So many people miss out on socializing their dogs at the critical 8-12 month stages because their pup isn't fully vaccinated, so the fact karma dog school even provides a safe environment for that is great. The socialization is the main component of the class, but you learn a different basic obedience command and tips each class. The training philosophy is positive and effective, and the tips are invaluable. The instructors are knowledgable and clearly love what they do. Even if you're an experienced dog owner, I find the "classroom" setting beneficial for both dog and owner. My dog went in a good boy and walked out the absolute boy. When I contacted Lara the blame was put on me. They said that I must be using the commands wrong. They offered for me to go back so they could reshow me how to command "properly." I did this and still no change. They said it was unreasonable to expect for my dog to be there for 2 weeks and be a newly trained dog. That it was my responsibility to train him the commands that they supposedly taught him. Well then what was my almost $2,000 for? He was becoming a bit of a handful with biting and chewing. A phone call to Lillian and our pup, Ace, was well on his way to becoming a well behaved dog. Lillian even spent the time on our initial call to go over crate training and potty training. On the fist day, Lillian arrived to train Ace. In a matter of less than five minutes she taught Ace to sit! Over the course of a few lessons she taught Ace "Stay", "Down", "Come", "Fetch" and to walk on a leash without tugging. Lillian taught us quite a bit also. Most importantly how to understand why your dog behaves the way it does. If you are having any problems with your pup she will address your issues specifically. Lillian is simply amazing. She has always been available to us via phone or email.
