I ride often and am planning on purchasing a new replacement bike for myself and will certainly buy one from Clemente.

That's the main reason we knocked a star off. It was mostly organized, but there were some shoes misplaced. We picked up a few pairs for my growing grade schoolers. Also, I was sold on the BOGO Adidas sock promo because they were thick and ankle-cut. Highly recommend that you join their "Famously You Rewards" program especially if you have a family. It's free. Members currently are offered "$5 reward cash for every 100 points" plus they get free shipping with no minimum purchase. It's located in a nice plaza in Santa Fe, NM with plenty of parking, but the spaces are tight.

They didn't check the box to make sure the pair matched. I had already worn the shoes as I went out of town and had no other shoes to wear. They were subtle differences, so from afar it was hard to tell. the big difference was that one shoes was lined and the other wasn't. I called earlier this week to inform them of this mistake. Whoever answered the phone told me I could be given a significant discount for BOTH pairs of shoes since I already worn them. The manager insinuated I wanted them for free when I clearly said I was offered a DISCOUNT FOR BOTH PAIRS. she said she'd give me $2 discount for these $140 shoes ($140 each pair). Not only did they not keep their word for their screw up, she charged me the difference for the lined shoes I originally wanted. I asked if they were going to sell the other pair I already wore and she said yes. So, be aware if you're going to purchase a pair of Doc Martens - Embury size 7 as one shoe has already been worn and she's trying to sell them again. I walked a significant amount in them so I don't think it's fair to pay full price for them. I wish I would've looked online for them because I am seeing they under $100 for the same pair on the Official Doc Martens website. I would never ask for a handout but considering their mistake and me expecting them not to sell a used pair of shoes at full price, I thought a discount was more than fair. $2 was insulting and she laughed in my face when she offered it. I used to love famous footwear but this experience completely ruined the store for me.

I can shop at many different places in Santa Fe or Albuquerque. What keeps me coming back to any…read morestore is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Big R is a perfect example of this. I went into the Santa Anna Big R (near Bernallio) to buy a special dog food. The Wholesome foods sensitive stomach is the best food for my Great Dane & German Shepard. Only one the Shepard can keep down. I was truly excited to see Big R carries it & it was on sale, at a great price. I went into store as they opened hopefully to buy the dog food only to find they didn't have it. Here is where the Santa Fe BIG R stepped up to make our day. I spoke with manager "Nathan" who told me he had 5 bags & would transfer them to the store near me in Bernallio. He could have them there this afternoon for me to pickup tomorrow morning. Saving me a trip to Santa Fe, stocking me up for weeks to come, & allowing me to get the bags at the sale price. Nathan's customer service is the reason I will continue to shop Big R.

I had never even heard of Big R before this mess. And my experience with them explains why. So I…read morebought a brand new Husqvarna chainsaw (I received awful service from Husqvarna too and would not recommend their products. If something goes wrong they'll leave you high and dry and stuck dealing with a place like Big R) from Lowe's and it did not run correctly. Lowe's wouldn't take it back because it had been more than 48 hours so I was stuck. So I reached out to Husqvarna and their "customer service" sent me to the local service center, which is big R. So I took the chainsaw to Big R and explained to the cashier what the issue was. Things seem to be going fine, but then he said there would be a service fee. Obviously, I did not feel that was right as this was a brand new chainsaw and if anybody should be paying anything to fix it, it should be Husqvarna. So he called this manager over. This is basically where the whole problem started. From the get-go this manager, Michelle made it very clear she had zero interest in helping or moving the problem forward. All she offered was to make sure I was aware I was gonna be responsible for paying this. She never said anything like "this is what you need to do". It was just "you didn't buy this here so it's not our problem" . So I left thinking I'd take it somewhere else. I reached back out to Husqvarna and they said just take it back and Big R will submit it as a warranty repair. Wondering why Michelle had said NOTHING about this I brought the chainsaw back that same afternoon. I dealt with the exact same cashier who knew exactly what was going on. And I left the chainsaw to be repaired. Fast-forward like six weeks later. (Because they don't even do the repairs in Santa Fe. They had to send my chainsaw to Colorado.) I get a call that it's ready and I immediately ask is there a $ balance. sure enough they're trying to charge me about $60. So I told him no I'm not paying that and I hung up the phone. I continued receiving calls from various people and I ended up hanging up on all of them. I'll give them credit for continuing to escalate up the chain but I never asked for that. They could have thrown the saw in the trash for all I cared. But every person i spoke with wanted me to jump through hoops instead of just reaching out to Husqvarna to get paid. Pretty sad these people are so stupid or lazy they can't make this simple connection. Finally I get a voicemail from some regional manager and he waived the fee but also made it a point to tell me my business was no longer welcome. Gee! Ya think?! This is such petty Gen Z "you were mean to us" behavior. Yeah don't look at your manager Michelle's massive failure here. Blame the customer. Trust me Big R, you didn't get any money from me and you never will.

ABSOLUTELY TOP-QUALITY MAINTENANCE…read more Early this year (2004) I bought a low-priced Trek Verve bicycle at a different (top-rated) bike shop in Santa Fe. They warned me that the tires were not the best, but I had three flats in just the few months I owned the bike. (I rode on somewhat older and bumpy pavement, never off road.) They ascribed the problem to a bad season for goat heads and sold me new tubes, with goop, for both tires. After one of the repaired tubes had my fourth flat, I asked friends for recommendations, and they referred me to Rob & Charlie's. Their expert Ray was a rank above, with a new diagnosis: The particular tires on my bike, he said, would let the tubes slip slightly on the rims, straining the valve stem and making micro holes in the tube near the stem, if not maintained above 60 PSI. While he was telling me this, he switched the tube with his bare hands in 5 minutes, and I was on my way. I got the bike home, eager to take a ride the next day, and checked with my hand pump that both tires were filled to 70 PSI. Yet when I went to ride the bike the next day, the front tire (the one Ray had fixed) had gone flat and leaked when I tried to pump it. So I called Ray, told him what had happened, and he told me to bring in the front wheel and tire (NOT the whole bike). He examined the new tube he had installed and found it defective. After examining another new tube of the same low-cost brand, and finding micro-leaks also near its stem, Ray upgraded me to a better-quality tube. Again, it took him less than five minutes. At my request, he also extracted the valve-grabbing part of my old Bontrager hand pump, cleaned it and fixed it before my eyes, again in less than five minutes. He charged me nothing for this second visit, the second, better new tube (with goop) or the pump fix, but apologized for my trouble. Ray is simply the best, most expert and quickest bike repair person I've ever encountered. In the future, I will take all my bike repairs to Ray, although I have great hopes that my "Bicycle from Hell," now with suitably pumped-up tires, will mend its ways.
