Great place to have fun and relax with friends. Staff is very friendly and the owner is very involved in his business.

I'm still not clear on what and when there is an opportunity to play if you're not in the APA league or tournament or on a team. That being said there was a friendly bartender who walked us through the whole process, and it's still confusing. Not sure if there's room for the average pool player here, but there seems to be some times where there's no scheduled events. The crowd is very old-school and reminds me of a movie about Pool from the 70s.

It's a great atmosphere for man have some beers (they have a good deal for the members) some wings which those look good! Unfortunately I just ate so I'm not going to eat here today. But yes as I was saying it's a great place for a grown man to socialize and have fun! They have a pool league every Thursday 7-10 or so. I'm personally happy that no one smokes inside and it doesn't stink like cigarettes. This is a great place to watch sports. Plenty of pool tables also darts are available. They have two bars. One of which looked closed unfortunately overall is a cool private club for men. I see my husband enjoying it. I will probably leave though :-) 5 stars for my husband I gave 4 just because I feel a little out of place

I've only been here for lunch ... four times to be precise. I don't come here for the pool tables,…read moreor the atmosphere (typical pool-hall atmosphere) .... but rather for the burgers. I've heard other people say that the best burger in town can be found at "ABC Restaurant", or "Restaurant XYZ". My vote goes to Rays. Their burgers are GREAT. The service is not fast (and I'm being kind), but the burger is worth the wait. I've heard rumors that Ray hails from up north (as do I ... and MANY MANY other Aikenites). I don't know what culinary secret he brought with him when he fired up his grill here ... but I'm a fan. I want to try something other than a burger, but the burger is soooo good, that I don't want to deviate from success. The only reason I didn't give a higher rating is that I'm not a typical "pool hall" customer. .... but OH those burgers!

After living in Aiken for nine years my lunch buddy and I ventured into Ray's. I had heard, and…read morethere is a sign on the building claiming the best burger around. We were not disappointed! Sammy (Ray) explained that he has his hamburger freshly ground every morning and buys all of his condiments and toppings locally. The burger is a half of pound and perfectly cooked with a huge side of fries right out of the fryer. I have to admit it may be the best burger that I have had in Aiken, or maybe anywhere. The only drawback of the place is that they allow smoking. Based on that I must give it a four star rating. Based on the food alone it would have been awarded the additional star.

Oh, and it has karaoke FOUR nights a week! It also has darts, pool, and an old style arcade game. Jimmy's looks a little rough on the outside because of poor lighting, but looks can be deceiving. It is members only but it's easy to become a member. Peak hours are a bit unpredictable. Even on a Friday night, sometimes it's really busy and sometimes it is slow. Sometimes it's busy on a Tuesday. You just never know so if it's too slow or too crowded the first time you show up, try again.

They often have home cooked food out and welcome anyone to eat what they would like. Patrons also bring snacks to give to the bar which are given to guest free of charge when available at request. Karaoke with Ernie is absolutely the best. Other KDJs do karaoke on some nights and also do a good job, but nothing beats Ernie. Jimmy's is a melting pot of people and everyone is welcomed equally. You will find a wide range of ages of all types of beliefs and backgrounds having a great time together. Whether it is throwing darts, shooting pool, singing karaoke, or drinking cold beer at the bar. The only cons would be the lighting is poor at night and it does get very smokey. It is easy to overlook that, but it is something to consider if you have poor eyesight or breathing difficulties.
