So since my family has moved south I have yet to experience a night life on my visits and my trips are very frequent. Just so happens on my last visit we ventured to the S Bar after dinner elsewhere. I didn't have high expectations because I'm well aware NYC vs SC is comparing apples and oranges. It was not my typical scene but I had a good ole time watching Friday night Karaoke and listening to the music in between the "American Idol" auditions. The venue is very spacious w/ a DJ who was ok, a dance floor, a large bar and several tables and ample seating. The bar tenders were quick and attentive. We didn't order food because we ate prior. Still not the night life that's my speed but I had the best time enjoying the music and laughing with my fam. Some of the karaoke participants were very good and others just jumped on the mic one too many times. They are open late, I would probably return. Just A Note: The Karaoke goes on a little too long in to the night IMO.

When we arrived, there were few people in the bar, music was blaring quite loud, and the TVs had baseball and basketball but not the soccer. When asked, they quickly changed one of the TVs to the soccer game and we seated ourselves at the bar to watch. I will say that theTV screen had some nasty stuff obviously splattered on it. Esh! Then I tried to order a Yuengling lager but they didn't stock Yuengling! Really? An "elite" sports bar that doesn't stock a well liked lager from the oldest brewery in the United States? Hmmm. OK, so we both ordered Corona brews. When the waitress brought the bottles, my wife asked for a chilled glass and was, instead, handed a plastic cup! Yeah, this sure is an elite bar! NOT!!! Game and beers finished and we quickly left the establishment. We certainly won't be back.

I had the wings, patty melt, and pimento burger, and they were all really good. They also have fun events like comedy nights and karaoke. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Highly recommend checking it out!

We showed up after the posted opening time of 6 PM and opened the unlocked door only to be greeted with a very rude "we're closed" from a group of people sitting around an already lit hookah. I asked when they were open and they stated 7 PM. I mentioned the posted open time but wasn't too worried. We went and got a beer to wait out the hour and came back at 7:10 only to find the door now locked and the same group of people having not moved around the still lit hookah. Obviously the people working on Wednesday July 14th were more concerned about consuming their own product than serving customers who came back twice. If hours are different then make the appropriate changes vs having customers find ways to fill the time in between. Additionally, if you're going to say you open at another time, be open and don't be lazy still sitting talking while customers would like to enjoy your business.

There is three different hookah to choose from, we also had the choice of 6 different flavors. We stayed for about 90min and the hookah was still working ! They also serve alcohol so make sure to bring your ID. Nice and helpful staff !
