All the sit and sleep staff were great from day one . I purchased a Nectar mattress months back after going back and forth trying to decide what to choose in my price range . Yesterday we worked with John Diaz. I let John know up front that I already had a predeal worked up with another salesperson and that I was only in the store to get more info on beds and adjustables; an opening statement that in my past experience has caused a salesperson to back off. Jesus thanked me for being transparent with him and assured that he would still help educate me on beds, frames, adjustable bases, provide his recommendations etc. In the end, I spent about one hour with Jesus. First of all, the sales staff is great and very accommodating. They offered many options/ We chose Nectar and received the same price as the Nectar website but delivery was much quicker. The only issue I had is that the delivery guys scratched my bamboo flooring at the top of the second floor stair case. I don't know why but only one of the guys pushed the mattress up the stairs resulting in the scratch. Other than that I am completely satisfied with the bed and frame. read more

Awesome service. I went in just trying to look for something quick and not to expensive. I met a salesperson by the name of Mike Soqui. He was very polite and was able to help me pick the right mattress for my husband and I. We both took a test and found out that we were similar (mattress firmness). Mike showed us a couple of beds and all the ones we found were not only perfectly matched to our liking but the price was very good. My mother purchased a mattress from this store last weekend from Sleep Consultant Javier Nunez. He went through the entire sales pitch and matched her with an expensive memory foam/tempur-pedic mattress. My mother told Javier that the mattress was too expensive for her to purchase. Javier told my mother that she could purchase the same mattress at a discounted rate. Javier told my mother that the discounted rate applied to certain mattresses that were found in defective packaging. NEVER DID HE EXPLAIN THAT THESE DISCOUNTED MATTRESSES WERE USED PREVIOUSLY BY OTHER INDIVIDUALS. My mother purchased one of these discounted mattresses and to her surprise she received a mattress that was labeled used BUT sanitized. She received this mattress the next day, after she purchased it at the store. I must note that the mattress my mother received was NOT THE SAME as the mattress she tested and chose at the store as it was HORRIBLE QUALITY and it was USED. I must also note that my mother's receipt DID NOT indicate that the discounted mattress she purchased was used. Also, her receipt DID NOT indicate that she was receiving a discounted item. The only thing her receipt DID include was the fact that Sit N Sleep was waiving the "Comfort Trial" warranty. A few days ago, my mother and I went to the store and met with Javier to inquire about exchanging the mattress my mother received because my mother no longer felt comfortable keeping the mattress she received for two main reasons: (1) the mattress was used, AND (2) the mattress did not feel the same as the mattress she tested in the store. Javier told my mother that her mattress did not have the "Comfort Trial" warranty because it was a discounted mattress and therefore, she could not exchange or return it. She was stuck with this mattress. After speaking/arguing with him for a few minutes, he did tell my mother that he would ask the store manager the next day about whether anything could be done. The next day came by, Javier DID NOT call my mother. I felt so bad for my mother because clearly, Javier took advantage of my mother since he DID NOT properly disclose to my mother that the mattress she was purchasing was a USED mattress. I believe, under California Law, he MUST disclose if the mattress he is selling is used. As I mentioned above, my mother's receipt ALSO DID NOT disclose whether the mattress she purchased was USED. Since Javier decided to NOT call my mother, I got in contact with Sit N Sleep's corporate office and I explained the situation to them and told them that Javier was WRONG in every aspect regarding this mattress sold to my mother. He DID NOT disclose that the mattress was used. He DID NOT indicate in the receipt that the mattress was used. He DID NOT follow up with my mother when he told her he would (horrible customer service). Corporate office agreed that the manner in which Javier proceeded was WRONG and "allowed" my mother to exchange her mattress. My mother and I decided to go to ANOTHER Sit N Sleep for this exchange because I didn't want her dealing with Javier. Sit N Sleep NEEDS to retrain some of its sales associates to ensure that they are complying with the law, with company policies and also to ensure they don't take advantage of their clients. Javier NEEDS to ensure that he makes the appropriate disclosures when selling mattresses. In addition, I strongly suggest that Sit N Sleep START disclosing the TYPES of mattresses sold to clients on their receipts. It is RIDICULOUS for their receipts to NOT indicate whether a mattress is USED or NOT as clients do not know what they are purchasing. Their receipts make for very subjective purchases allowing the Sit N Sleep stores to pick and choose which mattresses they will honor under their "Comfort Trial" warranty. This is WRONG. Javier's dealings with my mother and her mattress purchase is an example of this. read more

I knew what I wanted to pay for a mattress and I was determined to stick to my budget! I was shown a couple of mattresses that suited my needs to help me get a good night's sleep. I appreciated the fact that no one laughed at me as I laid down on the mattresses in different positions just to see if these would work for me. After tossing and turning on two different mattresses, I made my decision and purchased a queen size mattress. I really appreciated the fact that she did not try to persuade me to buy something that I wasn't really looking for. This made me feel comfortable enough to return to this location for a second purchase in the near future! I was informed that my mattress would be delivered on Tuesday between 10:45 AM and 2:45 PM but I was surprised to receive a phone call around 9:00. They were actually coming earlier than expected! They showed up at 9:30 AM!!!!! I was elated to have them deliver my mattress ahead of schedule because I didn't have to sit around all day long, waiting for them to show up!
