It was our last night in Boracay. We had seafood a few nights while there but I still hadn't found salmon. I love salmon and I wanted to try it on this beach island before heading back to Luzon. All week, we went through numerous menus and tried numerous restaurants. I'm here to say this was by far the best we had. I LOVED THIS PLACE! When visiting the island, I will say get away from the dozens of beach restaurants. Those beach restaurants are good too but there are some serious gems if you go searching for them. We looked over the menu for Pig Out and took off walking. We had gone looking for a place called CocoMama earlier in the week. They're both in the same area. This place doesn't have a bad menu item. I wanted to try everything! On future visits, we might just eat here every night! When we arrived, we had to wait for an open table. It wasn't too bad... about 15 minutes and we were seated. They do have a lobby so it was easy waiting and the server gave us a menu to look over while we were waiting. We were first given one of the two-person tables. After a few tables left, my fiance asked to be moved to another table. We already had our drinks and placed our order. The restaurant happily answered our request. The table we were moved to was so much better. We had the extra space and privacy we needed along with comfier chairs. And we were next to the kitchen window so we could watch the food being cooked...always a plus! On to the food: Smoked Ceviche - Local fish. Smoked coconut milk. Red Onion. Citrus marinade. Tomato-horseradish granita. Orange confit. (368 php - 7ish USD). I love ceviche but I wasn't sure what to expect ordering it in another country. It was the same, different, and delicious! These are served in these little saucers... kind of like little shots or oysters. When ordering ceviche, it's primarily for the fish and citrus for me. The tomato aspect of this dish was the main flavor but everything else was there creating an awesome flavor explosion in my mouth! We loved them! Well worth the money! Salmon - Grilled Norwegian Salmon. Basil cream sauce. Baked marble potato. (768 php - 15ish USD). The Salmon here knocked it out of the park. I wasn't sure about the basil cream sauce but it complimented the salmon. And they give you just enough sauce that it's all soaked up by the last bite of your salmon. I appreciated that. Every bite was perfection! Lechon Belly - Smoked 40-hours sous vide pork belly. Scallion puree. Grilled Leeks. Pinakurat. Steamed Rice. (398 php - 8ish USD). Ella ordered the Lechon. I didn't try a bite although I should've. I didn't want to mash Lechon flavor with my salmon and ceviche satisfaction so I passed. We were so satisfied with this meal. I highly recommend making a reservation. I didn't even know that was an option. This spot is locatged right next to Jony's Boutique hotel. The night we arrived to Boracay, we just popped in and our wait was probably 30 minutes. The place is small with some Filipino decor in the interior, so I highly recommend not coming in big groups. We had come in a big group, but since everyone was so hungry, we ended up splitting up. The first group had 6 that ate together, then we had about 8 in our group. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. For our food, we ordered Tuna Carpaccio, Scallops with Lemon Curd, Octopus Tentacles, Grilled Prawns, Bone Marrow Baked Oysters, and 2 Seafood Platters. The Seafood Platter had grilled squid, citrus cured salmon, pickled oyster, baked oyster, smoked-fish ceviche, grilled fish, garlic-steamed small clams, grilled prawns, grilled mussels, and rustic bread. We definitely had leftovers after. I didn't care too much for the carpaccio, but the scallops and prawns were delicious! We all love the bone marrow oysters. Our octopus was a little overcooked, so it was hard to cut into. From the platter, the grilled prawns, mussels, and squid were amazing! If you're craving seafood in Boracay, this is the spot to go to! We were hesitant on eating anything raw unless it had some kind of citrus component, so Pig Out did not disappoint! Enjoyed all the grilled items! Our service was great. They were very accomdating for our last minute group. A hidden gem in Boracay walking by it outside! You come here to eat a rarity in terms of flavors with their seafood. We came in through a suggestion of a local and we were not disappointed. Get the seafood platter and their one of a kind bone marrow oysters. We also had the grilled pork chop. This was a big butcher's cut that you don't see in eateries in the Philippines and it was divine. Chef Jun has taken his culinary expertise and has a created an experience we will not forget here in Boracay. Must try for foodies looking for a surprise who is not looking for a Michelin star ambience but a taste of a Michelin star meal. I came to order a good steak for a friend who had never eaten a steak, and ordered the Porterhouse. This was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The quality of the meat, its preparation and presentation were all superb. It was cooked to perfection and served with three amazing sauces, and fabulous side dishes. The Seafood Platter was amazing and an absolute MUST have. The Fish and Chips, Rib eye steak, tuna