I arrived with high hopes, only to be disappointed. 1. The stylist was likely an apprentice who had only recently obtained their license; their technique and handling were very clumsy. The attention to detail, in particular, was painful to watch. 2. After washing my child's hair and drying it off, I noticed there was still shampoo foam left on his head. When I pointed this out, the stylist simply wet the towel and gave it a quick wipe--that was it. I asked for another rinse, but the stylist refused, claiming that was their standard procedure. I even offered to wash the remaining foam out myself, but they wouldn't allow that either... It was truly disappointing. I had originally intended to see how the haircut turned out before booking an appointment for myself, but given this level of service and skill, I'll be steering clear of this place.

She has a cute sit up all to herself which is nice. She is very friendly and makes meeting for the first time very easy, not uncomfortable when you met for the first time. Once for a trim and highlights, and the last time for the same thing and both times was not what I wanted. This last time she messed up the cut and the color made my hair orange. So I found Mackenzie and had an appointment yesterday. She not only corrected the color but the cut. I love it! Daughter approved! I literally sat there and watched her mix things that I've never seen done before. She had another customer coming in and she didn't allow that to be rushed. I've been a client of Sip & Style for several years now, and I can confidently say it's my go-to spot for both relaxation and beauty. Whether I'm getting my thick, long hair washed and styled or opting for a quick, dry style, the team always delivers top-notch service with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the things I love most about Sip and Style is the variety of services they offer--adding a set of lashes, eye makeup, or just enjoying a calming wash and style. Every visit feels like a mini pampering session, and their attention to detail keeps me coming back time and time again. It's the perfect escape for busy moms like me who need a moment to unwind or feel fabulous. The beverage selection is a delightful bonus--whether I stop in early for a coffee or indulge in an afternoon or evening mocktail, there's always something delicious to sip on during my appointment. It truly enhances the experience! Customer service is key for me, and the team at Sip and Style consistently exceeds expectations. They've welcomed community professionals, my daughter and I for mom-and-mini-me bonding time. It's a space where I feel valued and cared for every single visit. If you're looking for a stylish, fun, and relaxing environment to celebrate with friends or just to enjoy some well-deserved self-care, Sip and Style is the perfect spot. I keep coming back because they never cease to amaze me with their professionalism, creativity, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend read more

This review isn't for the business itself it's the owner. The owner of this company almost took me off the road the other day on her way home from Paso Robles to Bakersfield. She was drunk and driving an BMW X5 with her business name on her license plate, almost crashed into me with my newborn in the car. Not only does she not deserve her own company, but she does not deserve a drivers license. She needs an awakening. read more

I felt really uncomfortable, and honestly, it felt discriminatory. When she cut my hair, she barely cut anything and didn't even try to layer it as I asked. This was just for a simple haircut, but she did attempt to style it, and it barely looked touched. She kept saying it was because of my thin hair, but that just felt like an excuse. On top of that, there was a confusing payment situation--I was asked to pay twice and ended up out $100. At this point, I don't even care about getting the $50 back; What made the situation even more frustrating was that after the payment issue came up, she later claimed I had sent the money to the wrong number. Before sending any payment, I specifically asked her to verify that it was the correct number, and she confirmed that it was. It felt unfair to be blamed for a mistake after I had taken the extra step to confirm the information beforehand. I just never want to deal with this place again. I discovered them through their Instagram work on brides. They had a monthly special for balayage/ombre styles, so I went there to have my ombre corrected. My hair before Mix was so brassy, and the ombre wasn't blended as well as it could have been. The great thing about the Mix Salon is that all the employees are trained in Jay Rua's ombre technique. These women are always on top of their trends, and I believe they go to different hair shows to learn new techniques and to stay on top of their hair game. Their salon is small with a total of 4 employees: 3 stylists and 1 assistant. I feel that it was great though because it really feels like visiting a happy family. They also all work as a team, always asking each other for advice for the technique or method used on hair. Gema was my primary stylist for the visit, and Elsa worked as her back up for a portion of the time. They mainly worked as a team when applying the bleach to my hair. This made my hair evenly process, so I did not have any random spots where the front was lighter or dark than the back. Overall, I'm very happy with my hair, and I've been dying to go back. I just need to find the time and save up the money. It is such a cute and comfortable place. It definitely worth giving Mix Salon a visit.
