My husband and I decided to have our weekly date night at Sip & Doodle and we bought another couple with us. We arrived a few minutes late but Stacy was very kind and welcoming to our group. I loved the fact that we were all able to pick out different paintings so nobody ended up with the same picture. We had a great time, Stacy did an AMAZING job explaining everything AND she made it extra FUN!! My friends had a great time as well and we all can't wait to go back! Stacy has a nice playlist as well read more

My daughter was in from college for a visit so I wanted to plan something fun we could do together. I'm so glad we tried this ! Both of us still draw stick figures so we thought if nothing else it would be a good laugh; but to our surprise we actually did pretty good lol . Stacy who is the owner and instructor was great at guiding us through each step and made it fun! We had a great RELAXING time and want to do it again soon!!!! The main reason I chose this studio was because here you have the option to chose from tons of photos to paint ; where most of the studios make everyone paint the same thing. I highly recommend trying it you won't be disappointed. read more

I am coming back to this place again! Can't believe I actually painted a beautiful picture...hehe So if you go on Groupon and look for paint and sip kind of classes, you will notice that every place makes you paint the same picture. The entire class ends up painting the same thing, which honestly I feel is boring and a complete waste. You are not going to hang two exact same paintings in your house. But at Sip- n- Doodle, you get to choose any picture from either Pinterest or from the stack of printouts that is available for you. When we entered, we were greeted by Stacy, who is the most amazing, highly professional, talented instructor. She had the place lit up! Her studio was so colorful and happy. I was super duper excited and nervous at the same time. She told us to choose whatever picture we like and take our seat. She helped us find the perfect picture as well depending on the difficulty level. We were provided with a foam plate with 4 basic colors: blue, red, white, and yellow, 3 sizes of paint brushes, some chalk, water glass, and a canvas on a stand. As we waited for more people to come it, she made some popcorn (it was complimentary, woohoo!). First she started with the basics and told us what to do and what not to do. She made us take an oath so that we keep all the negativity out and paint like we are all artists. There was a lot of positive energy in the atmosphere and everyone was set to go! She did not spoon feed us or walk us through each and every step. Once she told us about the basics, she kept walking around the studio and helped whoever was stuck. She did give us couple of tips on shading and mixing of colors. I loved the fact that she made us feel very independent. In all that laughing, eating, drinking and painting, we didn't even realize that each of us had created a masterpiece. Stacy was right, we all have it in us. Looking forward to the next session with her. read more

I've been here twice now and just booked a third evening. I purposely picked Sip-n-doodle over the other "paint nite" things because everyone can paint something different. I personally don't need a winter wonderland, nor two of the exact same paintings in my house (when I went with a person I live with). I'm not artistic, but Stacy will come and help you with whatever you need and she has plenty of pieces that are pretty easy (and plenty that aren't!). I agree that my experiences have been very different than Veronica's...plus, can you trust someone with 1 review that happens to be a negative one? Maybe she works at Painting with a Twist ;) If you'd like, Stacy will drill holes on the side and hang your piece with a coordinating ribbon, and also has matted frames for sale. Bring anything you want to drink, she has glasses, bottle openers and ice. She also makes popcorn. It's a great time! read more

Fun times! Some co-workers and I decided to try Sip-n-doodle for our girls night out. We found a Groupon and made our reservation online. We arrived a bit early, around 6:40, for a 7pm starting time. Stacy was already there and said it was ok that we came in. She showed us where we'd be sitting and then showed us where we could find a picture to paint. Other people started coming in and getting assembled. We took some drinks and snacks. I saw others that brought snack and drink items as well. She has popcorn available and glasses four people to use for their drinks. We finally started about 7:30 and she gave is basic instructions and we were on our way. She continuously walked around and helped as much as she could along with her assistant. I really enjoyed myself and would definitely go again. There was a drawing at the end of the night where everyone got to choose their favorite painting. That person won a free class. She also had frames available for purchase as well. I'm looking forward to the next time. read more