tartare sandwich, and the crab cake burger were also *chef's kiss*!!! Amazing. The service was top notch. We showed up with no reservations for this little spot that has maybe 10 indoor tables. They were quick to get us situated and happy to accommodate. Our gang of 5 ordered a variety of mostly seafood focused items - a seafood platter, fresh oysters, fish and chips & a tuna tartare sandwich + a couple of burgers to round things out. The platter was the highlight - This was not the American assortment of heavily fried seafood. Staff made me feel unwelcomed. They were super rude when I was eating my food. I understand maybe they haven't seen a black person before but to keep staring at someone while they are eating is just weird and strange. I was going to order more food but decided against it. It is not easy to eat while you can feel someone staring at your face while you are eating. I will not recommend this place for black people. In my opinion, I think the seafood platter is really good. We ate outside at the 1st table and the plants, atmosphere, is just amazing. As a seafood lover, this was just so good. The service was amazing as well. The music was very techno at the time and as I took my first bite, I thought it was really good. I didn't expect the food would be AWESOME!! I just thought it would be like normal seafood, heres an example of what I expected! : "Oh, it's probably just gonna be normal seafood! Still gonna be pretty good though!" Looked up Yelp and saw some interesting dishes and reviews for this place, so we decided to take a walk to it. Not far from where we're staying, but the heat did get to us a bit. It's about 7-10 minute walk from Bulabog beach. It is located next to Jony's Boutique Hotel. The place is quaint and your traditional feel of a filipino decor. We were greeted by the staff upon entry and felt really welcome, especially when they thought I was filipina. We definitely didn't have to wait to be seated. Guess we came at the right time. We weren't super hungry, so we just ordered small plates. French fries were on point and satisfied my boyfriend's snacky cravings. I ordered the oysters & pearl and the smoked ceviche. I had the last two orders to myself since he cannot have shellfish. The presentation for both were very nice and intriguing. The first two oysters were good because they were different. It was paired with pickled cucumber and roe. By the third one, the pickled cucumber got to me. It was overpowering with vinegar and I couldn't taste the oyster anymore. I had picked out just the oyster to eat eventually. The smoke ceviche was very flavorful and surprisingly good, however I wasn't a big fan of the ants running around the plate it was served on. The mackerel was marinated/cooked in coconut milk topped with citrus dressing and a slice of orange. Overall, it was a nice experience and would come back to try other dishes. read more

By far the best place we've eaten at on Boracay! We had fresh oysters with fresh horseradish. I'm a foodie from California and the steak and fries hit the spot as the well prepared sauce was exquisitely prepared and flavorful. I'm a harsh critic on Philippine food and the Pig Out Bistro brought me back home. It's not easy to get Hugh quality ingredients here and so I was very impressed with this place. The food came to the table fresh and hot...sometimes a challenge I've found. The tuna carpaccio salad was a treat. Again, here in the PH it's hard to get a good fresh salad. The leaf was cool crisp and fresh. Would like to see them add additional greens to liven it up but it was satisfying. Going back before we leave. It's off the beach but we'll worth the trip. If this was the USA I would give a 4 star but here in PH 5 all day...i would eat here 3 x a week easy. My very first review her in the PH after 5 years. They deserve it! read more

Americanized feel for those looking to dine in and have different options than traditional Filipino food on Boracay island. Known for their burgers and rightfully so. The Pig Out burger and the Crab burger were a favorite at our table. We also ordered 3 seafood platters for our table of 10. I gave it a 3 star mostly for the service was slow when they were not completely full. They didn't take orders for drinks and meals for every one at the same time. People in our table were getting their meals before the rest even ordered theirs. Seafood platter took a little longer than expected since we were having that as a shared appetizer. It has a nice modern back comfortable atmosphere, the French wine on their wine list, and the biggest juiciest burgers I have ever seen. My husband had one of those burgers, and it was excellent! Pig Out Bistro is popular Filipino owned gastropub on the main road of Boracay between stations 1 and 2. The space is small, but inviting with a brick wall, chalkboard menu and open kitchen...There are only about 10 tables and no bar. The menu is limited, but creative, featuring oysters, squid ink paella, bone marrow, steaks, wings and burgers. They also feature local craft beer (bottles only, no draft). I had the beef burgundy with mushroom risotto which was super flavorful and my gf had the Jack Daniels wings. We met the chef on the way out and congratulated him....
