This is RaceTrac store #587 and it's conveniently located on Camp Creek Parkway near I-285, just OTP (outside the perimeter), in East Point. If you're coming from the interstate, take exit 2. This RaceTrac opened in 2013. It's popular, well-worn, and is showing its age. In metro Atlanta, like QuikTrip, I'm generally a fan of RaceTrac for their big gas stations and convenience stores. They're typically bright, clean, well-stocked (both inside and out), and modern. Also, the gas prices are reasonable. This is a highly-trafficked RaceTrac and I'm willing to bet one of the highest-grossing in Georgia due to the busy area where it's situated. I stopped by this RaceTrac to fill up on my way to nearby Wolf Creek Golf Club in South Fulton. This RaceTrac has 22 pumps and an RT6K build (6,000-square-foot design), the current generation of large-style convenience store. I had no issues except the pump wouldn't accept contactless payment via my NFC credit card. Not a big deal. I was still in and out in a matter of minutes. While not the nicest nor in the best condition of the all the RaceTrac stores I've been to due to high customer volume, I would still return. read more

Today I was headed to work and ran out of gas in the middle of an intersection outside of this Racetrac. While waiting for assistance 3 employees came out to help me push my car out of danger. This was the best service I could ever hope for feom my local gas station. As a manager of a restaurant I would like to use this situation to explain the difference between service and Hopsitality. Its a gas station, so there you would think that there isnt much to say. The bathrooms here are generally clean. The have plenty of gas pimps so the wait for gas isn't normally long. The employees are friendly and I can get in and out in under 5 minutes if I go in to make a purchase. read more

Stopped here for gasoline and bathroom/snack break. Gas prices were very reasonable, so that's always a plus. Bathrooms were clean, and I love the drink selection at Race Trac.... The staff is always nice and friendly when you walk and and give great conversation. This place is stocked with everything you need in & more from a gas station! There are a lot of pumps for gas & it is a perfect location right next to 29 & the highway. Getting in and out can be an issue because it is a congested area. read more

If I could give zero stars I. The owners have a very unwelcoming spirit. They follow customers through the store, as if someone is going to steal something. They don't speak. Listen people, when there are three registers open, you need to form 3 lines. Quit getting upset with me because I walk in and hop in line with one of the registers with no one waiting while you 12 people deep in the single line you all decided to form Also, it is a well know fact, that almost any convenience store wants you to write you lottery numbers on a slip. This place is no exception, and it does not make it easier for you to walk to the counter and ask for 12 quick picks. Fill out a freaking slip. They've won me over from QT and their crushed ice. The RaceTrac crushed ice is a smaller cube and melts in your mouth faster and easier than QT crushed ice does. This location in on Camp Creek as part of the Market Place. that being said, there are a few tips. Be careful when pulling out the parking spaces that are in front or side of the store. Its ridiculous how fast people are driving in a gas station parking lot. Don't let the fact that there is generally two off duty police officers making over time by securing the location. If you leave valuables in your car just to run inside the location, they will most likely be gone when you return. Generally the staff is friendly, but this is a very active convenience store because not only does it support a shopping center, but just to the rear of it are at least a hundred warehouses and manufactures, so it may not all ways be smiling and grinning but more of a hustle to keep the line moving, you know, since people dont seem to realize that when there are three registers open, you form three lines, not a single line. read more

Pumps here never work! Ridiculous! -'d the ones that do work are so slow it takes 10 mins to pump a tank of gas.

I only am a passenger inside a car when we stop for gas. But, it is like the Wild Wild West sometimes and the pumps are not all working many times, and people are rude as hell when trying to beat you to the pumps. They also seem to attract the weirdest groups of people, and the one thing I notice is the Police being parked there, which I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing? Not sure if I feel safe or should be aware because it seems as if they are there because of something I should fear that has gone or or goes on there? I am guessing it is okay to get gas and go. I do not go inside, unless I would need to use the restroom. I try not to have to go inside for any reason. But, I do see many people going inside and coming out of there, so I am guessing they are going inside to purchase something and they are happy since so many people are going and coming and most of the parking spaces are full. read more

Pumps take forever to read a card, the lot is as dirty as the bathroom. The food looks fresh but I didn't want to chance anything that wasn't packaged. If they put as much effort in cleaning the property as they do landscaping, it'd be a decent store. read more