Stacy was accommodating for my family of 4! She showed us where to start and how to build upon our photos to make them something beautiful. She was patient and watchful whenever we had questions about the process or what to do next with our pictures. We were the only ones in the room so it was easy for her to take care of us and guide us effectively. Can't wait to go again! read more

Sip-n-doodle - After 2 hours of some great time - Art Classes Near Me - Plano, Texas

Our friends purchased us a session through groupon as a birthday gift. After the owner argued with my friend about a conversation that they had on the phone about accepting it or not she finally remembered and then complained about groupon and how we should of just purchased it from her. We told her it was a gift and I finally got fed up and asked her if she wanted us to leave!!! During painting...I got some help on my painting from the owner but my friend got none and felt lost the whole time...when i needed help instead of instructing us she would grab my painting to fix it...she did this with several painters. I won't be going back. I have been to Painting with a twist in Rockwall and it's more fun and WAY more professional. read more

Love this place. I've been here twice with friends, and both times it has been a fun experience. The first time I went, I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect. There was really nothing to be nervous about. Stacy will help you out if you feel like you have no clue what you're doing. I thought the picture I chose to paint was way too hard for me, but with her guidance it actually turned out really well. The second time I went, I brought my own picture to paint. She has tons of pictures for you to choose from, but you can always bring your own. I took another friend with me the second time, and she had a blast as well. Bring your own drinks and snacks, and she has popcorn popping in case you want to snack on that as well. It's a really great experience, and I can't wait to go back. Also, I realized one of my favorite things about Sip-n-Doodle is that Stacy has you use chalk to chalk on the outline of whatever you are painting. I went to another BYOB and paint place when I was in another state, and they didn't do that. I was so frustrated because we all had to paint the same thing, and I kept messing it up. Plus the instructor was so fast in all they wanted us to do. I love how at Sip-n-Doodle you can paint whatever you feel like painting... But that chalk, it's a lifesaver. It's relaxing and fun, just as a place like this should be. No need for stress. Thanks for a great time, Stacy. We will be back. read more

I took my Girl Scout troop to Sip N Doodle for our Holiday Party. We had 9 middle school girls and 2 adults. We all had such a fun time! Most of the places I have seen have everyone do the same painting. Not here. We each got to pick a picture or painting that we wanted to imitate. That was a major plus for my group. Miss Stacy was amazing! She was patient with all of the girls (and us leaders) and helped without criticism. All of the girls had a wonderful experience and I can't recommend her more highly. This was a great place to go. read more

Having an amazing time with my coworkers. This is the best ever. To be able to pick your own pictures so everyone has gotten to pick their own pics. Make sure to visit. It was awesome AND I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture I selected to paint. I'm going again!! People need to know the difference of having a picture that you choose and relate with rather than someone picking it out for you! read more

Sip and Doodle was an amazing experience! It was my first time ever and Stacey made it all worthwhile. You get to choose your own picture to paint!!! AND if you aren't able to sketch, like me, Stacey will help you. There were a few favorites of the night, "No negative zone". Loved it! Another favorite, she frames or hangs it for you so that you don't worry about throwing it somewhere under a pile. I highly recommend Sip and Doodle! Stacy ROCKS!!! read more

The ladies here were great! Super helpful for the novice (aka me) with how to make a beautiful painting. It was especially nice to be able to choose what photo was turned into a painting! It's a BYOB situation but they had glasses and popcorn there. Met great people while we were there. Definitely recommend visiting! read more

Wow!!! Not even sure that Veronica G. Went to the same sip n doodle that I went too that was located in Plano. I had the best experience at this location. The instructor Stacy was outstanding and gave great suggestions and all I had to do is raise my hand for help and she or the assistant was there quickly. Hands down and very positive, fun and good energy experience. I recommend this location to anyone. Thanks Stacy for making this a memorable experience!!! read more

