Oysters, fries and lychee daiquiri
Lorena C.

Really good happy hour menu, two for one drink specials, fresh fish, oysters and a few standards like soups and fries. The service is good but in a trained robotic kind of way, not authentic but still efficient. Ambiance is nice, lovely split level restaurant, with a balcony with the main level divided by a glass door for silence on the hotel side.

Nalka is a dining destination located on the shores of Boracay. Derived from the word Aklan which is the name of the big island that has the airport next to Boracay. My GF and friends were craving for seafood and couldn't be more glad after we stumbled into this place while walking the beach. I normally take photos of my food but the moment they served but I kelp forgetting and all of us just ate the food because it looked so good and it had the taste to match. You can have each viand cooked the way you like (grilled, garlic butter, etc) and the staff are all so attentive and accommodating including the chef who also came out to say hi. The place isn't that big so make reservations if you're dining with a big group , we waited like 20 minutes. Definitely going back first chance I get.

Great prices if you can bargain!! I loved it and the attendants are pretty friendly once you speak to them. My family came here based on a recommendation from a local. It's in the middle of many other flea market style vendors. We saw from big fresh tiger shrimp, huge live lobster, crabs, tuna, sea urchins and more! They were all alive and kicking. You can tell these are fresh from the sea and not old from a tank at your super market! My hubby and I ordered from this vendor, the hugest lobster there and bargained for it. You can't buy this from the states and cook it like this!! This will fit at least 4 people. Once we ordered all the other seafoods with family, each seafood vendor is affiliated with a place to cook the seafood. They have different ways to cook it for you. It was cooked just right and we did not regret spending the cash for this to be cooked... If you are not into seafood, you don't want to come here as it does smell like seafood. It was all worth it for our lunch!! My tummy was satisfied!!! Yumm

Finally found it on a tourist map and it is in D'Talipapa plaza; around the corner of my hotel. I went during peak hours and it wasn't busy at all. No sides are included with the seafood prices, not even rice. So expect to spend here. Better to dine with a squad instead of solo - so you can enjoy a broader selection of seafood & sides and split the hefty bill. A live one pound warm water lobster set me back $34 USD! I can get one pound cold water Maine lobsters at 99 Ranch for $8-10 lb. Had I known I could have gotten live Russian king crab in Seoul, I would have skipped the lobster here for this price. According to Joey's review, you can bring your seafood from the wet market outside and have them cook it. This might be a cheaper alternative than buying from them directly. I opted for garlic butter but it tasted a bit odd - like soy sauce was used. So just go with butter. It was cooked properly - not over or under. Service was brisk and they spoke good enough English.

First off, I was glad to see the restaurant had A/C and was fairly clean. The service is about average. This was my first time to a seafood restaurant that you first have to go to the market across the way and haggle over the biggest freshest seafood you can find and try to get them to the lowest prices, well all I can say was, fun! I did enjoy it, so 2 lobster and 2 large crabs... I heard we got a good deal, yet I don't know, but oh well, we're on vacation and today was seafood night! game on! When you get to the restaurant they have a paper which gives you a choice of how you wish them to prepare your meal... Everything looked good but I'm old school, i just went steamed for the crabs, butter garlic for one lobster and a chili something else for the other lobster. Overall... the food was delicious! We immensely enjoyed the food! If you find yourself here and don't know where to go, I would certainly give this place a go. The food was well prepared and tasted great.

I was a little skeptical by the fact that there were such great reviews for this location, but so little number of visitors. The food was not bad, but absolutely nothing outstanding. We ordered mango shake, sangria, gambas al ajillo, paella negra, and lengua de vaca. The taste of the food was not formidable and nothing noteworthy. I've had better Spanish food in Southern California and at a price much less than what they charged. In total, with tax and the automatic tip, our meal came to $117 USD or $164 CAD. The two drinks cost only around $8 USD / $11 CAD. I could not believe the lack of value to food quality and taste at this restaurant. They should not represent a 4+ star rating on Google reviews. I was extremely disappointed that I wasted one of my meals here when I could have been trying another restaurant during our limited time in Boracay. The restaurant could be good for date night vibes, with dim lighting and background music. Their individual bathrooms were clean and easily accessible.
