It's been a few years since Yelpers have reviewed this provincial park, but I can say, it seems like it's as good as its ever been. Of note, after you turn into the "entrance" of the park, it's still a good 2-3 km drive on narrow dirt/gravel roads before you enter the actual parking area. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the petroglyphs and were very patient/enthused about answering questions about their history and interpretations. The petroglyphs themselves are housed in a nearly 40-year old structure that protects it from degradation from the elements (because acid rain and limestone don't mix) and humans (because in the 70s, people use to picnic and party on them). There are 3 trails in the area, and I'd recommend some good hiking shoes because there are good sections of elevation and rocks. The Nanabush Trail seems to be the "Goldilocks" of the them - not too long, not too short, but just right.

If you drive there using google maps you will see a small (easy to spot) parking area on the side of the road (can fit 4-8 cars), about 50-60 m before (if you are going east) were Google says the start is, There is also a rock climbing area which is the main reason people stop there.

We are waiting in a long lineup to dump and some people are very slow at going thru the process. I'm not amazed at any of this as it is run by the government. The skating trail is a 1.3km loop that goes throughout the forest and is lit at night with tiki torches on both the trail and the paths between the trail and parking. Beautiful surroundings, fire pits to stay warm, storage area for your belongings while you skate. Very family and community friendly. Both bathrooms and change rooms are available, along with skate rentals if needed. You do need to book in advance. Highly recommended!

Arrowhead Provincial Park is a nice medium-sized park with a few hiking trails and a great place to…read morecome see the Fall colors. Entrance into the park is easy to find, but entry is a bit slow because not everyone reserved a day pass and had to turn around. So don't forget to make a reservation ahead of time. Once you're in the park, drive to the visitor's center to get a printout of your day pass. I'm not sure why we're asked to print out the day pass only to also get another copy. The visitor's center is a good place to start as it's close to most place you'll want to see. Within a short distance walk is the Big Bend lookout. There's a small parking lot there, but it was a little flooded and park employees weren't allowing cars through. There isn't any hiking in this area, so snap that photo of the iconic landmark and go on your merry way. The lookout is fairly small and crowded with maskless visitors. On the other side is Stubb's Falls, which is an easy 2.6km loop trail. It's 1.6km to the falls on the side closest to the vistor's center, and 1km on the other side. The 1.6km trail is fairly dry, but the 1km side is very muddy, so make sure to bring waterproof hiking shoes. The falls themselves are very touristy and the majority of people who visit don't wear masks or keep their masks wrapped around their wrists. After the falls, you can head straight across to view a bridge and Arrowhead Lake. The beaches are pretty nice, but there are lots of mosquitoes here, so make sure to pack some repellant. I tried to park in this area to hike parts of the Arrowhead Lake Trail, but was turned away because parking was full. Overall, Arrowhead is a decent park, but there isn't too much to do or see here.

There are lots of different plants, neat wooden bridges, super big trees and an abandoned old car, for some reason. It's a pretty easy walk, the ground is soft and there weren't any inclines or tough, rocky areas that I could see. It was just nice and serene, except for the sounds of some wood processing plant nearby. There's parking enough for about 20 cars, and it's free.

We booked for a weekend, Feb 2026 (Friday through Sunday) - snowing when we…read morearrived - driveway had not been plowed, pathways & stairs not shoveled - though the main driveway got plowed Sunday morning, the walkways and stairs were not shoveled all weekend. We stayed in a Villa (#601) which was the first one we were put in. After lugging our luggage through an un-shoveled walkway, arriving to the villa and unpacking our bags - the fireplace was not working - nor would the door lock - after complaining to front desk - we were moved to Villa #605 - again un-shoveled walkway, un-shoveled stairs, we were happy that our door was able to be locked. We discovered the TV and fireplace were not working in this unit either - Not wanting to pack up & switch rooms again - we settled for a 10% discount on the room The hotel staff we dealt with were very polite - The resort is overpriced in its current condition - the villa's are severely outdated and in need of repair & updating - the carpets were worn, and looked dirty, window treatments were out of date and shabby looking - visible cracks down the wall in the bedroom - the patio door looked like termites had been eating it and allowed huge draft into the dining area of the villa We ate at the onsite restaurant on the Friday night - service staff were friendly - food was not great - ordered the fish and chips - the batter of the fish was so overcooked, difficult to cut even with knife - and some of the fish inside the batter was not even cooked! Definitely will not book here again -
