reviews, but this store was a must. First: the salesman was constantly telling us "You dont need to buy here if you dont want" the whole time we were there. Like okay I get you. You dont have to repeat that sentence every 5 minutes! If you dont want to give us a discount, fine! We dont need to hear that the whole time we're there. Just because the mattress we were interested in was not that expensive, doesn't mean you can treat your customers that way. He was literally not even treating us like we were customers. VERY RUDE. Even till the end when we were about to pay! I mean why do you have to say that to your customer who is about to pay?! Just sell us the damn thing and so we can leave. I mean is that FALSE ADVERTISEMENT or what? And i tell him "well you should write that its only over 399" and he goes, "well you can find that out online." That does not make any sense to me. If I am passing by a store and see an advertisement like so, then why would i go online to check if it's really free shipping? When I mentioned that it might be false advertisement, this guy got all defensive and started raising his voice on me. Like chill dude I'm just saying. I have seen big advertisement signs with at least small lettering below stating the restrictions, but no not this one. I've never experienced this kind of shady business, ever. The Good - they're local...that's it. The Bad - We thought we were buying a mattress like the comfortable floor model instead when we got it home and removed the plastic wrap we discovered that we received a extremely firm, poorly made, noisy metal rack with very little comfort foam, not like the floor model at all, (Beware!). Unfortunately for customers the restocking fees are a stiff 20%, and I have to question why "the Beast" didn't have that new materials or fabric scent. It Gets Worse - we asked if they would dispose of the "Beast", (yes, it was that bad), if we brought it to them, but they refused to even do that:-( We really wanted to like this store, but I don't understand why the company would treat customers that way especially with high quality, brand name mattress now being sold online with huge discounts.