Stacy was AMAZING!!!! We had a private party for my friends birthday and Stacy was soooooo fun, positive, upbeat and TALENTED!!!! I've done other sip and paints before and Stacy definitely turned the experience up a notch!! She was so incredibly patient with us, even when our session ran almost 2 hours over. She helped us as much or as little as we desired and ultimately made sure we were all happy with our creations. This place is also BYOB and food, and the popcorn she made us was sooo good too. Thank you for a good time, Stacy!! read more

Of all the sip n doodles I have been to, this was the worst experience. The instructors were not as pleasant or easy to get them to assist with painting suggestions or help. I always take friends and their experience was the same with the Plano location too. Even making the reservation was unpleasant because I had groupons. The owner said she was getting away from using the groupons and told me to return the groupon and she would give me the groupon price to make a reservation...hello, why not just honor the groupon and make it more convenient for the customer??? I will not be attending another sip n doodle (especially at this location). I will try painting with a twist for my next ones. read more

My sister-in-law came to visit so I wanted to do something different with her. We and some of my friends all went to the Sip-n-Doodle and had a great time! Stacy was so entertaining, passionate understanding and helpful. We had a blast. I will be coming back again when my niece visits me this summer! read more

We used this location for my bachelorette party just last night. Stacy was fantastic! We had a private party that went into midnight and she stayed positive and upbeat the whole time. It was obvious that this was something she put her heart into and was going above and beyond to make sure our night was fantastic. We had wine and popcorn and chose many different paintings. There were so many options, and if you were stuck Stacy would offer advice and help. This didn't look like much from the outside so we were a little skeptical, but you don't need much to paint and drink! Fantastic night. Thank you! read more

Soooo much fun!!! Excellent way to spend a gloomy Sunday with my future bridesmaids. Came here after a dress fitting with some wine looking for a little relaxation. I love that you can pick out what you want to paint and it's not the same for everyone. They have a care free leave you worries behind attitude. I will definitely be back with another bottle of wine. Thanks for a great welcoming experience. read more

I gave this to my mom for her birthday, and she said it was one of her favorite gifts ever :) We are not artists by any means, but we loved trying (with wine! hey hey!). The staff was friendly, helpful, and didn't laugh at our attempts. It was a great time and will definitely be back! read more

I bought a Groupon for sip-n-doodle and I loved It! I have been to painting with a twist before, and while my experience there wasn't bad, I liked the freedom of choice at sip-n-doodle, even though at first going through all of the ideas was a little overwhelming. The owner is fantastic!! She is very helpful and fun. I like that she includes poking holes in the top and using string so you can hang it. You can buy frames too for a little more. My friend and I had an awesome time. read more

Stacy was amazing!! She kept it easy and the class was great! I love that you pick what you want to draw and not the same that everyone is doing and you still get just as much attention as you need. We will be coming back and bringing friends! read more

I LOVE painting here! Stacy is passionate about providing an opportunity for artists of all ages and levels to create, grow, and learn! Other painting places make me feel like my painting has to look like everybody else's. At Sip-n-Doodle, I feel free to do as I please and to get lost in the process without worrying about the end product. I'm relatively new to painting, but I've already had offers from people wanting to buy my art-thanks to Stacy's patience and guidance! Go by yourself, or bring your friends; either way you're bound to have a lovely time. read more

Avoid this place!!!! The lady is unprofessional. I called to make sure my reservation went through ok the morning of the paint party and the lady I spoke with said she couldn't check the list. She was too lazy to look, but said to come on in they didn't have many people today. So me and my daughter, whom I had planned this with about a month ago went for our painting session. When I got there the lady told me that I didn't have a reservation and that they were all booked up. Some people called an hour before the class and she let them in instead. I called to make a reservation that morning and she told me not to and everything was fine. Later she changed her mind. If she would've booked my reservations when I called there wouldn't have been an issue. My daughter and I wasted our time driving over there and the lady was not fair and said she didn't know if she had enough paint. I would avoid this place if you don't want the same!!! read more
