A trip to Boracay simply isn't complete without a smoothie from Jonah's. It's one of the unwritten rules whispered only by the sea. Okay, that's made up, but you get the idea. Located in the nebulous boundary between Station 1 and 2, Jonah's can be easily missed or mistaken with other places of similar sounding names like Jony's. There is only one though. Once you start to see tourists with the bottled smoothies and twisty straws in hand, keep walking -- you're headed in the right direction. My bf and I came here not once, but twice on our vacation. Nothing is more satisfying than a cold smoothie overlooking White Beach. Or if you just want to escape the humidity and those ever-persistent vendors for a moment, Jonah's is a nice retreat. I tried the Mango Pineapple, which tasted like they just picked the very fruit off the tree. Yes, it tastes that fresh. And on another visit I had my bf's favorite, Banana Choco, which is like a rich milkshake. Both times they ask if you'd like them made with milk, which for me is always a hard yes. It reminds me of a dark chocolate peanut butter protein bar but in smoothie/shake version. This is one of their best sellers, and I can see why. Some pretty bomb Fruit Shakes and Smoothies! My wife and I went here almost everyday we were in Boracay. It was a recommendation from a friend of ours. I'm happy we went here. So much selection of fruit smoothies. Only downside, they run out of certain fruits that limit your choices. Service is ok. It's pretty much self seating. Jonah's was a bit of a trek from our hotel in Boracay. About a 20 minute walk along the beach in humid weather seems much further than it sounds. The reward of the food and drink was definitely worth it. 5 stars for the shakes, 4 stars for the food: - Ripe mango shake. This is my go to in all of the Philippines, but at Jonah's it seems the ripe mango is especially sweet and perfectly ripe. They will ask you with or without milk. To my surprise, it doesn't even need the milk! It is delicious all on it's own. I felt I was barely quenching my thirst from the walk when I already had to consider if I was going for round 2. A few more slurps and the answer was an obvious yes, one more ripe mango shake, please ma'am sir! - Pansit was a huge portion! And lined with calamansi. Yes, please I will squeeze as much of that sour goodness on my carb plate. The beach side view completes the experience. Jonah's definitely put me in my happy place! read more

After reading so many awesome reviews we decided that Jonah's was going to be a must go while we were in Boracay... First let me say we had a lovely walk, although we got terribly lost walking along the beach, the wrong way! So from station 2 to station 3 and then all the way back to 1! Yikes! Heck of a walk, but lovely nonetheless. As we arrived at Jonah's, I couldn't find anyone to help us so I had to ask around how do I place an order. The person who did finally come help me, honestly seemed a little rude or put off, perhaps from me, but I don't think I have her any reason to. Everything we ordered was not available and ended up with a pineapple and a watermelon shake. Oh the girl who served our drinks smiled, after her 100 peso tip. Honestly, I wasn't overly impressed, I've had the same or better from other places, not sure why it's just my experience that was overly deflating. Maybe the super duper flavors were sold out maybe those flavors are their magic kickers! In any case I'm sad we missed the most popular house favorites because maybe the experience would have been better. Overall service was below average I didn't appreciate it at all. The drinks were ok, perhaps I will have the pleasure to update my review once we go back for another go! We will go considering the amount of good reviews, I hope it was just off. Well, we're back in Bora and as always we had to stopover at Jonah's - even if it's a few minutes from La Carmela. We ordered Mango Banana, Choco Banana Peanut, and Avocado Banana and this time they tasted great. I rated Jonah's 3-star before but I'm upgrading it to 4 because this time the smoothies we ordered aren't too sweet. It also didn't take them long to serve them so that's a plus. The place is still packed so if you'd rather skip the long walk, you can just call them for delivery - (036) 288 3281. We also ordered Pizza Gibiani (Bacon, Cheese, Onion and Egg) and that tasted stellar too. We would have ordered Jonah's Pizza but that one has tuna and salami and while we love salami, we aren't too keen on having tuna on our pizza. All in all, I enjoyed this trip back to Jonah's. Somehow, between my last trip 7 months ago, they were able to recapture what it was that made them an icon when in Bora. I recommend that you head over to Jonah's whenever you're in Boracay or if you'd rather call them for delivery, that's fine too! :) read more

Jonah's has a near-perfect location, right next to the dock. The location allows you to buy yourself a nice, refreshing drink when you're walking along the beach, or just finishing up a boat ride :-) The beverage I chose on my last visit was a melon/banana; it was refreshing, but a bit too sweet for my taste - next time I'll ask for less sugar; my friends didn't seem to have any complaints about their choices. With a 16oz bottles coming in for for less than three dollars (Pho 150), Jonah's is very affordable AND you can really taste the fruit in your drink. Tip: The fact that they ask of you want milk with your drink is a nice touch - it's nice to know they're looking out for those of us who are lactose-intolerant. We were on the hunt for the much talked about Jonah's Fruit Shake. The yelp location were not up to date and we were given the runaround. The locals kept pointing us to Station 1. So kept walking till the end of Station 1, along the back streets and we finally found it! Yes! I ordered the mango banana shake and my wife ordered the banana peanut. Well it was well worth it! Jonah's is my go to place for a fruit shake before going to the beach. They have a long list of amazing shakes that can be made with or without milk (great for the dairy-free). The location is on a lovely part of White Beach; it's located near Station 1. To be honest, skip the food. Just order a Chori Burger and some Isaw from their grill outside the shop. That said, if it's your first time here, get a shake with Mango in it. Anything with Mango! My favorites are the avocado shake and mango banana. But, you must not miss the choco banana peanut shake! Sooo good! Perfect for the hot weather between swims and long walks. They can serve your shake in a take-away bottle at a good price too. :) Tip: Grab a seat on their lounging chairs. The best for me would be their fruit milkshakes, especially the avocado (if in season), melon and mango flavors! If you find yourself wandering on the beach towards station one, and are tempted to order a fruit shake from one of the many restaurants dotting the beach, trudge on ahead until you hit Jonah's Fruit Shake and Snack Bar. For 100-120 pesos, you can get a sizeable fruit smoothie made from fresh local fruits - mango, pineapple, avocado, and others, with or without milk. Nurse it while you look out into the blue blue water. Note: if you aren't interested in walking all the way to Jonah's in Station One, Jonah's has a branch off Boracay Tambisaan Jetty Port Rd. Take an e-trike and get your drinks there instead. You won't get as nice a view (no beach) but the wait will be shorter and the shakes will be equally good. read more

Fruit shakes are just so perfect in 32 degrees heat and there are many vendors, big and small across the island selling these shakes in all combinations. Jonah's has a few shops on and away from the beach in Stations 1 and 2. The Google maps in Boracay don't really give accurate description - essentially just walk along White Beach until you find it. Very close to the Hotel I was at, Sea Wind Resort and Willy's hotel/Grill. Shakes at Jonah's are great, Where they differ from other places is shakes come in a screw top bottle with straw, not just big plastic cups. A little more sturdy, less chance of sandy shakes but really not a big wow as in that heat you'll be supping that shake in no time with that heat! Boracay is a little big of a Tourist Trap so at Jonah's and other places particularly along the seafront you can find yourself paying anywhere between 200 - 350 Php (£2.80 - £5.00) per shake. You can find places with equally as good shakes, great selection for only 80 Php like Insomnia right by Dmall. read more
