I like that Downtown College Park has free parking, with several spaces close to the café as well as a lot behind the building. I arrived around 12:30pm and there was only one other customer inside. The space is beautifully decorated in shades of pink, and the seating is comfortable with a sofa and six bistro-style tables with chairs. They had coffee house music playing on the TV, making it the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a coffee. The café was very clean, and the young lady welcomed me as soon as I walked in and chatted for a moment. They had several syrup flavors, including pumpkin as a seasonal option. I ordered a small 12oz pumpkin latte with oat milk for $7.25 and received a $5 discount with the coffee coupon. The pumpkin spice syrup and oat milk were both an additional dollar each, so it's a pretty expensive cup of coffee for a syrup that isn't made in-house. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect, but the coffee was so-so. The same experience I had last time. The coffee taste was smooth, but I don't get a strong taste of the flavor I selected; it's very weak. If I were to come back, I would have to pay for an extra pump of syrup, or I may just try a pastry next time. It wouldn't be my first choice for coffee, but I will continue to support them if I'm in the area!

I recently checked out Ira Lane Coffee and was able to experience the vision that owner, Taneisha Patrick has wonderfully executed. Ira Lane is a mobile coffee shop, currently stationed on Roswell Road in Buckhead every Saturday and Sunday. This coffee shop on wheels is seriously adorable and Instagramable, but most importantly the coffee is amazing! Ira Lane uses Counter Culture coffee in their espresso drinks and they offer Almond and Oat milk as their milk substitutes. Yes, they have dairy, too. I tried a Lavender Oat Milk Latte and it was superb. Honestly, I had never had lavender syrup in a latte and didn't know what I was missing. I highly recommend it. My partner ordered a Cortado with Almond milk, which I had to try as well. Delicious! I chatted with the owner a bit and learned that Ira Lane can also be booked for events - corporate, weddings, film, you name it. This would be so awesome to have at a wedding! In the meantime, I am definitely looking forward to more weekend visits to Ira Lane. A couple of COVID comments: Masks are in use and hand sanitizer is available.

In terms of the pastry, I do not remember the name, but this was like a sweetened rolled croissant with bacon. It was delicious, and quite filling for my first thing in the morning. I never had anything like this, so it was unique and I enjoyed it think candy bacon cross with a standard butter croissant. All the best things of both are had here. I'm hoping to go back in the future and snag a cinnamon roll, but be there early because others probably have that thought too. Can't wait for my next visit!

Last October, I visited Tyrone, Georgia, and had the good fortune of discovering an absolutely…read moremagical coffee shop--so magical, in fact, that I went back twice during my short trip, even though I'd come all the way from Los Angeles. Now, L.A. is hardly short on coffee joints, but this place was in a league of its own: cozy yet airy, beautifully decorated, with smiling faces behind the counter, a genuinely happy staff, and the delightful bonus of an attached antique store. For the past eight months, I've found myself dreaming of it--every time I step into a Starbucks back home, my mind drifts straight back to that little Tyrone haven: the inviting outdoor area, the peaceful hush as you walk in, the comfortable seating, the quiet hum of contentment. There's something almost ineffable about it. I'm now seriously planning to move down there, and if I do, this place will absolutely become a mainstay of my daily routine. Is it odd to be this fixated on a coffee shop? I honestly don't know--but I am, and in my dreams it looks just as beautiful as it did in person ..