A nice addition to the Camp Creek Marketplace area. The gas is cheap and there are tons of pumps with lots of room to maneuver on the lot. Getting out is a bit congested though. I work nearby and come in frequently since it has opened. Here is a short summary of what is inside: A variety of hot foods such as hot dogs, sausages, taquitos, and other things they'll nuke in the microwave or bake in an oven for you. There is a frozen yogurt area just like Yogurt Land with a lot of different flavors and toppings (pay by weight at the register or just get a free sample). Also a selection of other things like lottery tickets, magazines, Krispy Kreme Donuts, medicine, a wall of sodas, frozen sodas(?), slushies, tons of other drinks, and A WALK IN BEER FRIDGE. Yes, a massive fridge full of reasonably priced adult beverages. Everything is very reasonably or super low priced. Hopefully this is not just a grand opening attraction and the prices stay nice and low. This is quite possibly the best move, as it is perfect for people staying in the two hotels next door. They're open 24 hours so anytime you get the urge for anything, there is nice easy access. The staff is nice and the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because it is a bit dirty. I think this is mostly because of the high traffic. Lots of people litter around the soda and yogurt areas, and remnants of hot dog topping misfires are scattered around the counter. It seems that they operate probably one or two people short of how many they should really have working at any given time. Every time I've visited this RaceTrac, which is very frequently since I do all of my shopping within the Marketplace and my husband is an officer near there as well, I have never had any major issues or concerns other than the restroom facilities not being as tidy as they could be. Also, I'm overly ecstatic about the frozen soft serve yogurt station... A nice healthy treat at your convenience, however, someone needs to make sure they keep an eye on the stations to make kids and homeless people aren't helping themselves to the toppings with their bare hands, which is totally disgusting!!! Also, even though this is a high traffic facility, customer service and politeness should not be non existent... No yelling and getting extra loud with your customers. I give up, since this place opened it is giving inferior service to the community. I have emailed corporate several times with minimal effort to resolve the issues. The physical plant is always filthy, garbage cans overflowing. The pumps ,well that's a crapshoot if they work or not. Just when I thought that QT was the place to go for gas and all the little things you may need from a mini-mart, Race Trac has proven itself to have trumped QT. This one off of Camp Creek Pkwy has it all. All I tell you. Now I'm a little confused about the difference between an icey, a slushie, and a slurpy okay? What I do know is that Race Trac has them all. Sandwiches (pre-made), the hot dogs and sausages being cooked on the little stove thingie? Yes ma'am/sir. Wait for it... Frozen yogurt machine with a buffet of toppings? Affirmative baby! Don't you need somewhere to sit to enjoy your yogurt? Well why don't you just sit at the counter with stools that face the outside or grab one of the tables that sit near the frozen yogurt machine. What? Oh, it's a nice day and you want to sit outside? Damn you want a lot, but no problem. Just sit out on the Race Trac patio. There is plenty of seating. I'm expecting to see a family reunion being held there any day now. All it needs is a grill. The workers seem friendly and are quick and efficient. I only went to Race Trac because there was no QT around, but I've been exposed to real and now I hate lame (stolen straight from Plies' "Shawty" rap song). This has got to be the best gas station in the area! I'm a big QuikTrip nut (then the Raceway stores), so I was ecstatic when they opened this RaceTrac. Here's my pro & con list, even though my list is heavily one-sided: Pros -It's in the perfect location right across from the Camp Creek Marketplace. -There are 20 gas pumps (instead of the average 10). - Window-washing equipment and trash cans at each pump. - Plenty of parking in front of the convenience store. -Very large convenience store with a large inventory of candy, drinks, snacks, car oil, car cleaning products, paper towels, lottery tickets, and what have you. -Very nice, clean, odor-free bathrooms. -Extra friendly staff. Cons -ummm....?? (Well, I guess sometimes on Tuesday nights, when the U-Bar across the street has $2 Tuesdays, it gets overly crowded.... but that's neither here nor there.) read more

I went to the store at 6 am with a hundred dollar bill to get 20 in gas, Ashley with her smart, sarcastic mouth says "I ain't got change for that" She acted like I showed her a baby dinosaur, she threw her hands I can't do it ........really This is the busiest Gas station on this side and between 3 open registers y'all don't have 80 bucks???????? I like coming to this location because it has security. They always have off duty officers at all times when I come. I feel safe going into a gas station with officers inside. Plus the staff is friendly as well. There is one guy that is a shift manager that runs the store smoothly. There is a girl that works there that has a nice spirit about her. A welcome addition to a area of town that needs a gas station badly. Yeah, there are others, but they're past the expressway and they aren't just in a desirable location for traveling. This racetrack location is very convenient to the shopping areas and other leisurely activities on camp creek. They have so much variety in their store and everything is always fully stocked. Every time I go there, it takes me forever to figure out what I want. The only downside is how crowded it is around the clock, but that's not their fault. Also, their gas has very competitive prices that you can't and I recommend this gas station over any other one off of Camp Creek. read more

So this was much needed since there were no gas stations on this side of the interstate. So day one was a cool opening at 7am, plenty employees on hand. Place has yogurt bar, several types of teas, slushy, cold and hour foods. Yes 0.49 on any pastry through March but this morning on April 1st the sign was still up. I noticed ate doing daily that after that first slid week they are starting to fall off slightly. This morning my sausage biscuit had a best by time of 8:30 and was purchased at 7:15 but it was old and the biscuit was hard. Like they kept it sms reheated from maybe yesterday. It's really easy to spot slack when you're going daily sop hope they get back track. Other wise it's a good edition to the neighborhood. read more

So I've been partying in Atlanta for about a week and it's time to head back to Florida. This is my last stop. I think the gas was around 1.70s which was crazy good. It's a nice and well taking care of race track location. U just left the area about five years ago and it wasn't there, soooooo its considered new to me.(Let's see how it looks in five more years thou, HA). Went to a new RaceTrac in my neighborhood today. Sugar Hill, at the corner of Highway 20 and PIB. Opened approx 6 mos. The coffee island where the cream, etc is kept was a mess. There were 2 employees there, talking with each other and "looking busy". The counters were sticky, I used the last of one of the cream bottles and an employee handed me another, without even looking at me. This bottle had never been used, so I had to take off top, open foil, etc to use. The employees continued having a personal discussion. I then had to ask the cashier 3 times, what total amount she was telling me, because she spoke so quietly and did not make eye contact. No smiles, no ask if I needed assistance, and not clean. This is why I will continue giving my business to QT. read more
