Sirena is the seafood restaurant of the Shangri-La hotel located near the jetty port. You can take a buggy or walk there from your room or villa. There is plenty of indoor seating that accommodates small and large groups. Outdoor seating with ocean view is very limited so reservations are highly recommended.
The menu selection is large and the dishes are a little pricey. They have a grilled seafood platter called "For Sharing" which is good for 5-6 persons. We opted instead to order 1 appetizer (Famous Crab Salad), 3 entrees (Red Snapper, Squid, and Salt crusted whole sea bass), 3 sides (zucchini, French fries, and bok choy) plus 2 garlic rice bowls. That was perfect for our party of 6 to share since we were not very hungry to start off.
The crab salad was very good. The snapper was also fresh and delicious and had a spicy kick. The squid was probably our least favorite dish. It was fresh but the flavor just wasn't that good, something made it taste a bit bitter. The sea bass was deboned in front of us and was served with a very yummy mango salsa. All were perfect to eat with rice. They also serve free bread rolls with flavored butters before dinner. Fresh and tasty!
If you just want plain still water to drink, ask for the Shangri-La still water. It's free. Otherwise they will charge you for Evian still, which in my opinion is not worth the pesos.
