After getting fizzed, we went on to the moves. The spot is darkened out from the public and the dance floor has about 8 poles facing mirrors like in a dance studio. We learned some cool moves and i definitely felt my sacral chakra vibrating. I recommend this class and pole dance classes for anyone looking to activate that sacral chakra more!

First impressions: the room was dimly lit with lots of colored lights (like the ones used on houses during Christmas) and nicely decorated with a lounge area in the corner with a day bed and some chairs and a rug. Great place to take pictures and miscellaneous photo ops. The studio was very chilly at first, but soon after the introductions, we quickly understood why the temps were set so low... it go so hot hot HOT and by hot I mean "BOW CHICKA BOWOW!" We had so much silly, sexy fun times! We used muscles we didn't even know we had and might have even bruised a few knees and booties attempting some of the super fun twirls and whirls. Loved Cynthia's commentary, she's hilarious. Would definitely 100% do this again! Wish she was closer in NYC so we could take more classes with her!

Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. First, the location was not very inviting, tucked away in a cluster of warehouses. Once inside, we began with stretching. There were young children running around the small studio space, I'm not sure if they were related to the instructor or another participant, but this made it hard to focus. In a paid adult class, I expected a more professional, distraction-free environment. The bigger issue arose when it was time to claim a pole. I saw one available with a phone nearby, but no one was standing next to it or using it, so I assumed it had been left behind during stretching. I went to use that pole, and a woman to my left started trying to get my attention. Due to the music volume, I couldn't hear her clearly. I realized she was telling me that the phone was hers. I asked if she wanted me to pass her the phone. She instead repeated that it was also her pole, sounding annoyed. I explained that I hadn't seen anyone claiming the pole. What followed felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive. She returned to her friend and started commenting about the situation. The studio is small, so I could hear pieces of the conversation through the music. The studio also has mirrors, so it was obvious that her tone and expressions were directed at me. Then, she walked up to the instructor and spoke to her. Shortly after that, the instructor approached me and asked for my name, which made me feel singled out and put on the spot in front of the group. I hadn't done anything wrong, I followed the instructions and picked a pole that appeared to be unclaimed. For the rest of the class, this same participant clapped enthusiastically for others but noticeably refrained from doing so for me. Instead, she gave me dirty looks and made me feel excluded. The whole interaction came off as cliquish and unnecessarily hostile, which is disappointing in what should be an empowering and supportive space for women. What's most concerning is that I signed up for this class days in advance. There should have been enough poles for everyone who registered. If there's limited space or equipment, that should be made clear upfront. It's unfair to register more people than you can reasonably accommodate. This was my first experience with pole dancing, and I had hoped it would be a confidence-building and uplifting environment. Instead, I left feeling awkward and disrespected. I hope the studio can address the equipment and capacity, but most importantly, the atmosphere (making all newcomers feel welcome) so that others have a more positive first experience.

While in town I came here to practice my routine. I was able to purchase a few studio passes…read moreonline. The studio is tucked away in a loft style building. They offer pole, aerial hoop, and aerial silks. The staff is all friendly and talented. During my practices I had the chance to see them work on their own personal routines and WOW! I would love to take their classes. For open (self-led) practice, you can use any of the apparatuses and they will help you take down the aerial hoops and put the poles on spin if you don't know how. I was working on a pole silks routine and had to rig my silk (they don't have pole silks) onto the pole myself. They won't give you a step ladder or anything because it's against their policy... and you know, safety. So be sure you know how to pole climb. I definitely had to learn that day lol. The only thing I don't understand is how close they do aerial hoop or aerial silk classes with the poles right there. I still have some passes left, so I'll definitely be back! And I may grab some class passes too :)

I'm back now since a few months ago and still loving the classes, the instructors are the best, I always go with Brenda but all of they are awesome. They have variety of classes and levels for everyone's need and levels. I extremely recommend Milan studio. IS THIS PLACE COVID SAFE?? The answer is ambiguous sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes you will get there and everyone has the mask on, some times is the opposite . They began taking the temperature a few weeks ago, so that's a step. I always try to stay away from the crowd and always keep my mask on and have my own mat, towels, blocks, everything that you normally will have to use. PARKING and location: Locations is pretty easy to find, is in the heart of Wynwood . Parking depends on the time of the day you go, if you go in the mornings like I do you are gonna be fine because there is parking always. In the afternoon that's another story... parking is limited due to the amount of people on the street in this area and traffic is awful because the streets are just on lane each. So plan ahead with plenty of time for parking otherwise you will be late for the class. you need a code to get in the building, they change it once in a while so you have to be sure you have the correct one. Always call before your first class to check the code.
