Inside it's dark floors and walks, but with enough ambient light it doesn't feel dismal. All of the staff and customers (I will be honest I arrived on a Sunday around 9:30pm) so there were only about 3 customers, but everyone was nice. I decided to try the dinner special, a huge salad with grilled chicken ($15) and a 6 piece plain chicken wings for an additional $5. The wings were small but perfectly crispy and tender. I will assume that they were small because they were only $5. I haven't ordered their normal wings so I don't know if they are always small. But then again, small wings are more indicative of natural, non GMO chicken so that might not be a bad thing. The salad is massive, all the fixings(lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, croutons, cheese, bacon, ) and I chose grilled chicken on it. Definitely a few pounds of salad and I look forward to eating it with my black pepper ranch at home. The music is R&B . They have 1 pool table, nit sure if there's a fee to play, and one of those boxing games. There's also a second bar by the pool table if it gets busy. This is definitely a place I check out again because I feel safe here as a single woman.

My family moved south a few years back and while I love to visit, there is never anything to do…read more Let me preface this by saying we are from the North. Never sleep NYC to be exact. So since my family has moved south I have yet to experience a night life on my visits and my trips are very frequent. Just so happens on my last visit we ventured to the S Bar after dinner elsewhere. I didn't have high expectations because I'm well aware NYC vs SC is comparing apples and oranges. It was not my typical scene but I had a good ole time watching Friday night Karaoke and listening to the music in between the "American Idol" auditions. The venue is very spacious w/ a DJ who was ok, a dance floor, a large bar and several tables and ample seating. The bar tenders were quick and attentive. We didn't order food because we ate prior. Still not the night life that's my speed but I had the best time enjoying the music and laughing with my fam. Some of the karaoke participants were very good and others just jumped on the mic one too many times. They are open late, I would probably return. Just A Note: The Karaoke goes on a little too long in to the night IMO.

My wife and I decided to go there to watch the end of the runner-up World Cup game. When we arrived, there were few people in the bar, music was blaring quite loud, and the TVs had baseball and basketball but not the soccer. When asked, they quickly changed one of the TVs to the soccer game and we seated ourselves at the bar to watch. I will say that theTV screen had some nasty stuff obviously splattered on it. Esh! Then I tried to order a Yuengling lager but they didn't stock Yuengling! Really? An "elite" sports bar that doesn't stock a well liked lager from the oldest brewery in the United States? Hmmm. OK, so we both ordered Corona brews. When the waitress brought the bottles, my wife asked for a chilled glass and was, instead, handed a plastic cup! Yeah, this sure is an elite bar! NOT!!! Game and beers finished and we quickly left the establishment. We certainly won't be back.
